This is of course much to large scale to be told, so instead the story will initially follow a single character from 'Current Earth' who will be thrown onto another world with slightly different set of physics. And will spend an Odyssey existence trying to get back to family. Slowly exploring and learning more about the multiverse in an attempt to get back. MC will be a spinoff of the 'Naive Hero' trope. The type that usually gets explained as 'naive hero' to anyone that doesn't know them better. Mostly intentionally.
Currently writing the 'jumped into portal of adventure to keep from dying' -bit. Which is already feeling a bit cliche, but other than how it sounds like storm troopers attempting to kill MC doesn't feel nearly as trope as it sounds. -obviously needs work-

Caught up in official interrogation to find out who they are. Memory crystal. Shift story perspective.
Interrogation by modern Feudal court of magic and crystal
Pros/Cons of Feudal/’Modern’ philosophy. Upset court at invasion of external philosophy and inability to caste Oliver. ‘Hung’ court proceeding. Dungeon most logical outcome.
If co-authoring/editing this sounds like fun, or you think I am trying to do too much with this story simultaneously, (fair) PM or message me for links. Even if its just yapping about all the possibilities/ to nerd snipe me :)
