I'm trying to update my fics (with link) into my signature on posts I'make, but for some reason it says they're too long even though other people's posts seem to have much longer sigs at the bottom of their posts. What am I doing wrong?

At the moment even trying to put the two titles with links attached is too much. My two fics are:

Saviour of the World
How to Avoid Death on A Daily Basis

But apparently just that's too much and I get an error message. Is there a limit for newer members? It doesn't seem to be more than the 255 character limit.

Any assistance appreciated.


EDIT: Fixed it! I deleted everything and rewrote the sig and it seems to work fine. No idea what I did wrong last time. Sorry for the bother.

Yes, I got it to work by restarting from scratch. It was telling me I was 402 characters over the limit, must have pasted in some extra invisible words somehow.
