There was once a boy without a care in the world
A life of comfort and probably free like a bird
Though he can't remember, what a shame.
To see life vanish without a cause,
For he has no one to blame.
A skeleton offers him a second life but with a clause
To the calcium life form, it's just a game.

He wakes up in a strange new world to find out he's a girl
He finds out his heart is made of a pearl.
Enter the fiend or ghost, who knows?
Only it knows who, what, why, how.

Life is great, or at least it seems.
For lurking in the shadows, is a man who dreams of home.
Ruthless and relentless,
he'll show no fear.
He acts humble and nice, but it's all a facade.
Before him all are small, prepare as he draws near.
Beware the madness of the god,
and kneel before the one, that is The World.

Man, that was fun. I know you've already read it, but I couldn't help it. I like writing in rhymes.

A tower reaches so high it touches the heavens
Did they create it, or did the humans
Can't be, otherwise God will roar his lightning down
And spread the ashes of the lost society all around

On the first floor, a man named Kauss wants to sleep
However, life begs him to stand on his feet
He must fight on to survive
In a world so cruel it would leave even the best to die

He and his friends shall climb
Reach the very top and pray of paradise
A reason to live is all they want
But the tower could very well silence all thought

Victor starts a journey that you will see.
His travel takes him abroad technically.
Feeling lost in a new land.
This trip could be boring or quite grand.

Without skills or magic life could be hard.
His only tool is a playing card.
His main goal is not to die.
Something most people would try.

Discoveries of this world are had so repeat and rinse.
As he struggles to learn this place's common sense.
Horrible things that still follow the law.
In his eyes, it's nothing but a social flaw.

So as his challenge make him feel wrecked.
With his one card will he get decked?
And with no desire in this world to stay.
He finds he has to live day by day.

His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin'
What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's chokin', how, everybody's jokin' now

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

You just got Rick rolled
See in life you gotta be bold

My Mc be like that
Not meek like a cat

I suck at rhyming
But if you like my shit we chiming

So check it out
And go all out

Somewhere in the Reagan years
A boy had to hide his tears
As his last friend moved across the land
Leaving his social life canned

However, when he was at his least
A girl came from the distant east
Showing him new kinds of fun
Which soon as him on the run

,After his sister and from the mob,
And he learns the hardest job
just might be, being a brother
Especially when his sister is such a bother.

Well, I now remember why I gave up poetry on my sixteenth.

Daaaayuuum, these are tasty. I think I've expanded my "read later" list. Where's the clap emoji?

Look, I don't even have a chapter up yet and I suck at poetry, but I've been convinced to procrastinate moar participate. If you laugh, you must do so in rhyme. Them's the rules!

The Lion and the Crow

Deep in the desert gleaming
Slept a blackened crow
‘neath the earth she lay dreaming
And above the moon did glow.

The lion came upon the dreamer
And gazed upon her sleeping brow
Eros struck his heart and pierced it
Mercy he was without.

The lion did take the dreamer
To his home across the sea
The crow flew ever beside him
Though her heart was not at ease.

In the city of a thousand suns
Where the moon did not hold sway
The crow diminished beneath the sons
Of Helios to waste away.

The lion fought a valiant battle
Though his strength soon came to wane
And the crow became something other
And gave herself away.
(And gave herself away.)

Now alone the lion ever walks
Over a burning land
His eyes cast toward the sky
An empire in the sand.

I lied, the trilogy is actually called The Stormcrow Cycle, but animal motifs are fun.

Taken against his will,

the story starts with a bit of thrill.

Though, David quickly learns he’s very out of place,

when Youkai and Samurai are presented to his face.

In the end, his decision is easy.

After all, thinking about his problems always makes him queasy…

Even if he keeps getting messages about [Redacted is watching you].

Just enjoy what is about to ensue.

(I enjoyed this more than I thought I would)

This is the legend of Logan Hall
Whose story started with a rather big fall
Taken from Earth by gods on high and low
Now the spoils of progression he must reap and sow

Avanar seeks to kill him outright
Though at first he tries to hide out of sight
Before long magi find out his power
Their hatred they would soon shower

Surviving against both beast and man
Logan will do the best he can
Taking up what power he can muster
He aims to return to his father to end his fluster

I've never written poetry before, so here goes xD

A wandering portal mage without a home
seeks a family to call his own.
A changeling thief lost at sea
will take him to the oberon tree.
A Holy Knight suffers in shame
the changeling and mage are to blame.
An outlaw librarian is on the run
never to cease until his quest is done.
A Sentinel will hunt for all of time
until the outlaw pays for his crime.
A bishop plots to start a crusade
unless his people's souls can be swayed.
Six paths will collide soon
at the Festival of the Azure Moon.

Eric! Always promoting poetry! Love your work.

What makes a bard the kind of figure you could call a bard?
How can a boy become a man who you can't disregard?
Well there is intrigue to be found and magic to be cast,
So join me on his journey to become one unsurpassed.

...I mean, that's more of a projection into the future that keeps things vague, but the words flowed (and this is why I mostly stick to non-rhyming stuff haha)

Camilla Wilde,
Strange as a child,
Hopes to never grow up.
It's her second year of college,
but her studies haven't budged.

Instead of fixing this dilemma,
She starts a campus club.

Freakspotters is for all the fans
Of what can't be explained
It's part of her little plan
To gush without being shamed

Because Cami loves the strange
Especially from space
Nothing beats UFOs
At putting a smile on her face

But this club and its members
Are more than meets the eye
And while aliens haven't come down
Others shed their disguises

Vampires, werewolves, witches, and fey
Reveal themselves, and take the stage
They want to make the town safe
For magical beings galore.
This story's quirky, campy, and gay
But who knows what these beasts have in store?
Check out FREAKSPOTTERS if you want to find out more! <3

(whew. im not proofreading this but I hope you enjoyed haha)

From our world to another
three chumps and their guardian was brought to the other

Foretold to be the second heroes

but they don't even have any powers

But Martyn, the white fox and the leader
proposed something else to the ruler

By naught being a gallant wayfaring adventurers
but by becoming the kingdom's pillars

Unknown to the white fox
Unforeseen dangers has plunged to him, his chumps, and guardian

So now, he must defend his chumps and guardian
Surviving until the void itself arrives.
