Hey there, the name is Slaynoir. Or Ally if you prefer, whichever suits your taste.
So basically I'm a 28 (29 soon!) year shut in that is basically a nervous wreck of a human being that somehow manages to survive in human situations. So with that being said, I'm quirky and highly interested in how humans connect to one another in all sorts of ways. I talk like I'm not one of them ha! But seriously, I'm looking merely for approval and interest. I won't get to heavy on the details, but my life has been one flop after another and I'm pretty lame in that sense. However, I love thinking way too much and my social awkwardness doesn't get me in to much issue (mostly) when I'm behind a screen. You wouldn't even know I suffer from such silly issues honestly.
Anyways. I love a good challenge and am like I said, very eccentric. My main fan-fic fandoms are from anime/manga, though I could try others if I felt like it, I simply just cannot seem to always be able to relate to others in a sense so forgive me for my musings at times. I've really accomplished nothing in my life, though saying that makes me feel more inclined to try and fix that.
I love drawing, writing, and the usual nonsense a human enjoys. Though I lack BY FAR in the trending arena, and like a lot of obscure anime/manga and topics. I know a lot of random useless information, but I also like to learn and improve in any way of sense making purposes. So feel free to come at me with your own ideas, I sure do love those little buggers.
I also have my own original set of stories that are not fanfic. If you're curious just ask, I'd love to show you.
~Slaynoir

Welcome! That's... A lot of info. 😅 And a lot of fics, so you've clearly got a good range of experience writing already.

Here's my usual copy-paste advice. A lot of it is related to visibility on RR, but there's some other useful things too. I'm not sure how much of it applies to fanfic though.
  • Get your fiction link(s) into your signature (when approved). There's an auto generate but also some guides if you want to customise it. Also every forum post has a tick box to click to show it.
  • Visibility in RR is pretty decent, but don't expect lots of readers straight away. Readers here like longer works so the longer you've been posting the more readers you'll pick up.
  • Don't dump any backlog all at once, really you probably don't want to post more than one chapter a day, because that gives you maximium exposure via the latest updates page. But honestly you want a release schedule you can keep up without burning out. Readers like a consistent schedule. So be realistic about how much you can write, it doesn't matter how fast/slow that is, being consistent is most important imo.
  • Readers tend to be pretty quiet as well. So if you're specifically looking for feedback maybe head over to the reviewing subforum to organise some comment swaps.
  • Otherwise just nosey about the forums. Lots of social and writing discussions. Also the recommendations subforum has lots of good reads narrowed by specific tastes. Also there's a subforum within it for self promo.
  • Here's Gej's handy guide to RR's rep system. https://www.royalroad.com/forums/thread/109297
I hope you enjoy RR and your fiction finds an audience.

Welcome to Royal Road. Glad you found your way here. Quite an impressive range of genres you write. The FAQ's under Support provide a good overview of the site. As an artist you should check out the Art section of the Forums. Lot of good work there and you can post some of your own as well. I see you're already active in the Forums which is great. That's one of the best ways to interact with the community. The other is to comment on any stories you read. Hope you enjoy being here and that your work draws many readers. Good luck.

I sure will! I love me some good writing. :3 I submitted not too long ago so hopefully they'll get back to me in the meanwhile.

I'm  pretty through and through person, so I when I write about anything of importance, I tend to go into detail lol Oh and those are just my fandoms I've about 10 actual stories in the works that are not, including my main series called Legacy of Zellennaa.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I'm not quite sure how to make covers yet but I'm going to see how if able. :3 And I write more than fandom, I've A TON of other stories that range from every genre I can get my hands on.

Think that is true for a lot of us. I know how much I value that too! Probably why peer pressure is such a powerful force.

Anyways, hope you find a healthy source of approval and that you enjoy your time here!
