Locking Horns, Breaking Teeth. [Minotaur Paladin Rewrite.]

Locking Horns, Breaking Teeth. [Minotaur Paladin Rewrite.]
HIATUS

The aliens are here. And they want blood, money and reality tv. They don't particularly care how they get it.

Garok, a minotaur from another world, is summoned to be one of their Boss Monsters. Understandably miffed at being cut off from his gods and powers, he sticks a giant middle finger to that and stomps off to do what he does best: break undead skulls and heal people.

Clair is far from home, fed up with the random bullshit of a world going to hell in a handbasket, and generally not in the best of moods. With a dark past, warrants out for her arrest and a tag-along she doesn't want or need, she's not having such a great day.

Well, neither is Dumrye. Turns out, being tech support for the alien invasion isn't the glamorous job this little droid dreamed of when it joined up with Tiipenet. All those random Earth trolls are getting on its bad side, and a Droidian with a skewed temper control algorithm is something you usually stay away from.

So, with our little band of misfits introduced (we may have forgotten the lonely demi-lich, genocidal redneck and a hyper-responsible summoner-to-be, but, eh, who cares?) lets get on with it. Sounds like all the trappings of a good reality show, no?

Hehehehehe.

This is a semi Parody of the game Exiled Kingdoms. Several concepts and monsters are drawn from there. if you like this story, i reccomend checking it out. it's free to play on Android and available for full purchase on PC. It's an Offline RPG that i've poured many hours into, and helped me partially when writing this story.

Note: despite some heavy content early on. this story will NOT be Grimdark.

If you like this, help me by pointing out spelling mistakes and typos, as well as letting me know what you think in the comments.

If you REALLY like it, take a few moments and rate the story.

There's always a limit to how much people can take. Bullshit. Pandering. Brutality. Death. Steff passed hers a long time ago. She's a foreigner in this world, an unwelcome guest. She doesn't really care. After two years of putting up with things that rub her in the wrong direction every single day, of seeing a civilization trying it's best to devour and destroy itself, she snaps.

Woe betide those who get in her way. With the Grand Demon's Duel -a premier tournament for arrogant young masters trying to prove themselves- she has a perfect outlet for all that pent-up violence.

Faces will be flattened, crotches smoten, ancestors insulted and All. Hell. Raised.

Here lie the souls of unborn stories.

These words are written upon a single, lonely tombstone, standing alone on a darkened hill. Around it lie ghostly pages, tattered and torn, yet untouchable. Their stories strain against the pages, their ink wriggles, waiting for someone to read it. To gaze upon what has been created, but never finished. Unborn. Unknown.

You approach, and bend down on the wet grass. By some magick, you are able to grasp the sheets and lift them to be read..

Authors note: The Graveyard is a collection of short stories, work i've started but never finished, and likely never will. Still, instead of hoarding them, i intend to show them anway, and maybe let people decide which ones i should continue. These were written over the course of my writing career, and as such, the quality varies.

You have been warned.

The Gods are dead. The world died with them. All that remains is dirt, death and the Tower. A dead God's final taunt, it stands above the broken ruins of civilization, a challenge to the living.

Nearly four hundred years have passed since the Breaking Of The World, and the Tower still stands unbowed. From it come swarms of monsters, plaguing the world and destroying all they find. Only when the Tower falls will the Breaking be undone. But it has tested the finest forces the living could muster, and found them wanting. It is ancient, and it only grows stronger with every death within the darkness.
