Theater style, with me playing all the characters at the same time. Sometimes I even gesture around irl XD

It's a mix for me.
When imagining sceneries, I often imagine 4k backgrounds. When I'm imagining characters, I just end up imagining them as normal people. When imagining fight scenes, I usually imagine them in anime-style. Mostly because I can't imagine decent live-action SFX that doesn't seem cheesy.

I have aphantasia, so I don't have any visuals in my head at all.
I just kind of write anyways?

For other people's writings, Its pretty hazy. For my own writings though it's incredibly clear. In fact, I make sure to imagine the scene that I'm currently writing, with a lot of detail. I'll then try to generalize the feeling of the scene and scenery into something more consumable for others to read and imagine for themselves.
Although action scene's are all hats off. Especially when environmental elements are involved. Getting that feeling and setting right are really important to me.

Usually I get it in a style similar to what I'd been watching lately. Otherwise I get photorealistic images so vividly that they are all I can see. Sometimes I will actually watch something of a certain style so that I can better capture it by coloring my inner view with that style.

It’s like trying to watch a movie in a smoke-filled room tbh. The visuals I get are realistic, but that said I rarely get visuals to begin with and when I do, they’re heavily obscured.
