IG and TikTok is probably where the largest group of people are. If you got those two sites well organized, you won't need anything else, imo.

I spend a lot of time in social networks, but I always wanted and I had a goal to create their own social network, yes, I understand that it is not as easy as it seems, but for this I found a website builder https://apps.shopify.com/easyorder , I think with their help you can try to create a platform of communication I would like it to look like watsapp, but would have a different disposition. In general, there are a lot of ideas, but I often sit in Instagram.

Aside regarding the algo on TikTok. Might be interesting to people.
I recently finally (as in like two weeks ago) got around to making a TikTok. Decided to try and understand the algo that everybody likes so much.
Understanding a bit, but still don't quite grok it.
Likes don't seem correlated with views on TikTok. They don't influence the algo to recommend a video any more or less it seems. Recommending mostly shuts off after 24 hours.
Hmm. Hmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Heads up I got in trouble for making a similar thread last year

Why? It's valuable information. Royal Road shouldn't be the only place people post their stories, even if they make it their primary. I'm hoping to eventually post my WIP on at least two other sites when the time comes, and I've been doing research to figure out exactly the right ones to use. Trying to decide amongst ScribbleHub, Inkitt, and Neovel. And Booksie (which I just discovered due to this thread) looks pretty good on a cursory glance. That doesn't change the fact that Royal Road is always going to be the primary home for anything I write.

When I made my thread I got scolded for promoting other sites for writing and had the thread deleted/locked so idk. It's up to the mods at that point.

Kind a silly. It's good to know one's options if you write something off-genre or a dead-on-arrival genre and want somewhere else to go. Not every genre out there is a good fit for this place.
Though I argue there are probably too many platforms out there given the length of that list. Very few of them do anything different from one another and have enough activity on them to warrant their existence. Heck, one of them on that list, Lunaescence, isn't even active. In fact, from what I gathered, they had a crowdfunding campaign to update the site, made the money, and hasn't updated the site. My writers believe they run off with the money.

So then the question I would pose after so many sites are listed: What the next best fiction site after RR?
So many of these other places seem to have ...issues the instant I start looking into them. Some are smut factories (fine if that's what you're into), some are a bit toxic and predatory, and others cater to a very specific demographic like Romance. Honestly aside from the litRPG bias, RR seems like the best place to post. I considered Tapas once long ago because a friend of mine posted her Overwatch AU fanfic comic there once, but fiction seems like it's very slice of life oriented.

I said this in a rep, but the more I think about it, it would probably be best to mention it in thread.
Website lists like this are nice, but I feel like without a little descriptions of what each site is like, it can be a little overwhelming to sift through. Like what @TheRealAlpha2 said, the writing sites especially have different biases, and not every one is suitable for the type of person who would normally post to Royal Road. And even with the social media sites, giving the name doesn't really give a full picture of them. MySpace, while it still exists, seems to be more for established musicians and promoters than a general audience, for example.
With the amount of sites posted here, I understand that it would be a lot of work. Maybe people who suggested the sites can offer little descriptions.

Well, if you look up site traffic data, to be honest is your next best bet is ScribbleHub.
Last I looked, Wattpad and WebNovel hold the top spot for original fiction.
Neovel and Moonquill were after ScribbleHub. However, I was looking at site data. This didn't include app data Neovel and Moonquil data is incomplete because they have an app as well. However, Moonquil, between the two, just seems like a curated RoyalRoad and stale.
I didn't get a chance to examine Tapas' data because, I couldn't compare it up against others. Comics make up most of the views and content there. Also, they have an app which they encouraged you to use. If Tapas really wants to help novelist, they should consider raising that character limit for each chapter. All it creates is a lot of awkward reading stories in my opinion.

I've heard it keeps with Tapas's gimmick of having bite-sized stories, but I couldn't agree more. It's something that kept me from using the site for a long time, and something I still hate.
Also, yeah, it's really important to point out that with Tapas, comics are king. Especially professionally polished ones. You won't be given as many opportunities to advertise as comic producers, but it's possible to gain a following if you write in the right genres. Fantasy and Romance* are the top genres, from what I've been able to gather. There's even a little overlap with RR's readerbase in terms of isekai stories being kind of popular right now. If I recall correctly, The Beginning After The End is the most popular novel on Tapas by a long shot (according to like count). Though, this may be in part because it had a webcomic to accompany it.
For a short description of Tapas, I would say:
Big userbase, fantasy and romance are most popular. It's comic-centric, but novels can be posted so long as each upload is 15,000 characters long or less.
* This includes BL, GL, and to some extent, LGBT+, which are all separate genres from (straight) Romance on Tapas.

I have looked at every site on this list. People always want everything done for them in this century. Isn't it enough that I made the list? It's not hard. The easier stuff gets in this century, the more people just don't want to do for themselves.
