Synopsis #2:

Tired of cookie-cutter isekai protags whom you care nothing about?

Well, have I got news for you!

Glimpse of Eternity is a character-driven [Reincarnation Isekai] story where I — the author — aim to have you care about the main character!

Feel happy when good things happen to him! Become saddened by the tragedies that afflict him...

Laugh along with him as he laughs and cry when he cries!

What are you waiting for? Give it a shot!

Disclaimers and Miscellaneous Information:

[This story is quite a slow burner, especially since 200+ pages are dedicated to his life before getting reincarnated.]

[Chapter Length: 2500-3500 words (It can only be more, never less.) (This does not apply for bonus/extra or interlude chapters.)]

[Chapter Release: Irregular (While in Writathon)]

[The Warning tags are just there to give me creative freedom. I don't plan to be overly descriptive of schmex scenes and gore. Don't worry. Though the profanity tag is definitely well-placed.]

[I have sworn to the heavens that I will write this story to completion. Unless my story ends before I can finish this one, I will continue.]

Hello! I'm Lire, and this is my first fiction! (Started on May 9, 2022!)

I know it's going to be rough around the edges, but I'm trying my best to improve day by day. I hope you're patient with me if you do give this fiction a try!

Correction suggestions are appreciated. Same with grammar corrections. English isn't my first language, so it would help me improve.

I'll try my best to make as few mistakes as possible though!

Constructive criticism is also very welcome.

Anything to make my first brainchild, the best it can possibly be!

If all you do is diss it, without providing anything constructive, I'm ready to pour whatever creative juices I have into making up insults for you, your mother, and all your Ancestors! long as I don't feel particularly lazy at the time.

Well, if your diss makes me laugh while also being true, you get a pass too.

(Ooh, that kinda rhymed...)

Rejoice Humanity! You have been invited to join the Galactic Hegemon.

It is time for our Centenary Caste Competition. The best 1% of humanity will be given a 1 cycle tutorial before the 5 cycle contest.

Be brave, be bold, but most of all, be strong and earn your place and privileges.

Burning red letters hung large in the vision of everyone on earth that knew a written language. At the same moment that smartest, fastest, and strongest people on the planet disappeared with nothing to mark their passing. After a cycle of training and growth they would compete to earn their place in their suddenly expanded galaxy. This is not their story.

Joe did his best to take care of his parents house and stay healthy. He was the only one of the four family members not chosen. The societal upheaval made by the announcement made the inflation and purges of the 20's seem pleasant by comparison but he keeps his head down and survives. Once the next message arrives 11 months later about the contest starting, even that society broke down into city states around large population centers. Joe tightened his belt and looked forward to the day that his family returned. Two years later burning red letters once again filled his vision.

Humanity, the last of your competitors have been eliminated.

Your determined caste level is 13 of 13.

As such your planet has been claimed and will be repurposed for ideal resource production. Rifts will be seeded across the planet to increase resources and mana density. Your orbit will be corrected to ideal Hegemon standard. Do not interfere with any Hegemon activity, as the bottom caste you have no rights.

Rejoice that all castes receive at least the basic Hegemon Growth System.

Better luck next century.

Joe didn't comprehend any of it. His family was dead. Everything he cared about was gone.

Soul of the Warrior

Soul of the Warrior

In a world where Classes, Stats, and Levels are the everyday norm, Reivyn has a secret.

He was unusually aware of his surroundings from an incredibly early age, and Skills and Stats were acquired easily. He was just the son of an ordinary village family, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface. But below the surface, dreams of another life help shape his mentality and growth. Why does he have some remembrance of a past life, and what is his purpose in this new one?

"Soul of the Warrior" is what I call a Semi-Isekai LitRPG. I say "semi," because Reivyn's past life is remembered like a dream, and very incomplete. It is still Isekai, though, as he remembers enough that it directly shapes his personality and his sense of self.

The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas. They have both graciously granted me permission.

Book One: Paranoid Mage

Callum had seen things all his life.  There are monsters and beasts living among people, but he learned very early not to admit such things, not if he didn’t want people to think him crazy.

It turns out that the supernatural is real, but at thirty Callum has no desire to be part of that secret.  Not that he has a choice when it turns out he is a mage, albeit one that hasn’t cast any spells in all his life.  There are requirements, duties, and education that the powers that be insist he be subject to.

To hell with that.

Book Two: Renegade Mage

Buy on Amazon!

After escaping from the Guild of Arcane Regulation and the Bureau of Secret Enforcement, Callum has lost his greatest protection: his obscurity.  Now the powers that be know who he is, and hiding is harder than ever.  Nor is hiding a plan, just a reaction.

Now Callum is forced to decide how he wants to approach the supernatural world, and how he’s going to keep himself secure when the apparatus of government is arrayed against him.  Even if he wanted to live as a mage, that bridge has been thoroughly burned, and even if he wanted to live as a normal person, he is far too deep to close his eyes to what he’s seen.

He has to make his own terms.

Book Three: Heretic Mage

Buy on Amazon

Callum is at war with the Guild of Arcane Regulation, the organization that governs mages on Earth.  He’s spent most of his time lying low and hiding out, trying to understand what he can do and how he can remain free from their meddling.  What he’s learned is that he can’t.

It’s time to move from reaction to action, and take on GAR and its evils directly.

Paranoid Mage is an urban fantasy but it goes rather sideways from the normal stuff fairly quickly.

Chapters are Fridays, 5PM EST, with approximately 5,000 words per chapter.

The royal bastard of House Vasquer, Argrave, changed after his stay studying magic at the Tower of the Gray Owl. The sickly man's awkward posture and cruel behavior have been replaced with a neat dignity and acerbic wit. Though once listless, he now strives towards his goals with a life-or-death tenacity. Most come away thinking he seems to know too many details about too much. Few can claim to know his motives or his goals.

Yet behind that confident appearance, the primary contributor for an open-world RPG's wiki battles existential dread and things far beyond his ken as he struggles to adapt to a grim, gothic fantasy world mirroring his favorite game. The prospect of fighting against a world-ending calamity loses all of its appeal when it transitions from entertainment to reality. Argrave is spurred towards unwanted heroism to preserve his life as he struggles desperately to keep this sinking ship afloat.

Trickster’s Song [A LitRPG (...)

After a drunken college ritual goes very wrong (or very right), Robin wakes up, naked, in a world of dark priests, angry kobolds, and Lost Gods. The priest wants to crush his will. The kobolds want to catch and eat him. The Lost God, well, it's not yet clear exactly what he wants. None of them care what Robin wants.

Robin would like to explore this new world without all the messy complications, thanks. He finally has a bit of real magic at his fingertips, but the monsters on every side won't let him relax long enough to enjoy it! The only tools he has to survive are his wits, the strange messages that keep flashing before his eyes, and a newly-discovered talent for illusions. It’s nothing game-breaking…or is it?

*** *** ***

This fiction features a bi male protagonist (think Kinsey 5 level).

Robin will progress through various levels of power at a steady pace. Progression will be at a moderate pace. The rise to power is far from meteoric.

Trickster's Song will update on Mondays and Thursdays each week. Expect Updates to usually post between 16.30 and 17.00 GMT (London Time)

If you would like to help increase the posting rate to 3, 4, or even 5 times per week for everyone, or if you'd like to read ahead on your own, check out our Patreon:

Blood Shaper

Blood Shaper

Kay didn't have the best life. Most of it was fairly standard, but his past was marred by a tragedy that changed his entire world. Years later he had managed to mostly rebuild his life, and had started making something of himself.

And then he woke up in a different world. A world of fantasy and [Classes], a world much more dangerous than the one he'd been born in.

The new world he's been dumped into doesn't hold anyone's hand. Even with the bonuses that being an Outworlder brings won't keep him perfectly safe. One mistake could kill him in an instant.

But maybe, with a little bit of help, he could start over once more, and start to make something of himself again. And maybe, just maybe, that something he makes himself into could be amazing. And bloody.

As I'm leaning right now there probably will be sexual content later on, but I might change my mind later. There definitely will be death, gore, violence, and blood. Lots and lots of blood.
I changed my mind. No adult stuff in this story.

Mark of the Fool

Mark of the Fool
by J.M. Clarke (U Juggernaut)
3.3k pages

Hello, folks, just to tell ya, chapters 8 to 75 have been published on Kindle and Audible. The audiobook is narrated by Travis Baldree!

After his parents died, Alex Roth had a plan: become a wizard. Through hard work, he was accepted into the world’s greatest university of wizardry—but fate had another plan.

On his eighteenth, he is marked as one of his kingdom’s five Heroes, chosen to fight the land’s great enemy. But his brand is 'The Fool', worst of the marks.

Rather than die or serve the other Heroes like Fools in the past, he packs up his little sister, his childhood friend and her cerberus, then flees for the university in hope of refuge, magic and to unravel the truth about his land’s evil.

There’s one small problem: The Mark tries to ruin magic while enhancing skills outside of divinity, combat and spellcraft.…

…that is, unless he can learn to exploit the hell out of it.

Chapters will be roughly 2000-2500 words.

Rating: This story is kind of like a PG-13 movie. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you.

Tone: Tone will be a mix of some action-adventure with excitement, comedy, slice of life elements and mystery. I won't be going too dark with this story. There will be mentions of war, some death, grief and violence.

MC: MC is analytical/rational with emotions. He is mostly in control of those emotions. MC will progress in power, eventually becoming very strong. Strong Lead tag added.

Fights: Fights will be detailed.

Stuff this story won't have:

- Extreme grimdark content

- Murderhobo plots

- Edgy, anti-hero MC

- Pacifist MC

- Harems
