    1. Re: My book is released!

Thanks guys :) Ran into a slight snag with the release, apparently an earlier draft was accidentally submitted to Amazon and they're working on fixing it. Fingers crossed that it doesn't hurt it too much. (...)

    2. Re: My book is released!

Oh damn, that's so so exciting!! Congratulations!!!! Thanks Alexa! Feels like I've had a car battery hooked up to my heart since I woke up :P

    3. My book is released!

Immortality.Upload is now up for sale on Amazon! Took 2 years, but it's finally out and I'm having a mini-meltdown... in a good way :) Bad news is I had to remove 90% of it from here to do so, but the (...)

    4. Re: I want to thank RoyalRoad for this amazing thing that happened

Congradolences and welcome to the club! :DrakanWine:

    5. Re: What would your fiction's title be if it was a japanese light novel?

"That time I wanted to find my parents so everyone wanted me dead." That was fun to think about, thanks :)

    6. Re: I Have YouTube Channel That Does Web Novel Reviews, Is Any Interested

Would love to see a video review of immortality.upload if your still looking for more to review :)

    7. Re: Val is Guessing These Stats Are Far From Normal Given the View Count.

I know it's not the formula used, but isn't the view count mostly by chapter not by amount of pages? so 115 x 255 = 29,325...seems fairly close

    8. Re: What's a word that you completely overuse?

I was surprised to notice I used "So," to start off so many characters dialogues. Like an embarrassing amount of times, went back and deleted about 99% of 'em.

    9. Re: What was your last Achievement?

My last one was 50k views on May 29th, about 2 months after posting my book for the first time. I remember I was feeling like crap after getting my vaccine shot, so seeing that was a huge pick-me-up. Although (...)

    10. Re: Any advice for finished stories?

You know, there's something to be said about spite being a motivator. Take a look at that lizard brain of yours that's bringing you down. It's every negative thing you have ever experienced rolled into (...)

    11. Re: What do you think of when coming up with a story first, the beginning or the ending?

I always think of the world first. What's unique about it, and what challenges would be introduced due to that uniqueness. Frankly I probably have too many stored in my head just waiting for use now. (...)

    12. Re: 20 Chapters down! Let's go!

      Congratz on both! :DrakanWine:

    13. Re: What would be the weirdest place for a fight scene/action scene

The Moon Chocolate Factory (Willy Wonka's notwithstanding) An Apiary Puppy only kennel Haunted House (not against the ghosts, rather two people trying to fight each other while poltergeists are messing (...)

    14. Re: Val Has Another Curious Question That Has Been Killing Him, it is About Isekai.

I'm curious if anyone would consider my book an isekai or not.  The players have digital clones created inside the game world and live out their entire lives in there. The players and clones sync (...)

    16. Re: Royal Road's First DIAMOND artist....

Congratz! You should draw something to commemorate the occasion :P

    17. Re: "Show, don't tell." One rule to ring them all.

My favorite is actually from a movie, Pirates of the Caribbean. That scene where Jack Sparrow is talking to the two soldiers guarding the ship he wants to steal, and they just bombard you with relevant (...)

    18. Re: Comparing stats

Honestly, a lot of it is to do with sentence structure, flow and style. My first book (especially at the beginning) is a lot rougher in my opinion, just because it is the first thing I ever wrote properly (...)

    19. Re: Has anyone else ever used their experiences in work as inspiration for hatable characters?

I work in IT, so I have my share of horror stories, but yeah there is one woman who I despise. I have a character named Norma Dagget in my story that I have based on someone who works in upper management (...)

    20. Re: Prompt: Make watching grass grow/paint dry fun to read.

My Master does not settle for half-measures in her training methods. "I'm to do what?" I ask, not quite believing what she just said. "Since you're a new apprentice," my Master says, a hard look (...)
