This has been discussed when we initially overhauled the tags (late January this year). We conducted a search on other platforms and noticed that about half of the fictions that had tags similar to the requested one were primarily sexual in nature, and we decided that, considering that we want to distance ourselves from overly mature content in that regard, we couldn't implement something primarily associated with sexual content.

I like it, but don’t call it that.  Same-sex is better and people don’t have to look it up.

That reason is so weird and out there. Will it not be reconsidered?

Yuri/Yaoi is certainly associated with R18 content, but BL and Shoujo Ai isn't. If you want to keep the more English terminology tagging it as "same-sex romance" or "homosexual romance" should be good enough.

Well, sort of.  This seems... rather wrong to me as the tag by itself isn't anymore sexual than a normal romance tag?  It is basically saying tha any romantic story between two gays is inherently sexual in a way that the same romantic story between two straight people would be.

So uh, re-suggesting GL/BL tags.  Sorry for the necro, could make a new thread if it's an issue.

just any sort of lesbian/gay/bisexual tag would be soo helpful. It dosn't have to be sexual in any way. sometimes I just want to be able to find romance novels that have GL. its annoying to have to read like 5 chapters in to figure anything out. its a huge waste of time. 

It's weird that we have these niche anime/videogame tags, but something as broad as yuri/yaoi or same-sex doesn't exist. Feel like they could save a lot of time for a lot of readers.

As others have said abouve, there are tags that point out same sex relationships without beeing sexual.
BL and Shoujo Ai for example.
or as another said "same sex romance"

I for my part are fed with reading about Lesbian female MCs.
I have nothing against homosexuals, hell two of my close friends are married to each other but even they agree that the genre is overfed.
The genre is so overused that i cringe every time i read that offcourse the Bi Female MC ends up with a girl. What a surprise.
Why did the author not warn me about this?

The i write a review that might be lower then it should be for the constant cringe while reading.

So please for the love of god give us some tags.
Hell even "LGBTQ Romance" would fit.
I would see it and close the tab.
No time wasted for me and the author who has to deal with people raging in the comments for the missing tags.
