    1. Re: Cute things.

Perfect thread, wanted to show the penguin guild this.  https://i.ibb.co/FzpNBm2/5-J39-D8bqv8-YOKA-e3-Vo-Ay6f-UDurta0-ZJNPXy-Jg-Jbg-V4.png

    2. Re: How do you create your stories?

Short answer: Hatred.  Long Answer: I get certain scenes/concepts in my head and I try to build a story around them within existing lore. The lore has been created from years of writing and rewriting (...)

    3. Re: Is it possible to predict the success of a book?

I'm not going to pretend, the whole point of uploading a story is so people will read it, success is determined by how many people read it and how many is "enough" depends on the writer. The biggest indicator (...)

    4. Re: Writing difficulties for different authors.

How do people finish a story within 80k words or less? I mean, I've read some, and it works, but how. It's like magic.  Even if I tried to shorten a story, I'm not sure I could get it below 125k words. (...)

    5. Re: What are your favorite lines from your books?

Another player, a short Tranorei budded in chanting; “LIGHTWOOD LAMINATE, LIGHTWOOD LAMINATE” - “Ugh, not these f**s again” In no time at all, a swarm of Tranorei were at the scene, all chanting (...)

    6. Re: Creating A climax

Specifically, how to create a climax in an action oriented story that doesn't end up being either "big boss battle" or "big army battle". The secret is in the classic five act story. Introduction. (...)

    7. Re: Creating A climax

A natural disaster or human-caused disaster can be an acceptable climax for an action story.  Like, the bad guy has already been killed but he already managed to set off the dormant volcano.  Or, something (...)

    8. Re: Creating A climax

Whatever your climax happens to be is a result of whatever your overall story arc is. This also typically flows from A. What your protagonist wants, and B. Why they can't have it. It's possible that (...)

    9. Re: Creating A climax

a climax in an action oriented story that doesn't end up being either "big boss battle" or "big army battle" You only need two lovers and a private place, unless they are into exposition play. Sorry, (...)

    10. Re: Creating A climax

Specifically, how to create a climax in an action oriented story that doesn't end up being either "big boss battle" or "big army battle". I've been thinking about it and I can't figure out a climax that (...)

    11. Re: Why did you choose your username?

I used to try to self insert myself into my stories, but I never settled on which character, I stopped doing that after a while and tried to adapt an "out-of-story" pseudonym. Trouble is I had been using (...)

    12. Re: Advice on people for my story

Ah, one thing I noticed when I began reading a lot more fictions is that I literally cannot be bothered with character names spammed around by the narrator. I myself usually don't make a big deal of naming (...)

    13. Re: Poor Ratings Spree?

Well, my story isn't LGBT at all... at least I don't think so?  :peoconfused: And I still was hit in the same 'Spree'.  The only thing this did was making me think twice before I comment on any new (...)

    14. Re: How fast writer are you?

Often when I write I use a certain tone depending on the story, to get the tone I need to get into a certain mental frame, this is typically what slows me down. But if I type normally I can get maximum (...)

    15. Re: Poor Ratings Spree?

I for one do not like the review system.

    16. Re: Complete stories not tagged accordingly

I remember a few months ago asking the admins (Wing), how I could go about that, I can't remember exactly how it went but it was along the lines of "something something mods something something". Sadly (...)

    17. Re: Do writers have hobbies or are they just writing books?

So tell me, what's the difference between a cult and a religion? absolutely nothing Yeah, I coulda told you this joke would come back to bite you. Specifically, the object of worship (...)

    18. Re: Do writers have hobbies or are they just writing books?

So tell me, what's the difference between a cult and a religion? absolutely nothing Yikes, edgelord, save some internet points for the rest of us.

    19. Re: Do writers have hobbies or are they just writing books?

Most other writers I've met either IRL or Online are not super into their stories like I am, so they have lives. I however, do not, most of what I do is draw or write, i don't consider drawing a hobby (...)

    20. Re: Finally, a platform for fantasy.

Do you like isekai? There is lots of isekai, tons and tons of it,  plentiful supplies of isekai, enough isekai to sink ships, and they just keep going on and on and on and on, like they just don't stop (...)
