Humanity is extinct.

In their wake, they left behind powerful artifacts and wonderous relics, most of which are still yet to be discovered.

Alien life flourishes in the ruins of ancient human cities. Hundreds of distinct species and cultures. But they all worship the "Old Ones" as gods, for who else could have created these impossible devices: ships that can fly, droids that can think, and gates that form bridges between worlds.

One power-hungry Empire has learned to use these gifts to conquer and dominate all other alien cultures. With each passing day, they grind the people of Gaiam deeper under the bootheel of oppression.

But when an old, jaded thief stumbles upon an ancient, living secret... a new revolution may be at hand.

This is the story of The Last Human.

This is the story of a woman named Riza.

Riza wakes up in a forest all alone, no idea how she got there, naked, and with a knife stuck in her side.

After a brief tangle with a boar, she levels up and gains a skill that can heal her wounds.

Little does she know that this branch of magic is not only outlawed across the land but is considered a dead-end one as well.

Not that any of that matters to her; she can't even understand the language in the first place.

Riza is not some chosen one nor is she given any special gifts undeservedly. Instead, she's mathematically, scientifically minded and approaches things from a rigorous perspective.

Although numbers play a large part, she doesn't just grow numerically; she uses ingenuity and knowledge to better deal with her struggles and grow stronger.

I have ADHD so there's bound to be maths mistakes that I miss. If you see one, please leave a comment so I can correct it.

This is also, essentially, a first draft. That means I will edit older chapters, changing details, adding things in, altering the numbers, etc.

Heavily edited and rewritten version of Ortus (Old Version)

Eyes of the Asura: A Superhero GameLit

Eyes of the Asura: A (...)
by Quill Moniker
241 pages

The world changed forever when supers emerged. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime flew through the skies for the first time, and scholars still debate the origin of power.

Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the Hero League's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years waiting to awaken a metagene, but it hasn't happened yet. The cut-off age is rapidly approaching, and he's losing hope. The last thing Daniel wants is to become another statistic.

Meanwhile, the league is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. If that weren't bad enough, something deep inside Daniel has awoken, it demands he step up, do good and protect the people he loves. He doesn't know the source of the compulsion, but it's getting stronger by the day and he's desperate to feed it.

Daniel dreams to join the league. It needs all the assistance it can get, and only they can help satiate his hunger.

The story contains body-horror elements due to how the protagonist's power manifests.
The GameLit/Progression elements are gradual, and there are no stats in this story. The protagonist will enjoy occasional power upgrades as opposed to rapid growth like in other RR stories.
The story doesn't have any intended tragic elements but its a harsh reality and will sometimes edge towards the darker end of the spectrum.

James lives his life with his head in the clouds. He's just getting by in college and working a job that allows him to day dream. He's pretty comfortable spending his days dreaming of fighting bad guys and saving damsels.

That is until he is surprised on the way home from work by a letter floating before his eyes with a blinking green message attached [New message. Accept? [Y/N]] This letter offers him the inheritance of the [Dreamer] class and warns of an impending world wide change. Soon James is thrown into a new reality of skills, levels, classes, professions, and EXP. But he seems to be the only one experiencing this change. But for some reason he doesn't think that'll last very long.

This story is one of my first attempts at posting my stories anywhere so please leave comments and constructive criticism/praise. I'd really love it if there was a group of people who enjoyed it and if there is I'll figure out a regular release schedule.

Totally my story and I reserve rights to it and such forth.

Rise of the Weakest Summoner

Rise of the Weakest Summoner
by Saileri
331 pages

One fateful day, a caravan was passing by the village of Teira, which has been raided and set ablaze by bandits. Within the burning rubble, a young woman found a baby, a sole survivor of the attack, and decided to take it with her and raise as her own. As she was leaving with the little child in her hands, two falling stars lit up the night sky, and she named the boy Asterios.

Years passed and he grew up in a caring and warm home, developing a passion for all magical beasts, choosing the path of a Summoner as his way of life. While his love and knowledge also grew boundless, his practical abilities clearly pointed out his complete lack of compatibility with that school of magic, but he never wavered in his resolution.

Follow Asterios as his life of perpetual failure and bullying suddenly takes an unexpected turn, after just seconds short of his death, a powerful summon answers his call and saves his life. Wait... doesn't it look like... A GIRL?! Are those animal ears and tail?!

Release schedule: Can't guarantee a stable schedule, my other novel still takes priority and I'm currently on last year of my Master's, but at least once or twice a week.

What to expect:
A quite chill fantasy adventure with an MC devoted to summoning magic and fantasy beasts, slowly getting rid of his title of the Weakest Summoner (sudden strength gain but with progressive development), lots of exploring, magic, encounters, lots of character development, quite some fluff and feel-goods and perhaps a nice harem of lovely Monster Girls! And maybe, some occasional lewds from time to time when it fits the moment. It's a light story and not some deep masterpiece.

The Edge of Endless

The Edge of Endless
by FinalFloorBoss
227 pages

Due to some unforseen and significant life events, this story will be on hiatus for a time.

Reborn into a strange but familiar world, Alex makes it his mission to uncover the mysteries of governments, gods, and the arcane realm known only (and inaccurately) as the Unending Depths. Slowly but surely, he grows in ability and meets new and interesting people.

tEoE is an epic fantasy LitRPG with a focus on plot, writing, and hopefully original twists on the standard formula of 'MC picks cool class, levels up'. Give it a read if any of the following appeals to you:

> 3000-5000 words per chapter, chapters released at least once per week, usually several times. Expect good grammar.

> Story focus on illusions, secrets, and traps (along with the usual combat and character stuff).

> Progression fantasy, but one where progress is meant to feel earned, moderately paced, and reasonable. Some advantages, but not big, unfair ones.

> If a random reader can work out that putting a big rock in a bag of holding, lifting it, and then dropping the rock is free energy, then so could an adventurer who's owned a bag of holding for twenty years. Side characters have brains too.

> Blue boxes! Levels! [Classes]! [Skills]! Loot!

> No uncomfortable sexist undertones. Ambivalent about including relationships. Definitely no harems.

There are a number of arcs planned and this will be ongoing for some time. I am very appreciative of the kind reviews and comments left so far.

A Herald for Spirits

A Herald for Spirits
by TeaTimeSkeleton
899 pages

While on Earth, the Church secretly battles over the planet's destiny with multiple other factions; Gabriel was just delivering pizzas when he ended up in a battle among creatures that defied logic.

Sure, he thought, who doesn't love pizza? But do angels, demons, and big ass wolves eat pizza as well?

Gabriel was paid for his delivery, but the payment he got wasn't exactly what he hoped for, because for all his efforts, the man was rewarded with a lizard... and a world expecting a little too much from him than he was comfortable with.

Gabe will find himself in a different world, a world from which all Earth's current problems stem and a world to which he has more ties than he was ever told.

Will Gabriel and his lizard survive in a world so hell-bent on getting them to follow its rules, or will they die defying them? Follow their adventures on Alter, where elves, dwarves, orcs, and many more races share their existence with those of Spirits. Whether they like it or not.

Chapter release is 1 chapter a day, from Monday to Friday.

Release time 09:00 PM UTC

This series is being posted on Scribblehub as well.

ATTENTION, This story starts slowly. If you are not in for a low ramp-up in tensions and want all of the secrets of the world right away, this story is not for you.

With this story, I wanted to write something that felt at least probable, not the usual: man appears in a new world, everyone helps him, and he's fit and ready for the job!

Gabriel will need time to adapt to his new reality, as you'll definitely notice in the first chapters. However, when the action hits, it hits hard.

Something to know about me? I'm Italian. Thus, English is not my main language. If you find errors, please point them out before berating me. It would help me greatly.

What else? Oh, right.

I love foreshadowing and Chekhov's guns (it should be clear by my avatar, I'm a One Piece lover, so I've learned from the best); you'll find a lot of those in my novels. So keep your notes to check for them, and don't forget to eat as much pizza as you can while you do!

The Primordial Tower

The Primordial Tower
by Daoist Enigma
123 pages

[Note: The Eternal Lion is NOT the protagonist of the story.]

The Eternal Lion, Conqueror of the 98th floor, Paragon of Destruction watched in horror as his companions were slain, one by one, by "that" existence. Humanity had made a fundamental mistake from the beginning, for this was no fair trial.

His rage knew no bounds, but alas it was to no avail. The only reason he still drew breath was because of 'that' existences' twisted desire to make him watch as it slowly killed the last of his loyal companions.

He only saw one final glimmer of hope to overturn this accursed outcome, which lay in the reward for completing the hidden piece on the 98th floor.

[The Inheritance]

Allow your knowledge and experience to flow back in the river of time, back to the beginning of the Primordial Tower's awakening on Earth. Entrust the fate of humanity to one of your kind.

Cost of Activation: Erasure of existence from the river of time.

To think that all his efforts would only lead to becoming a stepping stone for another. With a final roar in defiance, he activated the skill.

"Let the roar of the eternal lion tear through the boundaries of time"

Cover credits: I have the best cover, it was drawn by my 12 year old sister on procreate by hand.
