The Immortal Witch's Death Wish

The Immortal Witch's Death Wish
HIATUS
133 pages

In this world, one must realize that we are not born equal. Intrinsically, the value of each individual being is unquantifiable. However, when we are born, we are born in many varying positions- sometimes at the bottom, sometimes at the top. Thus, we strive to reach a higher place in life. Though try as we may, we must realize our lack of equality. Only in death, are we truly equal. The young, the old, the rich, the poor, the humans, the animals, sane and insane, all find equality in death. This inescapable law, allows all of us to reach the same destination.

So what can be said of someone who cannot die…? Surely, they’d never be able to rest, they’d carry on about their life attempting to reach that end point that they were robbed of.

To live opposite of humanity, with just one single wish in their heart. This wish can be heard from the bottom of their heart:

-“I want to die.”-

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This book is one centered around an overpowered witch who, as the title suggests, only wish to die. The MC is not intended to be a good character, and may often times be perceived as a villain. Heavily influenced by an anime style of writing. For those who love Overlord, Tanya The Terrible, Re:Zero or even my previous novel Plague Children, this light novel is for you.

Sometimes things happen in this world that we are not in control of. Sometimes we are to a certain degree, and sometimes we are completely in control. However, this is a tale that constantly questions those boundaries. The story follows Kagami, a young programmer, as he winds up in a world almost alien to him. If it were up to him, he would have never visited this world and would rather stay raising his young daughter.

Was it through his own actions that he had wound up here? Was it due to several combinations of factors? Or was it something he completely chose. These are questions that constantly haunt Kagami’s mind as he wanders this world and ponders his actions. Unfortunately, the glaring truth of it all refuses to ever look him in the eyes.

Each night as he looks up at the night sky, he wonders if the end of this would turn out like the game he made. A tale of Guts and Glory… or would it turn out like he fears, a tale of blood and tears.

Regardless of how it turns out, he will one day unveil the truth enshrouding it all. And perhaps in doing so, unveil the fate of his old world, enshrouded by mystery.

___________________________________________________________________________

While this is a typical Isekai started by the infamous truck-kun, the story is most definitely not what is to be taken at face value. I love making tragic twists into these types of stories. For Code Reader Kagami, you'll begin to see a descent into psychological madness. As your hero changes entirely from the moral man he initially was. If you're not a fan of dark aspect stories, this one is not for you.

Thank you~

Years ago, in the country of Sei'O, a plague spread and turned half of their population to stone. The children of those infected were born with skin abandoned of all color. Completely grey, they were known as Plague Children.

Though they possessed no ability to spread the plague, they were heavily mistreated, discriminated against, ostracized, and often times killed at their younger ages.

The story follows the young Plague Child Ora, as he gains one of the strongest relics the world would ever come to see. With it, everything changes with relative ease. What fate awaits this world that heavily mistreated Ora?

In this world of magic, relics, and ancient arts, no one could be certain.

In this world, they have a saying. Every few centuries, somewhere in the heavens, a coin is flipped. Whichever side it lands on in the human realms determine the events of their world for the next few hundreds of years.

In preparation for the oncoming danger, 100 heroes were summoned from a different plane. For Rhys, this was exactly what he needed. In his past life, he was a useless failure, unskilled in anything. This was his golden opportunity.

Or so he thought. Not too long into his dream, he realized he had the inability to level up. It seems even in this world, there was no escaping his uselessness.
