1. Re: Literary Agent, where to look and how to get one?

All agencies accept first-time authors. I suggest Query Shark for information on how to query and what's selling well right now: and Query Tracker for information on what (...)

    2. Re: Requesting for Story Feedback

Left a comment. I don't feel like I learned anything about your character in 3 chapters, let alone what kind of personality he is.

    3. Re: 5k words vs 10k words?

I always feel like if I sit down to read one chunk of text that's 10,000 words, I'm going to lose my place if I have to get up or return later, which is why I prefer shorter (1,000-2,000 word) "chapters" (...)

    4. Re: Publishing a Story that I have published from other sites - Yay or Nay?

I'm currently publishing on Tapas, Webnovel, Patreon, and Royalroad. I was on Wattpad and Inkitt for a while but my work didn't get many views/comments etc. on Wattpad or Inkitt-- Wattpad's really great (...)

    5. Re: RoyalRoad#101 - Free Reviews each Sunday.

Doing the "personal enjoyment" rating plus the overall rating is really smart-- there's so many times I've loved a book but know it's perhaps not objectively amazing, just hits all the perfect spots for (...)

    6. Re: Are stories on Royal Road a waste of time?

IMO entertainment is the ultimate use for fiction.

    7. Re: Do you like Light Novels?

My favorite Light Novel is Paying to Win in a VRMMO by Blitz Kiva, it's SUPER funny, light comedy LitRPG parody. Six volumes so not a super long series to get into either.

    8. Re: Traumatizing content?

To be blunt, things like rape, detailed surgery scenes, detailed torture and so on (beyond what might be seen in a PG-13 or so movie) are usually considered traumatizing content. Of course you can change (...)

    9. Re: Book Covers

These are amazing! Can you PM me? I'm definitely interested but I have a few questions!

    10. Re: How do i get followers

There's a great free app called Canva that makes making covers from stock photos very easy-- if you're doing a fantasy or science-fiction novel or so on there's plenty of images (...)

    11. Re: Should I merge my chapters to make them longer?

I personally prefer 1,500-2,500 word chapters or so. Short is fine but I agree with 300/600 words, unless it's an unusual and super punchy case, it's probably a bit hard to get into the flow of the story (...)
