On the first day, he almost died.

On the second day, he almost died.

On the third, he began to notice a worrying trend. And almost died.

Crushing loneliness? Danger around every corner? All of that has become part of his daily routine.

That's fine. He'll carve out a place in this world with his bare hands if necessary. He'll survive, and then he'll thrive.

Whether anyone wants him to or not.

This Isekai Adventure Is All Wrong

This Isekai Adventure (...)

In the village of Ibusa (ee. gboo. zor), strange things happen when it rains, it is simply an aspect of life that its denizens have adapted to since long ago. However, finding a gravely wounded boy who seems to have fallen from the sky, after a heavy rain one afternoon, might just be a little too strange.

The main focus of this story is slice of life, for the first half or so. And I guess maybe comedy.

Is there an overarching plotline? Yes. Definitely.

Do I, the author, know what it is? Probably.

Will there be action? Eventually.

See, the thing is, if you're the kind of person who only enjoys stories where the MC is the badassest mofo in town, or where he/she always has to beat some progressively stronger bad guy every arc, then this likely isn't for you.

On the other hand, if you're the kind of person who can simply kick back and enjoy a story simply to see where it leads, then please, hop right in, because as the title says, this isekai adventure is all wrong, therefore whatever preconceptions you have about isekai fantasy would be best left at the door as you come in.

Thank you, and I hope those of you who decide to give this a try like it.

Since keeping to a schedule seems next to impossible for me, just know that I do my utmost to post five chapters every week.

The World's Number 1 Most Wanted Thief, the Black Cobra, an Egyptian youth specialized in ancient artifacts, was killed in an explosion he set up after being chased into a dead end in New York. Around his middle finger which he pointed at the face of every chaser from every world superpower, he carried the most prized item in the world, the Ring of Horus.

When he kicked off life with a Bang! He returned with a lot of barf and vomit as poison was being cleansed of his body and a series of messages kept popping up. Long story short, he reincarnated into the body of Leon, an antagonist from a game he used to play and supposedly one who should already be dead. However, the Hunt for his Life never ended and he became the most wanted after reincarnation overnight. And there is System and Magic and Harem and Overpowered Oversmart Overcharismatic Hero who believes in gender equality and human's right to stay silent when he stabs them… good stuff, turly!

Until now.

This story will focus on the first few years after the first AI being born. We will see, from different perspectives, it growing up, and what adversaries it will face

Fair warning:

Slow pacing, bad language, way too many commas, and several mentions of France.

Argus was a dungeon, sprawling for miles under the cities of man above all the way until a human, angry at the death of one of his companions, murdered him.

When he discovered where he was, he found that he had come back to life as nothing more or less than a human being, complete with its own nervous system, organs, and brain. Worst of all, his precious System is gone, and he has to actually grow up.

How disgusting.

The gods loved to play their games.
Raising heroes to go on their grand quests.
Defeating demons, uncovering relics, dealing with some new turmoil or another.

However, for Asteruse, a simple helper in a simple village, these epic adventures were too far removed for him to consider them as anything more than tales told in stories.
All he wanted in life? To be with his friends, his family, and his love, Elize. So long as he could keep these things close to him he could let others go on their quests and risk their lives.
All that wasn't for him.

But the gods loved to play their games

The Eldritch Horror Returns to Earth, but Things are a Bit Different

The Eldritch Horror Returns (...)

One day, Adam B. Windsley was in this world, and then, he wasn't. Suddenly trasported into a strange world called Lutum, Adam finds himself in the body of a small, unassuming slug, and during the course of 600 years, he evolved beyond the scope of humans, becoming one of the Five Evil Gods, worshipped by his followers and treated as a God would. But he isn't happy. And after some time reaquainting himself with humans, he finds himself enjoying their company. But, in a sudden twist of events, he finds himself back in his own world.

But he is still a giant tentacle-covered monstoristy.

And where did these magical girls come from?...

In short, this is a story focusing on a somewhat edgy reincarnated-as-a-monster kind of guy who returned back to his world on the day of his transferral, only for strange, unusual things to happen. Monsters from his past world start popping up out of the blue, and ordinary people are suddenly learning of sorcery, becoming magical girls in the process.

In terms of structure, it will mostly be about what happens to Adam after coming back, but at times, there will also be chapters focusing on Adam's life before his transferred, in chronological order. In other words, very typical isekai stuff.

The chapters will be between 2000 and god-only-knows-how-many words and will be released every three days at 8 am, CST. I don't actually live in America so if chapter release is off by an hour or so, it's probably either because I messed up with the time, or because I was unable to finish a chapter on time-,

The artwork on the cover belongs to yours truly, I drew it myself and I'm darn tootin' proud of it, and Omni is my dear co-writer who got me this far. Couldn't do it without him!

With that said, I do hope you enjoy, as I did put way too much effort into it...

Dungeon: A place full of monsters, traps, treasure, and death. Those are the Great Dungeons, with unplumbed depths below the roots of the mountains.

That's not for me.

Dungeon: A place of rape, torture, and death, to control and corral enemies and slaves. These are the Red Cores, from which the mage-kings draw their power.

That's also not for me.

I don't like monsters. I don't want adventurers. I want to stay well away from enemies and slaves.

Fortunately, there are alternatives...

"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?)

How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends.

That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway.

Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.
