#1What is that thing that you hate seeing in novels?

+ Rape and sexual assault

+ Unnecessary descriptions repeated all over the work
+Little or no creativity

Fight scenes that bore me and don't explain whats happening at all. I get you don't want to write blow by blow but give me something for god's sake.

Eh, I think my tolerance is high, but I hate to see unformatted walls of text.
Just... how hard is it to hit 'enter' a few times?

An extreme example that made me laugh online, but I've seen similar atrocities here.

Realistically speaking it is way too common, so to act like it doesn't exist is kind of stupid. It's when rape or sexual assault gets descriptive that I put the book in the trash. What is that thing that you hate seeing in novels?+ Rape and sexual assault

Being on hiatus or dropped. Or if the author has several others in those statuses.

Sadly, as part of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, I have no advice on this. Clearly, there is a circle of women somewhere that specialises in communication via breasts as I've seen "breasts swinging in agreement" mentioned more than once as well.

Yeah, overly sexual descriptions turn me away as well as too many fights with little stakes and blow by blows.
The prologue about thousand year old elf history. Weird that this happened at least thrice.

Inconsistency and Deux ex Machina. if a plot doesn't make sense or the author has to make the impossible happen to save the MC then it's bye-bye book.

LitRPG—> Just seeing this is enough. Read my fair share.
Sexual Content—> Not at all.
Harem—> Just seeing this is enough. Maybe when I was younger, I wouldn’t mind. Though, as I got older. I can see how it can be offensive, and I rather not be a part of the contributing factor.
Cultivation and its variations—> I tried to like it, but…it is just so boring. If you ever see me rating one of those high, it is because I am doing a give away, and trying to be fair. I don’t do review swaps anymore, so whatever is there is from a bit back.
FanFiction—> While I have a tolerance, I will never read one, ever. I just support those who write it, but I will not contribute by reading them.
Now as to further break it down, lacking in skillful prose. Sure, it does not have to be always. Though, more often than not. I will see the first chapter pretty good, then the rest of the story is crap. They should be fortunate I am not unreasonable, and rate em low for that deception. I tend not to rate, or rate on the higher end of things.

Systems. Yeah, I really do not give a damn about systems. If I see it, I am out. It is boring, not engaging, and frankly there are better ways to write than shoving this in the face. You can write a story alluding to a type of system, without getting into the useless details.
To cut things short, I have a wide range of dislikes. On the plus end, I am not so unreasonable as to shred a story to pieces. So, I guess the good with the bad huh.

When the characters make logically bad decisions with no extenuating circumstances. I have a brain and I expect the fictional characters I read about to have and utilise one too.

Poor grammar, repetitions and misused words. Usually when I see any of these on the first page or chapter, I don't even get far un enough to see anything else.
