The Joy of Evolution

This is quite enjoyable, a budding harem, which doesn't seem to go into any wrong directions. Nice comedy reminding of "Kumo desu ga, nani ka?", if the release rate stays the same this story should quickly grow in popularity with time. All in all a great story, I am guessing the MC will soon turn into a human/humanlike and become a hero/villain.

But while this is a great story at the moment, many things are yet to open up. About the condition of the world, the heroes and villains, superpowers and mana/magic. And most importantly the MCs goal and path in all of that chaos.

Spire Dweller

Needs a while to get interesting

But at least after chapter 5 this becomes quite the adventure. The first few chapters didn't interest me that much, good that I read until chapter 5 where it really got interesting. I think this will become quite popular if the quantity and quality stay the same.

Didn't see any grammar mistakes, the style makes solo adventures a bit boring I guess, because it only got better when a companion arrived. The story has yet to build up. All we have on that front are just. Get stronger, and the towers existence, meaning something is bound to happen where they will go up the tower. The characters are this authors strong point I believe. Should get even more interesting when the MC won't be the only human anymore.

Also the summary kind of is a spoiler, because the story isn't as far, as to what the summary described, I guess this story will be somewhat of a slow burn then. I also believe there have to be some hidden stats involved, meaning luck is the MCs real cause of success. I guess there also could be a karma stat, or a charm stat. But we have yet to see if any of that is true, or just speculation on my part. Maybe we will find out in 20-40 chapters. A good thing this story also has, is the large chapter size. I have high hopes for this.

Worth the Candle

ö_Ö----> þ╬þ Ú^Ù┬ █

This fiction is underrated, it has worldbuilding, characters with real problems(maybe too many problems) and a stabile magic system in a crazy world.

While not being interesting all the time it has a good and nice storyline, while having, a 'kind of' fourth wall.

It isn't a very good story but it has good enough content to be in the top fifty list(which it is).

No probs with grammar.

While seeming like a normal boy I still find the MC kind of pathetic, maybe it's just me, but you know those protagonists where you think: What an IDIOT if I were him I would have done that, and that. It mostly occures with OP MCs while the MC isn't that OP yet where I am he still has a very strong ability with an incredible growth ability(, ok not thaaat strong....).

While I'm only halfway through I do think it will get much better, because while there were times where I'd rather read something else this fiction does have its moments.

Btw 5stars because I support this story it deserves more of a 4.7

Edit: After reading quite a bit more, I still think, that this is a good novel, yet it also is a bit confusing. With that I partly mean the information influx. A lot of things are mentioned, names, entads, powers, entities, etc.. It gets easy to forget some of them, but that isn't really a problem, the quick appearance and disappearance of some characters do bump me out a bit though. This novel is also quite heavy to read in some way. Partly because of the long chapters (which sometimes are quite boring).

Can't Cure Deceit

You can't cure what you don't have.

The MC is a very nice person, always caring and kind, never acting for himself. He is truly a saint and even as a lawyer he only cared for his clients, no matter their past.

This is truly a great fiction with very nice characters and world-building. I have yet to see any grammar mistakes and the supporting cast is quite nice as well, each with their own little story. If the release rate continues to be so frequent the Top 50 aren't far off. Truly a magnificent story.

The Essence of Cultivation

It has been quite a few monthss since 'arrogant master variaton 4' came and went. Finally, I think a contender has arrived. While I doubt this story will make it very far, I still hope it will.

The few chapter which are out, were quite promising after all. Characters with good interactions, a budding master-disciple relationship and a new form of magic-cultivation to explore, just a few things this novel presents to us.

I like it, my problem though is with the release date and possible hiatus. The first chapter came out months ago, while I hope that kind of hiatus will remain as a sole example, I fear it won't. Still I hope the author will continue this story, it has got plenty potential, especially with Qici and the MCs relationship.

Sexy Space Babes

I like it, a good aliens x human novel. The harem also is quite nice, as are the s*x scenes. The first chapter had me hooked already and the following ones just made it better. But while the romantic and sexual stuff is very promising, the same can't be said about the military and the MCs career. Not in a bad sense, just that it is very open-ended. I have no idea where this will go story-wise. Can't wait to find out.

Cultivation Anomaly

I dropped this at chapter 20 almost a year ago. It was nice, but not overly amazing. Now much later I have mixed feelings about this story. I have read up to chapter 52.

On one side I am happy, that this story is still ongoing. On the other hand, the story hasn't advanced much in my opinion. Neither with page numbers, nor with story content. Yet I still think, that this story is nice.

Even though more than 30 chapters have been added since I had last read this, there hasn't been much progress, story-wise... in a way. Characters have grown, as have relationships. Parts of the world have been revealed and general knowledge concerning the world has been shared. But the MC has barely advanced his cultivation or his knowledge. I am guessing this will be a slow burn, very slow. Maybe taking multiple years. But at the end hopefully this story will be as enjoyable as it was now.

The story has advanced a bit, war, conflicts and missions to complete have appeared. But it will still take quite a while for all of them, to become integral to the MCs surroundings.

The grammar, while not awful, has many mistakes here and there, an editor, or just a helper for corrections, or a grammar checker (I heard grammarly was popular) would be appreciated.

The characters also have been evolving slowly and steadily, not much other than a friendship has been revealed. So no major secrets (if there are any) concerning the characters (other than the MCs soul of course).

All in all, this novel is alright. Ups and downs, but no major downsides. It is an alright read and I will surely read it again. For now though. I will drop it again. The semi-regular release rate, coupled with the not-that-big, not-that-small chapters doesn't make this all that enjoyable in weekly intervals. Better to forget about it for a few months (maybe years) and think about it again someday, to binge it.

(Btw I stumbled upon this story again, because I saw it at Livingspoons profile under favorites.)

Realm of Monsters

I honestly did not expect this to be as good as it is. But as any novel it has good parts and a few bad parts.

The story is quite nice. Giving us a summary of Strygs early life, while including some details in the ongoing story. It really gets good when the MC arrives in the city. The story has a good structure, early parts, academy life and most likely some kind of war or conflict at the end. I am very hopeful about this story, even more so, considering how well written everything is.

I didn't see any mistakes, though there were small logic inconsistencies.

The characters also are very well portraited and everyone has got his/her own flavour. LGBT+ is also featured.

Now to my negatives. I didn't find the beginning all that good, but that was simply because of the bad treatment of the MC and him being such a small fry.

My real concern is the harem aspect. With all the potential this story has, I could see harem being its downfall. Sure the first member didn't seem too bad. But personally I didn't like her that much.

Simply because of her powerlessness. All she can provide is emotional support, her body and a person to trust. Like hearing out all of the MCs secrets and giving advice.

While the first member could be a good influence and become a good partner to the MC, I don't think this will work for more harem-members. The maximum amount of harem-members I could see working would be three. Any more than that, and this story could devolve into a failed work. Writing a good harem story is pretty difficult and while it currently works, though the harem hasn't formed yet. It could become more of a problem in the future.

Another thing, while this story has got some new elements like the intricate magic-system, there are many tropes and parts of this story which were used. For example the academy life, which was executed very well. The reason I find this story so good. Is because of the world, the MC and also because of the characters. The author managed to combine the various tropes to form a good story, so good job.

Otherwise, this story is underrated. The current academy arc is doing exceedingly well in my opinion and I think in the new future it will only get better.

I am quite baffled by the cover though. The lamias did play a part in the beginning. But are they important enough to be on the cover of this story? My guess is, that the lamia on the title is some sort of warlord and will become a big antagonist later, maybe also an addition to the harem.

Jayke Cipher

The Dungeon Child

BUT, without more chapters, and most importantly, more content per chapter this will take ages to turn into a real story.

Though in the moment there isn't anything, at all to criticize, the lack of pages is the biggest problem in the moment.

Otherwise no problems, the story is (reaaally) slowly starting to take shape and there are already many characters, we also already get emotional development.

It isn't that difficult to write a good start with a good idea, many novels here on Royalroad had that initial success. What IS difficult, is to turn that idea into a great novel. While this indeed has a fantastic start it still has to be seen, whether this will become a great novel, or whether it will go awry. I like it though. (Edited 5 to 4.5 stars because of the slow release date.)
