Well, my story is a supernatural story. The focus is on vampires, but other supernatural beings exist too. They include werebeasts, shapeshifters, witches, zombies, demons, and something else that I don't want to reveal now.

There exists a planet called Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl. It lies in the River of Heaven(Milky Way Galaxy) in star cluster Messier 13, on the outer spiral of the galaxy.
Map provided from Inkarnate.
Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl is named after the two main continents: Yahmajô̗ of the north and Alą̧̄utl of the south. Nomadic tribes called the Khoitan were the first to roam the desert landscape. Earliest traces of humanity can be traced back to the Divine Scrolls of Ragye dating back to 630 in recorded time. As of the year 1980 exists the tribes of Yan, Kakai, Dineh, as well as the defunct tribes of Kalyk and Maák. Khoitan tribes that stopped their nomadic traditions decided to settle and form villages and towns at around the century of 900-1000. These tribes that settled eventually formed the Buhang, Azu, and Z̆ongren. Their towns eventually turned into cities and bustling metropolis.
The first nation founded in 785. Once renowned as the artitectural master of the world, with all other nations scuplting their buildings and cities after them. They spoke a language called Renyu, which later evolved to Renhua. During the Golden Age, the Z̆ongren conquered and colonized the kingdom of Silla after its demise in 953. Later from 1920-1940 they conquered northern Yahmajô̗, and enslaved the Maák tribe. They were forced to pull back due to the nature of the Al-Diyu Sands, one of the most dangerous deserts on the planet. With their massive naval capacity they threaten ports with their presence, and often conflicts with Azutami.
Azutami:
The second nation founded in 1036. The Yan Shogunate, descended from the Yan tribe that formed a minority of the population. The shogunate was brutal in its governance, and strict on foreign policy. It wasn't long before they enacted the Sakoku decree, isolating themselves, although their language of Nippong and Azu came under heavy influence of As-Z̆onghu̐a. During the Golden Age the Azu people revolted against the Yan Shogunate, and replaced it with a new Miyuyno bloodline to take the emperor's throne. Ever since the Sakoku decree was abolished in 1903, now they are a major power and a threat to As-Z̆onghu̐a, conquering the Dineh tribe and setting up a puppet state called the Tasdaha Protectorate after a staged incident compelled them to a four-year military invasion of Dineh land from 1943-1947.
Buhanggilog:
The last nation founded in 1052. During the Golden Age, the Buhang conquistadors explored and conquered the Alą̧̄utl continent(1101-1112), as well as the expedition of the Tier̃a Muęrta Dunes by conquistador Nando Mahelyon in 1342. However after the Golden Age, the country has fallen from its former glory, with a corrupt government and a large percent of Buhang people in poverty. Its people immigrate to Tasdaha, Azutami, and As-Z̆onghu̐a to work and find a better life elsewhere. The Kalyk-Khoitan Massacre in 1968 resulted in the eradication of the Kalyk tribe and placed further placed international suspicion on the Khoitan tribes since Azutami invaded the Dineh.
Sahar is used in everyday live. A person can turn on appliances or unlock a door by focusing their sahar onto the item, and even complicated machines such as ordering a drink from the vending machine. This of course, has regulation of the law enforcement especially in the bigger cities.

Sahar
Language plays a key role in the use of sahar and its spells. In order of powerful to weakest, the languages go:Sahar, commonly known as saharic particles or ‘particles’ in Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl, is present antimatter that coexists with matter in the universe. It is said that particles supposedly created the planet of Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl and the universe. The term 'sahar' is first mentioned in the Scrolls of Ragye, the earliest scripture of the Yyvubia. People in Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl have naturally adapted to use sahar and control sahar since the beginning of human existence.
These particles contain object-creating properties, allowing them to willingly form into matter when reacting to certain sound frequencies. However, it can take a toll on the human body.

- Sahar Level: The amount of particles one can hold without their body being damaged in the process. A person that exceeds their sahar level would experience vomiting blood, nausea, and damaged vital organs.
- Saharic Mastery: The mastery and learning aptitude of the person when using sahar spells. A person with a high saharic mastery tends to know and use more spells as compared to someone with a low saharic mastery.

It is generally debated that the proto-languages of Renyu/Nippong/Kataga have stronger properties than their modern predecessors of Renhua/Azu/Galag. The strength of a sahar spell is almost entirely dependent on what language it is said in, except for special cases of high saharic mastery.

On Earth, the main character Daniel sees himself as trapped by circumstance. Stuck in a menial job with no means of escape. He likens his life to being trapped in the ocean, working tirelessly by treading water. Never advancing or progressing. Just working hard to avoid drowning and maintaining the status quo. It's a very cynical cut-throat earth and without wealth or power, he finds himself poorly treated within it.
Alarstardes is a violent magical world where human beings can absorb and manipulate a naturally occurring energy source called essence. This essence can take their natural human abilities to superhuman levels. Every human with a core that stores and regenerates essence. Through training, cores go through several evolutions. People in this world are ranked into tiers based on their core level.
The vast majority of people are peasants with static cores who never learn how to absorb and manipulate essence. They are Stone rank.
From there essence user ranks are Bronze, Iron, and Steel. Knights, people of minor nobility, the children of higher nobility, and various other essence users fall into this group.
The rulers of Alarstardes hold a core evolution rank of Lord, Baron, Duke, and Sovereign. Achieving Lordhood or beyond is impossible without a Spirit weapon. Ancient artifacts discovered long ago that soul bond to an essence user until death. These weapons grant powers and abilities beyond an ordinary essence user. They are highly valuable and closely guarded by the nobility so that they can be passed down to their children.
In a way upward mobility is almost as non-existent there for Daniel as it is on earth until he steals a Spirit weapon for himself.

It's pretty similar to our world except, there's magic + magical beings who aren't humans.

Modern world, the first book takes place during the 2020s. So, all the social problems we have in our world are in this one + mage/human conflicts. Class problems, especially with mages and old powerful families (probably pretty similar to irl class problems).
Takes place mostly in fictional American-esque and European countries, but the USA is visited from time to time.
It pretty much follows a timeline very similar to our own, same major historical events, but of course, it differs a bit because of magic.

The planet's fractured crust floats in the sky.
The oceans are a certain death area called the blue abyss.
There’s a god that has engineered the world for its entertainment.
The more renowned you become, the stronger you become, and the longer you live. Keep racking up accomplishments and you’ll be inscribed o the wall of legends, becoming immortal.
Magic exists, and it’s conceptually based. Everyone has an affinity (air, fire, ice, etc…) which determines what they can summon and manipulate.
For each affinity, there is an appropriate martial art that boost physical abilities.

The Wild West, but if the entire wilderness was everything it was ever hyped up to be in Native American legends. From Skinwalkers to Bakwas to Urayuli, even the Wendigo is real. People fight for their lives against these creatures just as often as they do against each other. A substance called Ether and things known as Sigils gives the men and women a fighting chance against the beings that dwell west.
The most powerful weapons that people can wield to defend themselves are also the most dangerous. When living things die that possess Ether, sometimes their leftover desires will form items identical to some of their body parts in life, like hands or eyes, with powers similar to the fallen in life but twisted beyond recognition. These items, known as artifacts, are the folly of many survivors. They eat and devour from those who hold them.
The only form of government is a loose but still held-together coalition of people called Hunters, mostly from the top down by the powerful. Many young men and women dream of becoming some of these legendary figures despite their near 100% fatality rate while in service.
The name of the game is survival. Survival of the mind, the body, and most importantly, the soul. All must Tread Lightly if they wish not to become another man's artifact, a corpse in an unmarked grave, a demon's lunch, or the puppet of an artifact that was given too much to eat.
Overconfidence and bravado are the hands of a fool, but sometimes fearlessness is needed when all others cower before the Wilds.

I the world of my story (The Fameneth) gods existed for billions of years but they died. Despite learning that death was a thing by seeing their creations die, gods never contemplated death for themselves, so they created all living creatures without thinking of how they would survive without them, so all creatures that developed intelligence over time became so attached and dependent of them than when gods died, all creatures began to look for a replacement everywhere. This means that people, whose lives used to be given meaning and purpose by the gods, now are desperately looking for it everywhere and there's an epidemic of lack of meaning and purpose in people's lives.
In other words, my world is different from this one, pretty much only because it has magic and creatures in it.

In this case, there is no difference, no difference at all. Nothing is removed from this world, and nothing is altered. Instead, knowledge of other worlds is what gets added, and only to few people.

Our story takes place in the Heian period in Japan. This is a society about as far from the modern world as you can imagine. As usual in feudal societies, 99.9% of the people were peasant farmers. The nobility were horribly inbred and only consisted of about 7000 people total, so literally everyone of any importance knew anyone else of importance. The traditional cultural touchstones that we expect from Japan are mostly not in place yet. Instead of samurai ruling everything, the nobility have control and are busy screwing things up. In fact, our story takes place at the point in time where the warriors are beginning to develop a unique culture that will (in a few years) lead to them taking control of the governing of the nation. If you want to find out more about the Heian period, you should look it up. We find it fascinating. Another difference from the real world is that instead of sticking with a strictly historical world, we have added the fantastic and supernatural elements that the people of the time believed in. In other words, if you were to tell our story to someone of that time period, they would look on it as a non-fiction tale instead of fiction.
