Re: Stories with 100% consistent updates

Well, my Moonblood has material ready to go for literally months in advance, and I can't think of any reason for a hiatus. My Transposition might have the occasional brief scheduled break between arcs, but I won't be missing scheduled posts.

Other than that, I'm seeing regular posts by these from my own Follow list:

It's hard to know what to suggest with only the one criterion and no idea of preferences.

Can confirm. Part of the reason I started a Patreon was that it would force me to keep a consistent update schedule. Otherwise I would fall off the wagon as my motivation dried up; not through any fault of the story, but because that's my personality. I still enjoy the writing and creating the story, but keeping up motivation for anything in the long-term is difficult for me to do. I imagine it's the same for a good number of other writers who have Patreons.

(I mean, besides the money.)

I kept consistent updates for so, so long. For ATL, I updated 2x a week (then later 3x a week) consistently for about 18 months straight, then went on a planned hiatus... but the hiatus went longer than planned and then it was hard to get back into it now; now I can only post 1x a week, but it'll be consistent like that for a very long time going forward.

For Hands Held in the Snow, at least, I did update consistently x2 a week for 9 months, start to finish! But of course it's finished so not really something to recommend for this thread. I'm just proud of consistent updates even when I didn't make any money off of it.

Void Herald (has two ongoing stories that all follow a set schedule without any unscheduled hiatus, and two completed stories) and Mecanimus also seems pretty consistent. I think most of the authors with a large number of patreons are pretty consistent, I don't tend to usually too strictly pay attention to their schedules to be 100% sure of all of them.

Personally, I refuse to reopen my old Patreon page. They have proven themselves to be an unreliable business partner. Until RR allows SubscribeStar or some other option for similar payment options I will refrain from promoting my story from "hobby, for when I have free time", to actual "paying work that I prioritize".

That said, here are stories that I follow that have consistent releases:

Azarinth Healer

The Way Ahead

An Outcast In Another World (Subtitle: Is 'Insanity' A Racial Trait?)

System Change

Do you mind if I ask what is wrong with Patreon? I ask because, when the time finally comes, I plan to monetize with Patreon.

Hi
lurker_21 Wrote: I don't care if it's been on hiatus before as long as the hiatus was scheduled.

I post every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Demesne, my MWF story, has already been recommended, so I'll recommend my Sunday story,  Ainōryoku Sentai Nightmærangers. It's a superhero story about monsters suddenly appearing in an ordinary city and the people who've suddenly developed eldritch abomination, mind-altering body horror powers trying to do good and fight the monsters while looking like the very monsters they fight.

Well, aside from mine (which I can guarantee will update regularly because of my back log and should be in my signature), here are a couple others (yes, most are on patreon) that I've noticed had consistent updates that I don't think I've haven't seen on here:
-The Primal Hunter (currently finishing up a 2 week break, their 1st since September)
-He Who Fights With Monsters (looking on Patreon it does look like this volume is finishing up, so I'm not 100% sure what will happen then)
-Morcster Chef
-Salvos
-The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (releases around 14 chapters every two weeks pretty consistently)
Beware of Chicken you're guaranteed a couple of releases a week, so it's consistent, but I'm never really certain what day it will come.
