Re: How would you make someone hate humanity (without Videogames)
Selfishness at the expense of others, treating other people as lesser, out of either bigotry or self-importance. These are the root cause of some of the worst evils humanity has committed.

Re: Does creative writing help you sleep better?
Yes and no. When I’m in the zone I’ll write in bed in the dark until I pass out, but for some reason writing in bed makes me get super tired super early.

Re: What program do you use to write?
I started out just using the notes app on my phone, but then I lost 2/3 of my longest writing project at the time, and I switched to docs because it has an undo button. Which, after my tragic loss, was (...)

Re: What are your favourite chapters that you have written?
I have two answers, one for fanfic and one for original work. First has got to be the second to last chapter of my FMAB fic And They Were ROOMMATES. I have a lovely bait and switch where it looks like (...)

Re: What are your favorite lines from your books?
One that will make the final cut, but that really only has an impact in context: “I miss the blue.” “It was a very pretty blue.” I shook off my sudden melancholy. No use in wallowing about what (...)

Re: Beta Readers?
I’d prefer not to post my work publicly until it is finished. The questionnaire was recommended to me during my research on beta-readers.
-
Re: Beta Readers?
Sorry I was unclear, the work is finished (aside from the post-beta edit) and my beta readers usually contact me through emails.

Re: What things that make you quit reading a novel after serveral chapters?
This is mainly a problem with books I pick up from conventions and not anything traditionally published but SHUT UP about the female characters’ boobs oh my god we get it, the author is a man just shut (...)

Re: Beta Readers?
I’m looking for beta readers for my Urban Fantasy story, it’s currently about 44K words (18 chapters) and contains strong language and brief instances of violence. I’ll send a questionnaire to fill out (...)

Thanks so much! ^u^

Re: A question about posting my work
I’ve come across several forum posts that mention that your work, once you submit it, must be approved or meet certain criteria before it will be posted on RR. What is this criteria and how can I know (...)

Re: Webnovels
That’s a good point. I myself have never gotten feedback like that on my serialized work, but I’ve been using different sites to post on. I feel like most readers who really care about the story are willing (...)

Re: What are your favorite lines from your books?
A short one but a good one, unfortunately it probably will not make the final draft but I love it a lot “His face said ‘what the f***’ more clearly than words ever could.”

Re: Intro Post
Hey, I’m Muse. I’m in the middle of editing my first novel (anyone wanna beta read?). I’m really enjoying finding forums full of other writers to talk to.

Re: Writing difficulties for different authors.
I have the opposite problem. I am struggling to get my manuscript up to 50K without adding in filler. I could never even meet the wordcount in my academic papers. I just can’t think of anything else that (...)

Re: What is the most unique aspect of the world's created in your fiction?
I’d say the most unique thing about my story’s world is that resurrection is impossible UNLESS you’ve sold your soul to a demon or an angel. It’s having that kind of deal that allows you to come back to (...)

Re: Best and Worst Movie/TV Adaptations of Books/Comics/Etc, Go!
I agree that The Last Airbender and the Percy Jackson movie are the worst adaptions. As for the best, does FMAB count since it’s an adaption of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga? I can’t think of a single (...)

Re: Good or Evil
Good: I always finish my stories before I start posting them to be sure I never leave anyone indefinitely hanging. Bad: One time in high school a girl followed me in the cafeteria and inserted (...)
-
Re: Why did you choose your username?
Muse I got from a webcomic that shall not be named, after a character I both loved and related to (and who is thematically appropriate to writing for several reasons) and Turbulent because of my love of (...)

Re: Writing Rituals
I used to only ever write in complete darkness, and still end up doing that a lot. It’s just easier to get into the story when the outside world is out of sight and out of mind.
