In a similar vein, let me tell you the mountain folk tale about the hiker and the Christian Bear

It seems this foolish, out-of-town hiker was alone in the woods when he came upon a bear
Now, this wasn't any ordinary bear, no siree Bubba.

This bear was hungry... no, not just hungry...

Hooooongery!!

So the hiker starts running, but looking over his shoulder, he realizes the bear's gaining.
He knows he can't outrun it.
In desperation, he falls to his knees, clasps his hands together, and as he looks to the sky, says,
"Oh lord, let this be a Christian Bear'.

A miracle happens.

The Bear drops to its knees beside the hiker
clasps its paws together,
Looks up at the sky and says:

"Oh lord, for this which we are about to receive, let us give thanks..."
