I started posting on RR last year. Had to take a break because I went off for training for about six months. Took me a while to get moved into my new area. Anyway, I'm trying to get back in the groove of writing again. I was wondering if there were any writers around here who might be based. I'm looking to maybe join a community (or start one if I have to) for writers with similar interests. I'd like to surround myself with writers who want to see society built up, writers who want to inspire truth, virtue, and humility in their readers.

I'm not a lone wolf, am I?

Welcome back!  Not sure if I'm based or not, but definitely want to build society up and inspire truth, virtue, and humility with my writing.  Probably have a long way to go as I'm still working on myself, though.

Working on yourself? Same here. I'm talking to my buddy about trying to put together a community or something. I'm not sure where the best place to host it would be.

Nice!  No idea if this is the site for it, as I only just got here myself, but it would be cool to get a community going of like minded folk for writing.

Yeah, I've tried doing Discord servers before, but I honestly don't like Discord. I find it hard to keep up with. Like, I can't just check in every time someone posts something, and eventually, the server just dies. I'm not a huge fan of Facebook, but I think it might be better, but I'd rather use something else.

Totally get that, there's not really a good site for creating groups anymore. 

I have a FB page, but it's really just a place to reach out and let people know when I post another chapter in my stories and, from what I've seen, that's the norm for writer pages.

But hey, if you can get a community off the ground here, I'd love to join.

Ah! That might be helpful. I just found a coalition of writers on another writing site. Is there anything like that here for RR?

Thanks! If I don't find one, I'll just build one. If that doesn't work, well... I guess I'll cross that bridge when I burn it!
