Back log of chapters to release
#1
Hi there everyone, new-ish writer here. I had some experience writing on webnovel a few years ago but it didn't go well as I felt like they were screwing me over on the money side of things despite how much work I was consistently putting in. Anyways, I ended up writing a good 400-500 chapters for that piece and now, after rewriting the first volume, (which is still in progress) I'm posting again on this site. It's all broken into volumes but my question is should I post each volume all at once? Or should I maybe just do weekly chapter releases?

The primary way of getting initial viewers here is by showing up on Latest Updates on the front page. You wanna space out your chapter releases sufficiently to maximize that exposure.

Would it be easy for you to read a million-word novel? Release one chapter per day or two chapters per 12 hours. Keep in mind, it is hard for a reader to read 10 000-word chapters or larger, if you have any, you might want to chop them into several 2 000-word chapters instead.

Since you have such a massive backlog, you have tons of opportunity here. I would post a chapter a day for at least the first 30 days. This will be your best shot at getting onto the Rising Stars list, which is a good goal to have if you're looking to build a viewership and monetize.
Speaking of monetize, now is a great time to launch your Patreon and start offering advance content since you have so much of it. That's the primary method of monetization here. Then as you complete volumes send them over to Amazon to maximize revenue of each individual volume.

Wow, thanks. I hadn't thought of that actually. I'm not sure about the whole process but I'll do some digging and see what I can learn about it. I'm still in the process of finishing up the rewrite of my first volume but the others are ready to go barring some editing and whatnot. If you wouldn't mind, would you be willing to give me a few pointers about the whole process?

You shouldn't post every Vol at once.
You should publish chapter after chapter of each and very vol, keep the publishing constant, and make sure that it stays loong enough on the site so that people could see it.
If I wouldn't publish all in one day.
In this way people can see your work.
Furthermore, you should make sure that every chapter is edited and well written, though don't take too much time, perfectionism can be a double edge sword.
