Re: [Admin] Author Premium Pageviews

Author Premium pageview analytics has been changed to exclude views by the author; you may see a lower pageview count than expected. This is not a bug; we've simply found that authors care very little for views they generate on their own fictions and for low view-count fictions it may skew the numbers a touch too much.

Due to caching, the change may take until tomorrow to show on your General Analytics page.

UPDATE: Due to a bug, referrers and chapter pageviews not only excluded your own pageviews, but also the views of users not logged in. This has been now corrected, so a lot more referrers should show up in the analytics, and if you keep track of your pageviews yourself, numbers will be off.

To clarify, was this already ignored in the standard view count (from non-premium Fiction Summary) and count badges?

Thanks.

Yes, for a long time. Author Premium analytics on the other hand stores all views and does filtering after-the-fact.
