Worst possible premise for a story? lol Easy. Meet generic person #1, generic person #1 simply exists, constantly unconscious, never dreaming, and never doing anything or having anything done to him/her/it. This state continues forever and never changes. The end. lol

1000 word short story

Supernaturaly strongest person on Earth goes on about his daily life normally, hiding his powers for no real reason, getting into misunderstandings because of it and in order to create a plot for the story, because there will be no actual plot. It will be just him trying to resolve the misunderstandings without revealing his powers, causing more missunderstandings in the process. 

This will create a feedback loop which can progress the story endlessly. To make it easier on the psyche, he will have "character development" moments, where it will really just be his powers growing, but that won't really matter as he won't be using them much overall. Who needs character development after all? The readers signed up for the main character they met at the first chapter, so the character shall remain the same throughout the novel.

In random parts there will also be important developments in the story, which will make the reader think this isn't a waste of time, but soon after the incredibly amazing event will be forgotten and put aside as everything returns to its normal routine. I mean, the readers aren't able to remember what happened a dozen or so chapters ago, so why should the author? 

All of this will keep the reader guessing as to whether this is worth reading for an amazing payoff at the end, only it will be just teasing and fakeouts.

The projected length of this story would be approximately 1500 chapters and the main character will be the same person at the end as he was in the beginning, only with more harem members, and no more antagonists left alive after Gary Stue finishes wiping the floor with them.

Heh, im outlining such story now. But it's gonna be really good, I promise.

Basically, the mc already defeated the demon king, and was sent back to earth. But life on earth is boring, they are lonely, and they have war ptsd now. So they use a blood ritual sacrificing their friend and their own life to re-do it, and this time stay in isekai forever. Thinking it's gonna be a breeze, having knowledge of the system and future events.

But upon being summoned, things are different than the mc remembers! The demon lord was already summoned several years ago, and is about to conquer the wold. Several major npcs are dead, and the people summoned among the mc are different from the previous squad. What's worse, the mc's alignment is now evil, and no one trusts them.

I hope that was ironic . If not - go do it anyway - because there must be people out there who care for 'standard deviation from isekai hero vs demon king #5123356...'.

Personally:

1. Stories where the MC has a harem and the MC is as interesting as a wet spaghetti noodle and the harem goes crazy for the MC

2. The MC with godlike abilities and then losing on purpose to make himself look better among his fellow students or sth.

3. Isekais where they get reborn with Insta god level powers but then hide their abilities. Bruh just go to the demon king and Dr Manhattan him already. 

4. Anything that has NTR

This might just be the greatest writing prompt ever. Every time I try think of a terrible idea to post my brain starts figuring out interesting ways to expand upon it. Normally when I try write I take an interesting concept and make it boring af 😂

Wait no that actually sounds kinda cool, but yeah story told from the perspective of an inanimate object who literally sits there and does nothing the entire story.

Not exactly a premise, but a character.

Someone who is full weeb and uses that to explain his sadistic obsessions. Now that may sound good at first hand, but it's not when the author uses anime terms and names to describe everything... which would be tolerable if it wasn't for the worst show don't tell rule breaking.

A game developer hates 'girly' games and makes an otome game out of spite for the genre. But then he enters a coma from hitting his head on the side-walk when he ninja-dodged Truck-kun, and wakes up in the shitty game he made, and is reborn as the main villainess of the story. 

The game is full of really shallow love interests whose main characteristics is being abusive (because the only romance our game dev knew about was, like, fifty shades of grey bc someone gushed about it and the cringe traumatized him). Everyone rightfully hates the villainess, and the only way out of the game is to somehow survive the minefield that is 6 creepy, two-faced dudes trying to kill him to score popularity points with the über-shallow heroine who is like a charicature of all shittily written heroines ever. Somehow, he's gotta survive until the end of the year ball when the game ends..
