In a world where all magical spells have been captured into cards, those who can build a deck have the most power.

The most Arthur could ever hope for was to someday earn a trash-tier spell card. When fate grants him a legendary Master of Skills card, he's thrust into a world of opportunity and danger.

To survive and grow strong, Arthur must learn skills. All the skills. 

Sometimes, when you wake up, you don’t find yourself in a house that you most definitely have never been in. Sometimes, mornings don’t start with something going down in flames. Sometimes, you are not given only six days until you die. But then again, it would be a completely different story.

Seven people find themselves on an island full of odd creatures and places. This motley crew is given a deadline: unless they find a way out to escape their fates, they will die, one person a day.

Each chapter encompasses a day, from Monday to Saturday. Release schedule is twice a week: Tuesday and Saturday. There are six chapters altogether, ending with Saturday. There’s no Sunday.

The protagonist of the story finds himself in the depths of a labyrinth without any memory of arriving at that place. There he meets his classmates but - if anything, it only complicates an already strange situation. A book, a clown, a doll – all of his classmates became something entirely different, they ceased to be the humans they once were. The protagonist will embark on a dangerous journey, which will completely change him in more ways than one.

The royal bastard of House Vasquer, Argrave, changed after his stay studying magic at the Tower of the Gray Owl. The sickly man's awkward posture and cruel behavior have been replaced with a neat dignity and acerbic wit. Though once listless, he now strives towards his goals with a life-or-death tenacity. Most come away thinking he seems to know too many details about too much. Few can claim to know his motives or his goals. 

Yet behind that confident appearance, the primary contributor for an open-world RPG's wiki battles existential dread and things far beyond his ken as he struggles to adapt to a grim, gothic fantasy world mirroring his favorite game. The prospect of fighting against a world-ending calamity loses all of its appeal when it transitions from entertainment to reality. Argrave is spurred towards unwanted heroism to preserve his life as he struggles desperately to keep this sinking ship afloat.

Longing for his former life of peace and understanding, he allows authorities to capture him on the spot, only to be faced with deeply personal questions, such as "who are you?" "what have you been doing for the past 10 years?" and "why is your level so high?"

Author’s note:
-It can get very GORY. I’m somewhat desensitized to gore and violence. So while the story isn’t full of gore for the sake of gore, it can get a little too descriptive.
-The MC is a necromancer, so corpses and decay, and all the things that come with it, will be mentioned from time to time.
-I’m a huge fan of Egyptian, Slavic, and Greek mythology, so expect quite a bit of that. That said, so much is altered, you’ll be hard-pressed to guess how exactly it is being used.
-Despite being ‘immortal’ the MC can die. In the event he does, the story doesn’t end, simply time skips forward. Which in some cases is going to be worse than just dying.
-I love plot twists, as much as I love red herrings and Chekhov guns. Deus Ex Machina’s not so much.
