Lesson 13: Time Skips
Skipping time also serves to highlight changes that are less obvious because they occur gradually. The skip serves to emphasize the magnitude of the change.
Vague prompt: in 500 words, write a piece that occurs in two parts with a time skip in between. Focus on one character's development and maturation between the scenes while still maintaining core characteristics.
Specific prompt: Jesse is a normal kid. In 500 words, depict him/her (your choice) at age 15 (beginning of high school) and age 22 (end of university). Focus on his/her character development and maturation while still maintaining core characteristics.
