Thaddius returns to find the Carnival in shambles. Samphire is missing and has given him instructions to take all those who remain into hiding.

Pursued by the Automatrons of Bismuth and sent to who knows where by the God of Mischief. Tad must gather his friends and find safety. They head into the wilderness to make a new home they can defend.

This Arc is the second in the Thaddius Rockgrip chronicles.

In this book, the people become aware of the system. The system isn't a game. It's the rules for the universal operating system that all things work inside.

Note:

You do not need to read the first book in the series to read this book.

I will be editing several chapters in Demon Fortress after Dec 5th writathon is over.

Book Type:

I'm uncertain how to define this, somewhere between The Matrix and litrpg and a progression world builder.

Writathon:

Hey, I made it in!!

It is a rough draft.

Thank you for reading and commenting.

What do a broken automatron, a succubus stuck in a genie bottle, and a drunk unicorn have in common?

Samphire's Magic Carnival – come one, come all, see feats of magic and creatures of legend!

Thaddius sets out to save his adoptive father. He was sent alone through a portal to find and save him. Now he finds himself trapped in a Duke of Hell's fortress where his magic and soul will be sucked from his body. Who would have thought some kid from the Carnival would end up here?

From zero to hero if he can live through it.

The Trickster's Tale 2: Gnomes Don't Rule!

Be careful when demanding reparations from gods. They rarely own up to their mistakes.

Due to a goddess's shortsighted error, Perry finds himself transported to a distant Universe with new proportions and a different identity. Instead of cowering before the deity, he demands she opens a portal home or provides reparations for him and his bereaved family. Unfortunately, standing up for himself doesn't earn Perry respect. Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential.

Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will.

Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world.

And so begins, the bard's ballad.

Posting 5 times a week from Monday to Friday!

Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.

This story is co-authored by J Pal.
He originally wrote it as The Halfwit Halfling but got tired of number-heavy LitRPGs.
I've taken over the story-boarding and the tale uses names/locations from the old story but not the same plot progression.
I dropped the prison break theme and have given the book a proper villain (a goblin shaman). As a result, the story shouldn't be mistaken as a slice of life despite the protagonist's combat limitations.
Perry uses wit to overcome challenges instead of brawn or arcana.

Two releases a week [Hiatus in november due to NaNoWriMo]

[Changed the Summary based on reader feedback. Thanks guys!]

When Mitchel gets a birthday gift from his girlfriend Sandra - a pre-order version of the newest VR game, he is thrilled. Real-life graphics, full-body senses, and a mysterious world that nobody knows anything about seem like a great way to escape real-life for a few months or longer.

Two days later, his dreams of a pleasant pastime are shattered. After meeting a rude welcome-NPC, getting a weak starting body, and having a near-death experience, he finds himself sleeping on the ground, cold and filthy. Unable to log-out, he now has frightening dreams where the tutorial-AI is walking around in his body plotting Earth's conquest. If that isn't enough, he slowly realizes that the game might not actually be a game but that he could very well be in another world.

Can Mitchel find out what is going on and where Sandra is? Can he regain his own body, and would he still want to when all is said and done?
