Hello, my name is Virgil F Thompson, financially decrepit and mostly delirious author. I actually ended up writing by accident (don't ask me how, its a convoluted tale that involves a fair bit of mid-life crisis) anyways, I  joined Royal Road and am starting a new project. A Poor Day For Digging Graves. I know, its a badass name for a mediocre story, but come read if you like!

Welcome. I'd recommend getting a link to your fiction in your signature - especially if you plan on being active in the forums. There's an auto generate button that'll put your cover in too. Also, every writer started somewhere so don't worry too much about initial quality and focus on the good things and take on board any feedback people give. A fiction doesn't have to be technically flawless to be enjoyable.

I hope you enjoy RR and your fiction finds an audience.

Welcome,

Your customized introductory package includes:
  1. As Cinn mentioned, https://www.royalroad.com/account/signature has a new feature to auto-generate a signature for your fictions, it's based on Xian's detailed signature creation guide (https://www.royalroad.com/forums/thread/107061) just in case you want to do something more advanced in it by hand.
  2. One already dug up, perhaps that makes it a zombie, but it's not really moving much DrakanPotato  ℝ𝕖𝕡-𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕠™.
Happy Writing!

Welcome to Royal Road. "A Convoluted Tale that Involves a Fair Bit of Mid-life Crisis" could be your next book. Title's a tad long, but you could break it up into a title and subtitle. Then again, it would also be a good name for a group of folk-singers. To add to Cinn's excellent advice, write what you enjoy and have fun with it. It may not be perfect, but you'll get better as you write. Check out the FAQ's under Support for more information about the site. You can always ask questions in the Forums. I hope you enjoy your writing experience here and that your work entertains many readers. Good luck.

Hi, welcome to the site. Looking at your fiction, I noticed a handful of spelling errors in the blurb/synopsis. If you ran it through a spellchecker, it should catch them. I highly recommend doing this, or your blurb might turn readers away rather than lure them in.
