    1. What is your process for making your book titles?

How do you come up with your book titles? Do you have a process? When do you come up with a title? (First draft, waiting until you publish?) I want to know about how you come up with such things. (...)

    2. Re: Does cursing limit your potential audience on RR or does it not make a difference?

swearing can turn potential readers off for many reasons, but thats why RR has a tag, so it can be filtered out. I have never seen anyone really complain about profanity in and of itself, more about poor (...)

    3. Re: New to serialized fiction; it looks legit!

Welcome to RoyalRoad! I hope you find many stories to read and have fun writing yourself. :)  It’s so nice to be able to share your creations with the world.

    4. Character Vs Setting Book blurb

I’ve been thinking about this the last couple days, so tell me, what do you prefer, character driven book blurbs or setting driven ones? Here’s what I mean: A character driven blurb is like this: (...)

    5. Re: That small detail in your world.

There's a planet in Novu Sol called Rome! It's the planet best known for how Earth Basil adapted capsaicin in order to survive the local fauna trying to eat it. Roman Basil is a very popular herb and is (...)

    6. Re: Names.

The Admiral- Her true name and what she wants to be called. Its the rank she reached before defecting and stealing a warship. Her 'actual' name is Loretta Desson and I just needed a name that didn't (...)

    7. Re: First review!

congrats on that first review, may you gain many more positive ones!

    9. Re: New Writer, Hello!

Your story idea sounds interesting! Welcome to RR and I hope you enjoy your time here and have fun writing.

    10. Re: 25 5stars, 100K published and 150 followers. I seem to have hit a milestone.

:DrakanWine: Congrats! Love to see those numbers climb!

    11. Re: How deep does your worldbuilding go?

I'm just wondering for no particular reason. I also want to ask for some advice. Is it too much worldbuilding to create at least three fake languages and cultures when barely even ten percent of that (...)

    12. Re: Your Book of the Year

Welllllllllllll-- i haven't really read much published this year. This a freeform post! Whatever you read this year no matter how old or new! Just whichever was your favorite

    13. Your Book of the Year

With the end of the year fast approaching, I want to hear it. I want to hear about it. The new book you loved. The one you added to the prized spot on your bookshelf. The one that kept you thinking or (...)

    14. Re: The Syndicate sends its regards~

Welcome to RR! Hope you enjoy your time here and your story does well. I do know the feeling of being busy and being a writer, it’s hard so just do as want and enjoy it!

    15. Re: Out of your characters, do you have a favorite?

*Dusts off MC, proudly presents her* My MC is my baby, and she is my favorite, but I love pretty much all my characters.

    16. Re: A New Challenger Approaches

Welcome to RR! Hope your story does well and you enjoy your time here. As for scheduling, best advice I got was to sort of randomize the time of day of your uploads for a few releases so different time (...)

    17. Spacescapes for Days (Image Heavy)

I love making spacescapes. They are a ton of fun (and one of the reasons I became a graphic designer as a career) so here, have a few: https://i.imgur.com/JI2jdC4.png https://i.imgur.com/2t7lQ92.png (...)

Welcome to RR! I hope your novel does well and you enjoy your time here.

    19. Re: Using emboldenment to signify shouting/raised voice?

It depends on the frequency you use it. If you put an entire page of rage rant in bold just because the character is yelling, it will look strange and be taxing to read. "I hate you!" He yelled. (...)

    20. Re: Don't you hate it when

What a mood. I have this character idea, I want to introduce them but even being the eager beaver I am, he can’t come into the story until the next book.
