Re: I thought the site didn't allow porn...

Perhaps, since it seems you have no concept of what the legal definition of pornography is under US Constitutional law, it would help if you defined your terms, including "smut." I'm not familiar with other countries, but in the USA, again as a matter of constitutional law, what you just wrote is nonsense, meaning just that, it makes no sense. Maybe you should define "naughty bits" also. Basically, it seems  that you're trying to argue that any work with an explicit description of a sex act is "pornography." That's just wrong -- way wrong -- as in no way to have a reasonable conversation about it wrong since "pornography" is exempt from the First Amendment. The US government, and, therefore state governments also, can prohibit the publication of "pornography." There's simply no question that Sexy Space Babes is not "pornography" as defined by the US Supreme Court. If what you want is to argue that it should be banned by the terms of this website, then site the appropriate terms. Although, even there, it's much as others have said - what the site owner thinks trumps what you, I, or anyone else thinks. Period. And, if we don't like it, there's always another url!

I didn't. In fact I've already stated multiple times it's well written besides certain flaws.

You said "this shit."

I'm just saying that that wasn't very polite or nice.
I wasn't being literal. I just used the word 'shit' casually as a substitute for 'this thing'.

I'm not trying to make any enemies here. I wasn't trying to get on your case. I'm just saying it was unkind.

I did absolutely nothing of the sort.

EDIT: Btw, I don't get it why there are people here saying I 'roasteD' OP's story. I've left multiple comments saying this is not the case.

If you want to write a story from an unpopular point of view, you just send that to a different site instead. It's just a matter of knowing your audience.

You don't have to like it, but RR is THE SITE for webfic, lighthearted fantasy, and litrpg. Hard science fiction, Milfic, alternate history, certain types of erotica, and anything with a traditionalist bias is going to get trashed, not because it's bad fiction, but because this isn't the site for it.

So you take those kinds of stories someplace else. It's really that simple.
When I joined and posted in the introductions thread, it was mentioned that some diversity of content on the site would be nice, and I believe it was a mod who mentioned that. It's a bit extreme to say someone who doesn't conform to the most popular genre here will get 'trashed.' The other genre tags exist because ultimately, while Fantasy and litRPG are popular here, other books are valid and many here have diverse reading interests.

Royal Road is a site to post stories for people to enjoy for free. It happens to have a popular theme. That's really all there is to it. There aren't many trustworthy web novel sites out there, and many only promote romance, so there's very few places for things like science fiction and horror, for example. I feel like it would be a good thing for some diversity and less claiming that 'other' books will be trashed. (Genuinely not wanting to start an argument, these are just my two-cents. No anger/hard feelings meant.)
Not to mention one of the best books on the site (re:trailer trash) has nothing to do with traditional RR themes save for the time travel

Oh and ah, NO, this is not porn.
A story with porn is still porn.

The final chapter of Halo: Contact Harvest has two consecutive sex scenes. I never really thought of Halo as erotic fiction, but I guess I was wrong.

You mean this gem?

"She put her hands on Avery's shoulders and pushed him onto his back. Sitting astride his ankles, Jilan helped him with his pants. Then she crept upward, planted her hands on either side of Avery's head, and began to move.

Avery was instantly entranced by the back-and-forth sway of her bosom. He cupped the weight of her in his hands and knew at once he'd made a tactical error. The heavy roundness of Jilan's skin started an ache that crept up his legs and settled on the small of his back. All she had to do was squeeze, and a moment later he was spent."

And I was trying to be polite and not use the words 'hard core progressive bias' when describing the sort of books that will get trashed instantly. If you try and publish a book here that opposes that viewpoint, your book will be dashed before you can blink.

You cannot criticize popular sexual kinks, popular government styles, popular psychology, popular philosophy, or even popular science in some cases. Your fiction will be deemed 'problematic' and removed.

Once you understand the enforcement rules it is easy to write for RR. If you have a story who's integrity requires you to throw those rules away, you had best publish it elsewhere or risk censure. It's that simple, and it is NOT an argument.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I don't see why the mods would remove stories from the site because the fictional settings (unless it's a real world setting?) feature themes that aren't consistent with mainstream political narratives.

I mean...books like Starship Troopers is like almost borderline fascist propaganda and I can't see the mods removing something like that from the site. Ultimately it's just fiction.

Oh no, no no no, can we not turn this into another "Woke SJW radical feminist Royal Road mods are censoring my favorite alt-right novels for daring to oppose their woke liberal indoctrination" threads that eventually gets closed and deleted?

We already had someone do two of these threads trying to get his fiction on here, saying that that was the reason why the mods wouldn't allow it on Royal Road. I went ahead and read and reviewed his fiction, and it was nothing but unsettling revenge fantasy against caricatures of political groups he didn't like. These "Why is my fiction/comments/reviews being targeted by the mean Royal Road mods/readers/authors?" threads always turn out the exact same way, so can we just not do this?

Personally, I prefer fiction that has absolutely nothing to say politically and only exists for entertainment. I don't like being preached to by anyone of any political persuasion. I've just never personally felt like I needed authors, celebrities, or musicians to teach me morality.
