Recommendation for Funny Stories

#1
There are a lot of stories that use the "Comedy" tag in a way that I don't feel is useful.  If I am searching using the "Comedy" tag I want a story where the primary focus is the comedy.  For example, I really like Law of Averages, and it does have some humorous scenes in it, but it's serious at least 90% of the time.  Similarly, Beware of Chicken is excellent, but it's "heartwarming" more than "funny".

Additionally, I'm not much of a fan of dark humor/dark satire/gallows humor, so black comedies like Dungeon Crawler Carl are just a miss for me.

What are some recommendations for stories that prioritize comedy, not just sprinkle it in here and there?  Extra points if it's a longer story.

Mine (the golden retriever one)  has all sort of humor. It has some dark jokes, some edgy jokes, too, but most of it is absurd through and through. For example, the last chapter I uploaded has an scene of the hateable protagonist suffering because a woman complimented him instead of considering him a wholesale cunt.

Mine's got a lot of comedy and the like, but also drama and high intensity combat.

But there are whole chapters of comedy.

And of course, there's good ol' Dorkness, the Vampire AI that someone just typed in "upload vampire*.*" toward the end of its design that ends up terrorizing an entire planet because the aliens can't understand his motives.

Hi, I don't know if Jazz Hands is funny, all I know is that I wrote it intending to be funny.  It's only a single chapter short though.  But comedy was the point.

Something new that only has about four chapter is "The Curse of the Stupid Fat Crow", which is insanely funny Xianxia satire, but only if you understand Xianxia tropes, if you've never read any Xianxia then it would seem like a truly bizzaro-world book.

Hey, thanks for the shoutout!

My 'That One Isekai' is a chaotic satire of Isekai, LitRPG, web serials, and anime in general. Comedy and satire is the primary focus, and I'd like to think that it's pretty funny.

But don't take my word for it. Instead, take my word for it, in the form of a snippet below:

Quote:I raised my hand to the back of my neck and opened the channel of my CODEC. The CODEC wasn't one of my skills; I live in the future, so everybody has one. Mine was a simple plug-in model I bought from C-Mobile.

"Kamiko!" I shouted, "The Adventurer's Guild is under attack! By skeletons!"

"Oh crackers!" she swore. "This must be the work of the Demon Lord!"

"Demon Lord?!" I repeated, "Do you really think the Demon Lord is behind this attack?"

"It has to be the case, Hiro-kun. There's no way that trouble could be caused by somebody other than the Demon Lord or her flunkies. We can't spare the narrative complexity to have any ills of the world not be directly attributed to a villain you can defeat using violence."

I nodded. That made sense to me. "That makes sense to me," I said. "Your jingoisms are both rational and compelling."

Still, I wasn't sure if I was ready to fight the Demon Lord just yet. After all, that sort of thing is meant to happen at the very end, isn't it? I hadn't even gotten started on my kick-ass fantasy RPG Isekai adventure in another world (TL Note: "another world" means Isekai).

You be the judge of that, mine has humor like this: Watch me butcher the english language, no I mean watch Sylph butcher it.
Quote:Her thoughts were sluggish and could not quite make their way to where they were supposed to go. “My dragonheart ran out of water.” The realization struck her and her heartbeat quickened. “It started to poison me. I really need more water.”

Brandon hurried ahead, gesturing for her to follow. A few dunes later, the sand grew coarser between her digits. She had not noticed before, but the sand was rougher and the dunes smaller. Only a few minutes afterward, the initial fire inside faded, and she fell into a dull jog. Her steps grew tired and painful as they finally reached the edge of a small valley.

Sylph could not believe her eyes as she crossed the tip. “Well, tie me up and call me princess.”

“Excuse me?”

“It is beautiful. Cactussies.” She felt a dry tear crawling to the occasion. Brandon really found water in the desert.

“Cacti,” he corrected.

Walter would approve of the cactussy.
