I'm not sure how great of an achievement it is to do this or even if it's difficult, but it felt really cool.  I read way more than I write, and I often peruse the rising stars in order to find fun new stories and authors.  It just feels so cool being amongst them.

I got into Rising Stars and rose from 80 to around 250 in a week. It's definitely worth it to be up there.

Congratulations! It absolutely is a huge accomplishment, and as you start to climb you'll find that you get a lot more attention. You should totally be proud!

One thing to remember: You'll probably also draw some troll-fire. I didn't get any low ratings until I got on rising stars, but I got several as I started to climb. Those ratings don't mean beans, they're just people with a mad-on. Don't pay any attention to 'em and do focus on the new readers who enjoy what you're giving them.
