by the way DuckDuckGo also now sells your information to no browser it's really safe it's just a shity thing you have to live with

The lure of data for profit it's very hard for every business to ignore if you're in the UK you're lucky they have strong enough laws to prevent people from selling your data without your permission and the United States you're not so lucky they can say they're not selling it and sell it anyway

Everything is just security theater. It's much like the physical locks on house that won't stop anyone with a lockpick.

If you aren't paranoid about everything, including the thief at your digital door, then you aren't operating in reality. (including if a friend sends a link, start asking the friend personal questions only they know. Their account might be compromised).

Being paranoid about everything is a waste of time and will drain mental energy. Practice and implant excellent security routines into your life that will slow down thieves, but stay logical not paranoid or fearful.

Those are not mutually exclusive ideas. You should be both paranoid and secure.

I'm secure in that I'm a health nut, and will do screenings when I'm older age in order to have the best shot at a healthy life.
That said you would be wasting your life  paranoid about if cancer cells are forming every other day that's way too far. Sometimes you just get played/unlucky it's more about adapting afterwards IMO.
