Games are the peak of progress.
Just as our animal body needs water and bread, our human soul needs art... and what is the peak of art, If not games?
The music, visuals, stories, interactivity, and competition. This, and more aspects, are all intertwined into a single, perfect being.
If not for the weakness of our crumbling shells, our only meaning would be to develop and nourish our souls... and there is no better alternative to gaming.
Oh, how woeful is our life of a slave to earthly limitations, where even the development of games takes years of sacrifice and hundreds of people...
If the games could just be created at a whim, then we finally could be saved and develop our most precious and core part of humanity.
Do remember - "A Man Chooses, a Slave Obeys."
Will you waste your life away, chasing after what is mundane, or will you rise up, enjoy your life, and game yourself into true enlightenment?
Gamers have rights, gamers have lives.

I clicked on this thread humorously saying "The most marginalized group in the world? Gamers!" to myself, only for the first thing I saw to be GAMERS in its bold, caps-locked glory.
Well done, good sir, for calling out the millennia of systemic abuse we've suffered as a people.
GLM, Gamer Lives Matter!

To the minority of people who really do think of games as anything less than a perfectly reasonable form of entertainment, i guess congrats being here in a website full of webnovels, clearly a much more justifiable use of your time???
If you're going to play games, be productive with it. Otherwise you're a loser. Take, like I said, Markiplier for example. Just one example out of thousands.
Yeah but how does having fun and being happy make someone a loser
If no one did anything to have fun and be happy we'd be North Korea
Would you extend the same logic though to people who read books for entertainment? Such as the ones we write? I only ask because if doing something for the sake of having fun makes someone a loser, then wouldn't our readers be losers?
Also, many of the people who work at Starbucks play video games when they're off work.
And I've already said that this is aimed towards the jobless. I'm fully aware that games even have 18+ age ratings. Otherwise, if you're not productive with it, you're a loser.
This thread is a pretty fun thread, but boy oh boy, you come off as someone horribly unpleasant to be around.

Idk why people bother in engaging with IT lol
I feel gaming is heavily popularized these days. The stigma attached isn't as bad as it was years ago, I find most adults I know play video games, hell my adoptive parents who are retired marines sit around playing Skyrim and Mass effect all day. My GF regularly plays Comp Plat healer n overwatch, and I'm basically a force multiplier in every shooter I play w/ like the exception of Destiny. Even a couple of us writers have a dedicated server group where we build bases and fight off zombies together while looting stuff.
If anything, gaming is more popular than ever. Hell, Destiny 2 has a ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR DLC and CiV Six has like 10 DLCs that are like 10 bucks each for just additional civilizations lol. The gaming industry is booming, and lets not even talk about Gacha games. Fate made like 1 billion dollars in revenu last year, and in college my entire English class formed a guild together lmao
It's the boomers that don't play video games you should be worried about. Playing vidya games is becoming the norm, we're already taking over, some ppl just aren't aware of it yet lmao.
