Re: Killing another sentient - How does/ did your MC deal with it?
Had your MC done it before or was it a culmination of things? Before, when young enough that empathy hadn't quite developed yet. Also, killing someone they know would be much harder to deal with than (...)

Re: Killing another sentient - How does/ did your MC deal with it?
So how did or how will your MCs/ characters deal with killing someone else? MC: It's can be pretty hard. They tend to fight back... oh, 'emotionally'? What do you mean emotionally? I'm glad they're (...)

Killing another sentient - How does/ did your MC deal with it?
In my latest chapter my MC and their group stumbled upon a murderer. The killer was caught red handed with lots of proof in the form of bodies. Yet my MC and their group struggled with their decision both (...)

Re: Is it possible to add a link from one chapter to another?
Well this isn't something I've ever done but a bit of experimenting I figured it out. If you create the link in the 'Post-chapter author note' and copy and paste it over into the 'Chapter Content' (...)

Re: Progression books where the Mc is royalty
Surviving the succession comes to mind. The story follows a character who is reincarnated into a eastern inspired realm and has to survive political plots as part of the extended family of the emperor. (...)

Re: Demesne! Settlement-Building On The Frontier Around A Wizard's Dungeon!(Not LitRPG/No System/No Stats)
Can I say how disappointed I've been that none of your side stories/ April fools have contained a litrpg isekai? I went back to double check in the hopes of making a smartass comment but no... +1 for (...)

Re: Not sure if I deleted a comment

Re: How do I set my fiction to completed?
If you're planning on publishing more chapters under the same RoyalRoad fiction, maybe just leave an endnote. When you start to publish the next book you can publish it in a new Volume. As it stands (...)

Re: Chapter start block
I'll have to try both methods and maybe a mix. They seems to be separate in my mind - setting tone for a new area or event sounds easier with fresh eyes.

Chapter start block
When I write, I often have the most trouble with the first few sentences in a chapter. They're always the trickiest to drag out. I can sit staring at the page fiddling with the entire chapter well planned (...)

Re: Struggling coming up with ideas
Do you have to give credit? That depends on how much you crib. At a certain point you're writing a fan fiction. Think of all the twists on dungeon core stories or worlds with a system. It's okay (...)
