Dungeon Crawler Carl

Dungeon Crawler Carl

It's the most-watched game show in the galaxy!

In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth--from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds to all the trucks and cars--collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground.

The buildings and all the people inside, they've all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot. A dungeon so enormous, it circles the entire globe.

Only a few dare venture inside. But once you're in, you can't get out. And what's worse, each level has a time limit. You have but days to find a staircase to the next level down, or it's game over. In this game, it's not about your strength or your dexterity. It's about your followers, your views. It's about building an audience and killing those goblins with style.

You can't just survive here. You gotta survive big.

You gotta fight with vigor, with excitement. You gotta make them stand up and cheer. And if you do have that "it" factor, you may just find yourself with a following. That's the only way to truly survive in this game, with the help of the loot boxes dropped upon you by the generous benefactors watching from across the galaxy.

They call it Dungeon Crawler World. But for Carl, it's anything but a game.

We have a Discord! Spoilers abound. I wouldn't venture within unless you're caught up.

This is a work in progress. Editing will be done after the book is complete, so there will be egregious typos and parts that make no sense whatsoever. Please, please feel free to point any and all of these things out. Chapters WILL get edited, and that editing might break earlier chapters. I will attempt to keep readers apprised of all changes. I will attempt to update this regularly.

In the wake of human-initiated Armageddon, Colin Callum will do anything to survive on the streets of fallout Buenos Aires. But when Colin is infected with a virus that will warp him from human to monster, the hard-core, never-wanted-to-be-a hero has only one choice left.

To fulfill a promise made to a dead friend. To enter Thorr’un, a fantasy world where Colin must choose a new name, a new identity and a new path. To figure out what the hell it even means to have Dexterity 20.

But as he encounters ancient kings, crumbling dungeons, active war zones and beautiful women whose names he can hardly pronounce, Colin must face two vital truths.

He never was much of a gamer.

And in the world of Thorr’un no deed, good or evil, goes unpunished.

Release Schedule: (Royal Road) As I can, building back up to 5x/week; (Patreon) Most weekdays

On Warnings: This is a high-octane, high-adrenaline, high-oxytocin story about mind-boggling adventure, terrifying monsters, a badass protagonist and, at times, the jaw-dropping women who fight alongside him.

Is there swearing? Hell yes.

Is there violence? Those monsters won't kill themselves!

Does he meet (and sleep with) gorgeous fantasy babes? Of course he does!

We live in a world of where many authors are afraid to include certain content for fear of scaring off their readers. I won't do that. I trust you. And if you trust me, you'll love my work.

Anything for a damn cup of coffee.

Death comes quickly and without warning. Even for such little personage as him.

It's quite hard to start as a dungeon core. Quite harder when divine bureaucracy simply dumps you in the a** end of nowhere because of their incompetence and because of your agent status as a Fallen Angel.

Yet Uno (temporary name) is used to working with subpar materials and making the best of circumstances. It doesn't help that his personality was cut down to size, but he tries to overcome the system with ingenuity and a healthy dose of duct tape. Or the local equivalent of such.

An audiobook of the Forgotten Dungeon story has been made by Agro Squerrils and is available on YouTube, under this link:

Hello people! It's a story about a dungeon. Or maybe the dungeon? Who knows. Dumped in a hostile world, working hard to overcome circumstances. There is an RPG system in place, but I'll try to make it not number-heavy. I would be more focused on skills - at least from the perspective of the sentient races. Dungeons will have their own little playground.

I'll try to make MC not overpowered - it always irks me how the stories tend to go from zero to hero in a few minutes. I hope y'all will enjoy the ride!

Declan was but a teenager when he was invited to Gaia. It wasn't some popular VRMMO like the ones his friend keeps recommending, nor was it a 'game' in the traditional sense. Gaia was the stopgap to Indiri, a living breathing world, the final creation of a dead genius. Invited to this world by Eve, the overseer and an AI light-years greater than any that came before her, Declan was given a choice.

To play or not to play?

Well, why the hell not?

Hello, this is a pretty basic VR story which I started writing out of boredom, don't expect anything too great here, it's a somewhat unique setting but with mostly slice of life comedy shenanigans with no real 'plot' since I can't reliably include stakes in a world where respawning is a thing. I'll try to upload at least once every other week but real life stuff may get in the way occasionally.

**WARNING** Protagonist comes with an inbuilt wizard hat. Also any mentions of chapter titles shall be met with falling rocks TPK.

During this process, he ends up with the Race Demon Lord and the class of the same name. A dragon, severely injured from the wounds she suffered after being ambushed, returned home to the center of a volcano. Her injuries exposed the vast amount of aether within her which flowed out like blood from an open wound. All of this energy found its way into an ordinary rock – into me. Her aether turned me into a dungeon core that would convert the entire volcano and beyond into my territory, and that is only the beginning of my many legends.

This is a story about how I turned from a rock into a dungeon core and, eventually, into the most powerful being alive. Well, some might debate that last part, but they would be wrong. Probably. Yeah, definitely. Of course I’m the best!

"Um... Hello, I guess? Is this where I'm supposed to explain what's going on? Well, I would love if someone explained things to me for a change, but whatever, I will give it a try.

So, my name is Leonard Dunning, pleased to make your acquaintance. According to my ID, I'm a fairly average high-schooler, living alone while my parents are somewhere 'overseas', wherever that may be. I'm tall, pretty fit, living in an impeccably clean house, and I attend a scenic high school full of friends, romance and coming-of-age hi-jinks. Sounds neat on paper, right? Too bad I have absolutely no memory of any of this. One day I simply woke up in this weirdly pristine world with a splitting headache and a nasty case of retrograde amnesia that left me a blank slate unable to recognize even my face in the mirror. Worse yet, apparently this whole place is running on fairly clichéd writing conventions and stereotypes, complete with obvious background characters and dense harem protagonists!

So, what would your average guy do in this kind of situation? I have no clue, but as for me, I decided to roll up my sleeves, grab a notepad, observe this weird world and work out what makes it tick. If you are curious about how deep this rabbit hole goes (and trust me, we will need spelunking equipment), you are more than welcome to come along for the ride."
