Rapid_Intervention Wrote: To Keep the Peace

- Set in a fantasy world occupied by the United Nations of Earth, a young UNPC (United Nations Peacekeeper Corps) trooper finds himself...

In a dull place.

He signed up to see the beauty of Esuvia, and the war itself, with his own eyes and capture it and record it, either by using his camera or writing his book. An adventure...yet here he is, garrisoning an irrelevant town in a relatively stable region. Not that he will complain; peace is still beauty, after all.

But, little does he know, he will soon get what he signed up for as he is pulled off from his usual guard duty to rescue an ambushed civilian convoy en route to the town.

A tale of adventure in a strange new world as he follows his other mission - to help keep the peace.

I present to you all: Esuvia: Keeper of Peace
Hey, this sounds GOOD! You have introduced here, in your brief synopsis an internal conflict, which is so often lacking in the other blurbs I've read. GREAT!

Wonder is dead and we have killed it.

But once, long ago, wonder thrived and we loved it.

End of Horizon follows the journey of two young heroes into an age of legend filled with terrible tyrants and mighty heroes as their world welcomes old magic back into its heart. Will they build themselves a legacy that will echo forth eons into the future? Or will they crumble to dust, as all have before them. Journey to the Hourglass and into a new Age of Wonder to find out.

Pokémon: A Sense of Illusion

The civil war in Kalos is barely over, but forces are already forming underground with only one goal: to overthrow the new government. Sal, on the other hand, knows nothing about war or politics. She only wants one thing: to escape from her orphanage and enjoy a life of freedom. On the day of her flight, she not only meets her first Pokémon, but also falls into the hands of the rebellious forces. A fateful encounter that would change her life forever.

----

Pokémon: A Sense of Illusion follows an orphaned 12-year-old girl who, through a twist of fate, falls into the hands of a conspiratorial group of anti-government activists who see violence as a necessary means to achieve their goals. As implied by the title, they mainly use Pokemon for this.

If you're interested in a story that has complex characters that evolve and shape their environment as much as it shapes them, you've probably come to the right place. Don't expect a moral guide. There is neither right nor wrong. Each character has their own personal goals and acts within the framework of their own values, even if these can sometimes take on extremist traits.

It's also a bit of a coming-of-age story about a girl in an environment that's incredibly harmful to her, but does good things for her.

If you feel like reading my story... I would be very happy about a review or a rating. Thanks!

LINK:  Callie's Heroes

BLURB:
For Callie Archer, the day had started out awful and went downhill from there.  From the terrible job interview to the strange woman in the oversized hat that pushed her in front of a train, things were just not going her way.  Awakening to find herself in the body of a Gnome and in a strange, fantastic world of Ogres, Elves and Fae, Callie must not only survive, but try to find a way back home.

It doesn't help that she's also conscripted into the army, and will literally die if she doesn't fight the hordes of demons rampaging across the land.

This has wonderful potential. My only problem is that when I hear the word gnome I think of those plastic statues people put in their gardens. Can she be something other than a gnome?

I"m guessing that you're unfamiliar with D&D gnomes then? Tenacious, gregarious, comedic, but also murderous if provoked! Read a bit of Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, or even some Shadowrun and you'll understand. Being smaller than your opponents can be a real blessing in disguise.

Also, in World of Warcraft, Gnomes are very much more Hobbit-like, without so much feet hair.  That's the type of Gnome she is.

Yes, you are correct. I'm unfamiliar with D&D gnomes.

MHA Hope Agency: Wounds that will not Heal vol.1

[My Hero Academia OC fanfiction]

After finally achieving their dreams of opening their own Hero Agency, the girls of Hope Agency want nothing more but to live simple lives as Pro Heroes. But when a new threat forces them to open old wounds and leave their home in London for the land of Japan, they learn that being on the right side of ‘good’ isn’t as easy as it seems.
Now they must take action, to not only settle old scores, but to ensure a horrific tragedy never takes place. All while questioning, what does it mean to be a Hero?

This is a story set a couple of years before the main series, My Hero Academia. Although the majority of the cast will be original characters, canon characters will make appearances. Also note, this is the first part of a series. Links and updates for the sequels will be uploaded later.

My Childhood Best Friend is a VTuber! (OsananaV)

Akira is a self-proclaimed hikikomori that's obsessed with popular culture and one virtual content creator in particular - Mayu Hoshinoka. It is only when her stream is offline and he gets forced into a lunch date with his childhood best friend, Koiyomi, does he realise that maybe there is more to this VTuber than he could have ever expected.

Scratch that, maybe there is more to his childhood best friend than he could have ever anticipated.

A quippy new romantic comedy of misunderstanding, virtual idols and sadomasochism from the author of "Blood? Suckers!"
