So, reading the site's Support FAQ yet again, and I notice this, which I think is new:

If you're an established author and want to have a shot at trending (because you're gonna get a bunch of follows/faves on release day) they recommend you not do the usual advice and put out only one chapter a day, but rather do a mass release start to get up word count because there's an effectively a minimum length penalty (too short, drops trending rank) for trending.
