Re: I got my first 0.5 rating and now I'm sad.
I agree with the others; don't let it get you down. You'll always get hit by .5-ratings. Someone has disliked a single scene and written to me about how they rated it as such because I've written a single (...)

Re: Suggestion: Private Posting Feature
Thank you two for the answers. I just posted it in the Ideas area. ^_^7 https://feedback.royalroad.com/i115-suggestion-private-posting-feature https://feedback.royalroad.com/i116-discord-link-by-patreon (...)

Re: Suggestion: Private Posting Feature
Although, I suppose I could just make a Google Doc's page and do it that way. Just thought I'd make the suggestion. I'm sure many people would use it.

Re: Suggestion: Private Posting Feature
Some of my readers have made it clear that Patreon has a terrible reading layout. Is it possible to add a Private Post feature that I can direct patrons to?

Re: Art vs. Entertainment
The thought crossed my mind today; writing can be taken in many ways, Educational, Inspirational, Entertaining, etc. My thought was, what kind of content do I have or others have, and what's the difference (...)

Re: Is posting a straight-up romance story on Royal Road a waste of time?
My story is a fantasy romance with harem element and people seem to like it. In one month I managed to reach rank 210 so there is a following for this sort of thing. I will say that it appears there is (...)

Re: Is posting a straight-up romance story on Royal Road a waste of time?
Well, we think that way about mainstream novels, but then we look at Pirateaba that releases about 30k-40k words a week and start sweating, but she's an exception ... a very singular exception xD

Re: Is posting a straight-up romance story on Royal Road a waste of time?
Hmm... I'm either planning on doing two chapters a week, or four chapters a week, for this first romance novel; because of the way it's formatted it has to be done in pairs of two (2/3, 4/5, 6/7, and so (...)

Re: Is posting a straight-up romance story on Royal Road a waste of time?
To be honest, A Tail's Misfortune Volume 1 and 2, as well as The Helena Chronicles Volume 1, were written in novel format, but taken reasonably well. My advice would be to release a chapter, wait for (...)

Re: Is posting a straight-up romance story on Royal Road a waste of time?
I've got a few novels in the pipeline for the next year or two, and because of my current career situation, I am probably going to opt to publish them as web serials rather than try for traditional publication. (...)

Re: Some Cost Efficient/Quality Commissionable Artists
I've never done paid commissions, but as an (amateur still really) artist, I know how much effort artworks like those take, so it's definitely a good price!! Thanks for sharing the lovely art. The tree (...)

Re: Some Cost Efficient/Quality Commissionable Artists
I've looked around and found two very good artists for their price. I use them for different purposes; note that both of them don't speak English and use google translate, which is probably a reason for (...)

Re: Two books at once?
Hi everyone, so I'm currently working on my fantasy book "Lost Souls." But I'm considering writing a western as well. Does anyone else work on multiple books at once? How do you balance writing multiple (...)

Re: So, I Was In The Shower...
Thanks. =D I enjoy my universes, but sometimes I do feel a bit rushed with some of my fans haha ... I get messages like, "Todays the day! Chapter today! No delays!" Hehe, I try to produce quality (...)

Re: So, I Was In The Shower...
Hmm, I can agree with most of that. Although, street performers do offer things as well, so perhaps a tip jar isn't the best analogy with them. There are street performers that sell CD's or products (...)

Re: So, I Was In The Shower...
That's a decent examination to which I'd respond: 1: I didn't put all negative things, but there are negative aspects. Yes, a vast majority of comments/ratings/reviews tend to be positive, but that (...)

Re: So, I Was In The Shower...
I'm interested in what you disagree with. =) It's just a thought that can be refined and better expressed.

Re: So, I Was In The Shower...
My audience has been growing and, of course, the controversy has as well. So, it’s been on my mind. I get PM’s, Comments, Reviews, and Ratings that are all over the place. I'm in the shower, getting (...)

Re: WritE reviewing services
I hope your fears for it declining don't occur and will do my best to keep everything in a more realistic realm. There could be seen in a few places where time would be a factor in response, but (...)
