    1. Just realized my story is (somewhat) on Rising Stars

You have to filter by Sci-Fi, and it's very low, but it's there! I was wondering why it seemed like I was getting more views than normal (not that it's a lot of views, but better than usual).  Never thought (...)

    2. Re: Believable character interaction: Commanding officer and the new officer

OP, you can write whatever story you want. Just don't come asking for advice and getting hostile at people trying to give you advice and creating strawman arguments for the sake of arguing. I wish you (...)

    3. Re: Believable character interaction: Commanding officer and the new officer

From reading your replies to the other comments here, it sounds like you've already kind of made up your mind on what you want to happen, so I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for with this post. (...)

    4. Re: 50k words!

Congratulations! Here's to another 50k!  :DrakanWine:

    5. Re: Time.

I've been writing my story for about 8 or 9 years now, with many different periods of inactivity. It all started because of this game called Roblox, and one of the clans/groups there called The Vaktovian (...)

    6. Re: What is your top 5 favorite classics

I don't know about the rest, but The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my all-time favorite books. It's definitely long and daunting, but it's a masterclass in subplots and linking every story element together. (...)

    7. Re: Want a free (semi)promotion for your story?!

I mean, I'm not one to turn down free promotion. I'd appreciate it if you include Flight of the Cosmic Phoenix.

    8. Re: 500+ view with 32000+ words, but still without review? HELP!

Congratulations on 500 views! A lot of readers (read: almost all) simply will read the story without ever interacting with you (whether that's through comments or reviews or even ratings). So, you can't (...)

    9. Re: 🎵 a song/poem has officially hit rising stars!!! 🎵

Congratulations, no one deserves it more than you! Your poems never fail to bring a smile to my face!

    10. Re: Feedback on the Prologue

Well, without seeing your prologue, or knowing specifically what the problem is, I will offer this.  I hereby cast ONE VOTE for short prologues. If you can't write your prologue using about half the (...)

    11. Re: Epic of a Dragonknight: Q&A

Or ya know, wait until the ending of the story, and give your readers a Final Exam.    Is it an open book/notes final exam?

    12. Re: That feeling when you're 1500 words in and you accidentally refresh the page

Press "F5" to pay respect  :DrakanThink: Now that's a low blow

    13. Re: That feeling when you're 1500 words in and you accidentally refresh the page

That's a big oof. I always write in scrivener or word, got that autosave going just in case and always hitting crtl-s as a precaution every few minutes. At least now you can rewrite it and make it better (...)

    14. Re: Wrote 4000 words today to finally finish Book 1 and start Book 2

Good, and to get things started. You must write 50,000 words in two days. 🐕 Ha. Hahahahaha. Nah. Oh, wow, congrats! That's amazing! Thank you!

    15. Wrote 4000 words today to finally finish Book 1 and start Book 2

Most words I've written in a day in a long time, and it felt nice to just have the time to sit around and finally get it done after being so close for so long. Overall, it's coming in right around 120k (...)

    16. Re: 100 Views and 1 Follower...

A start's a start! Congratulations, and I'm sure they'll be many more to come! :DrakanWine:

    17. Re: Thought I’d recently surpassed 100,000 words

Technically you did pass 100,000, just twice instead of once. Congratulations!

    18. Re: 30,000 views

Congratulations! Here's to many more!  :DrakanWine:

    19. Re: My first chapter's up!

That's awesome! Don't forget you can include a link in your signature on the forums to try to get a little more attention thrown its way. I wish the best of luck to you on your writing journey!
