This story is a rewrite that shows very clear improvements over the first draft!

The story starts off very strong in the middle of an urgent situation. It begins from the perspective of a powerful entity outside of human comprehension. It's not entirely clear what it's purpose is beyond delivering a message.  We don't immediately learn what that message is, leaving us in suspense.

Style score 5/5: Awakening: Hunter's Gambit has a great evocative writing style. It's very strong in conveying the high levels of emotion in the situation. The words are very description and I especially enjoyed the skin-crawling effect of the scene at the beginning when Astral is covered in ooze. Ick!

Story score 5/5: the story is well-written with an excellent premise, a world-shattering event to complete the cycle. It implies that a battle between heaven and hell spans across several dimensions.

Grammar score 5/5:  the grammar is excellent, with absolutely no errors that detract from my immersion. I also enjoy the author's writing style.

Character score 5/5: we get the impression Astral strong-willed and intelligent from the moment she's introduced. All of the characters are distinct and memorable with unique personalities of their own.

Anyone who enjoys reading stories with high-stakes and descriptive writing will love Awakening: Hunter's Gambit. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great action scenes! ❤️
