When aliens make their first known appearance on Earth, it is in a small southern town.  

It soon becomes apparent that weapons of any kind are useless against the superior minds of the alien enemy.

This is an account of the beginning... Of the end of the world.  As told by a surviving member of the small community upon which the visitors first descended.

A lonely boy creates a dimensional portal using his laptop.  An interactive Artificial Intelligence generates "the perfect sidekick" using only the child's search history.  Meet Teddie Ruxbear.
