I'm sitting around 42K so I'll cross the finish line next Monday or Tuesday if all goes well.

Yes, but I was referring to my post being premature.

Once I finish my newest chapter and edit it I'll be complete as well. I went from panicking that I wouldn't finish in time to realizing I had 2 weeks for 4k words and I had already written 3 of those.

I'm at 56K today. I'll be shooting for higher also.

Will be crossing the threshold tomorrow/today. After a disaster of a week, I'm surprised that I even made it here, haha.

A Pirate's Life for Mei just hit 56k to qualify. With 2 dramatic chapters leading up to the climax. Fuck me it feels good to cross the line and relax a bit. 

Until tomorrow. lol. Now to get The Merchant qualified too...

At this point I'm uncertain if I'm gonna hit the required word count. I know I technically could make it, but the rigorous schedule drained me a bit, I also used up most of the material I had thought out in my head, so I need more time to get the creative juices flowing. More planning time is needed. 

I'll still try tho.

Right now don't really know🤦‍♂️ with today's chapter I'll be at 43k I think, but the last 12k seems so hard especially with uni

I reached 55k and I'm not as far into my story as I'd like to be, looks like its going to be over 100k again. 

Hit it today. 

Not going to lie, I did a little happy dance which thoroughly confused my dogs. 

Now the edit begins. No more will the earliest chapters have the grace of a drunken toddler!

Awesome, well done! I'm on about 52k published, but will cross 55 with the next two chapters (I'm doing 1 per day). They just need some light edits and they'll be up. This is on my 2nd RR story, "Just how bad can a sorcerer's...."

So I feel great about that. I found the Writathon much better (and harder) than NaNoWriMo in the sense that you can't just write anything, you need to get it ready to be seen by readers! A great experience. - JFD

I'm over 55k! Still gonna post a few more updates, but wow. I honestly had zero expectations of making it to the finish line at all, and here I am, crossing it early. Who'd have thought?

Just hit 55k now! Have one more chapter that I am editing for Saturday to hit 60k, then I am done! A week's break well earned.
