Looking for review swap targets that fit these criterias

#1
Hello, I'm looking for novels to perform review swap with, but I'm slightly picky with what I like to read.

Basically, I'm into books that follow these types of traits:

- Focus on character: I'm not a person who cares too much about lore, world-building, or walls of backstory and exposition, just give me a character that is fun to follow and I'm set.

- No sex: I like romance but I'm mostly more about watching two lovers living their lives and interacting with each other than being forced to sit through explanations and details of their performance on bed. If you have a story where many of its chapters involve descriptions about people touching each other for long periods of time, I'm not your audience.

- Dialogue (optional): I love watching people talking but I'm aware that this might not always be the best of idea in a book, so this one is just a personal preference rather than a requirement, but if your novel happens to have tons of talking, do feel more than free to recommend it.

- No self-praising on your oc: This might be my most important requirement. Please don't show me a story that is nothing but telling how amazingly perfect, and awesome, and a gift from God to men kind your main lead is. I'm not interested in reading about characters that can defeat entire armies with a flick of their fingers, or someone who becomes a billionaire after two days just because they were born as some sort of genius, or who are loved and envied by all the characters around them and end up with a bazilian lovers.

Just give me someone with an interesting personality or an interesting struggle to overcome.

I'm the one who will decide whether or not I'll like your main lead. Please don't have your story saying over and over how much I should love them by telling all the things they are good at.

That's about it, I think. Feel free to recommend your story if you think it fits what I'm looking for. My novel is in the signature.

Warning! The number of chapters you take to read before doing a review of my book will NOT affect the amount it takes for me to read. Feel free to make a review whenever you feel like you got a good idea of how you feel about my book. You can do it after reading two chapters or eighty chapters, your choice.

I'm just gonna follow my own system, going to do my review after feeling like I know what the novel is about and have a good grasp on what I think about it.

Also my reviews will not be devoid of negative criticisms. If I feel your book has flaws, I will point them out. I will of course try my best to point out the good parts of it as well.

Reviewing waiting list:

Adagio of the Enlightened
Red Mist
Moonstruck

Constructive feedback = negative critisms, right?
Ah... No, that's not actually it... Constructive criticism is about giving feedback that will help improve the reading experience. It's not just about pointing out the problems in it, its about also trying to help saying on how to improve them, as well as pointing out things that are positive to let the author know what works and what doesn't nd why they do or don't work.

If you think you can provide a review like this, then yes! I would love to swap with you.

I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thing, so yes! I'll be reading yours throughout the weekend!

I think my novel can fall under those criteria, especially the character-driven part since that is what I am going for (as hard as that is haha).
Would you be interested in a novel review swap? I can give yours a try if you are :)
Let me post the synopsis here (novel in signature). My novel is a slow-burn, character-driven, non-harem, slice-of-life web novel with cultivation and kingdom-building elements.
Let me know if it catches your eyes! ^-^

Quote:The Elders will tell you the stories and lore. Of our ancestors, their deeds, and of the foes of yore. They will praise to you the chariot, and how it flew to the stars. How it stole the sun's light and slew the night’s roar.

The Shamans will tell you the tales of their wisdom. Their wars on schism, and the unlettered world of ours before. Perhaps they will sing you the songs of what our clans' ancient customs tore. Poems of how our ancestors took what the discs had offered them, the manna and the mundane, and made it more.

The kings will tell you of the follies, the sins, and the anecdotes of all our ancestors' wrongs. They will curse to you their names, the Ender of Fate and the Ruined Song. How they had dug up the hearts of the discs, euchred its relics, and blasphemed its prophecies, with oracles withdrawn.

But they will only tell you the legends, recount the myths, and sing the allegories washed ashore.

The Elders, the Shamans, and the kings can only retell what the storytellers of their own time had voiced. What they have read in books or heard in the minstrels' songs they adore.

They don't know what really happened. They were never there.

They can't tell you how our ancestors slew the angels from the sky, and sent them back to where they belonged. How they poisoned our minds, and made our people slothful and feeble, with the reforms they had undergone.

But I can.

I can tell you how the Ender of Fate severed destiny's strings, weakened them, and weaved them to our feeble flesh and souls.

I can tell you how the Ruined song razed the heavens with her blood-stained melody, and reshaped our hell into utopia, with the deaths she deplored.

Because I was there. I can tell you the truth, with my virtue strong.

Sure, I'll check it out after Lethal combo and World won't let me die.

Quote:I believe that both of my fictions qualify for this. Message me if either one looks adorable to you.

Yeah, Red mist seems cute. Gonna check it after Adagio, after Won't let me die, after Lethal combo

Keep in mind you guys are also free to review swap with each other btw.

Hello! I am looking to do a review swap for either my most recent shortstory post 'Trouble in Station Liophage' or my on-hold story 'Moonstruck' (chapter 1).

Based on your criteria, the on-hold story may be more fitting your desire to focus on a character, however I feel the shortstory is close, but does definitely focus more on what's happening around the character.

Im happy to read a few chapters of your book for the purposes of giving honest feedback.
