For Authors: Post your story promotion as a reply to this thread.
You can get creative, or you can just post the description, image(if available) and your word count. But most importantly your Royal Road fiction link.
Note: This is somewhat of a first-come, first-served basis, as the earlier you reply, the more likely your description will be read first. Which is why this new thread for self-promotions is going to be monthly based(to not overflow it). At the start of the next month, we will have a new thread, and you can promote your story there again.
For Readers: Did you want more lists to find stories from? well... here is another one, give the stories a shot!
You can connect over coffee. Connect through pain. Connect with someone's smile or with their tears.
It can be that simple.
But sometimes it's not.
Feel free to leave a comment/feedback 🥰.
Magic cannot be given away or rejected; it is as permanent as life itself. Not that I'd know anything about that. Magic is both impossible to obtain and illegal for commoners like me.
So when I unexpectedly witnessed a brutal, deadly confrontation between two nobles, I assumed that was the closest to magic I'd ever get. Until I woke up the next morning with the unmistakable glow of power in my blood.
Unprepared to navigate the nobility's endless maze of deception, strained alliances, and boring parties, my only hope is to hide who I am and somehow discover the truth of what happened that bloody night.
And, more importantly, why.
Currently around 100k, probably going to end up in the 120-130k range if I had to guess. Though it keeps finding new ways to get bigger, so I can't make any promises. ;)
If you didn't already hear, The Enhanced Beings Collective is an original superhero web-series inspired by comics such as The New Teen Titans (the 80s version, hell yerr!), The Umbrella Academy, Saga, The X-Men and The Walking Dead et al. If you like things from the Marvel/DC repertoire then this could definitely maybe be for you. You could even join the *exclusive* club of followers currently following. ;) I've still got room on one hand to count you in if you're quick!
You'll find different COF (characters of focus) and plots interweaving with each other over the first 'season'. If you've missed the last 16 issues you can catch up on the events that can be summed up in these words:
Tuna sandwich. Fights. Scooby Doo. Brazil.
Meteors. Friends. Rock.
Renaissance art. Pistachio ice cream.
800 so far in 70(+character/glossary) chapters.

Character-driven sci-fi space opera set in approximately the 29th century AD (or 3rd century UC) in a setting where humanity is united under an interstellar Federation past its zenith. The story follows a young Victoria Happ-Schwarzenberger through a first-person narrative as she follows in her father's footsteps and enlists in the Metropolitan Space Navy in events that will change her course forever.
The story also follows the cool Madame Scarface, a lieutenant serving under a bona fide pirate republic ruled by her ruthless adoptive father nestled in the outer hinges of Federation authority. Her narrative similarly follows her struggles that intertwines with Victoria.
Sci-fi (a combination of I think hard, soft and it just works™)
- Traumatising content
- waifus you want to protecc
- Female leads
- Space Opera
- War and Military
- Multiple Lead Characters
- There are mainly three characters (Li, Victoria, and later Alexandra) with a number of side/minor characters. MCs will be written in first person, and non-MCs have limited third person povs.
- Something of an anime-styled light novel; there'll be some illustrations I commissioned from various artists for chapters here and there.
- Word count may vary from 1,000~6,000 per chapter. I tend to try and release at least one chapter per week, maybe twice.
I write a mostly slow-pace dungeon story, but the tropes don't stop there. My non-human protagonist is an isekai'd human, it's just oh so original! Enough with the sarcasm though, I do try to keep everything unique for the most part. This ain't a dungeon core story, instead our somewhat efficient protag is the dungeon master, an oddly welcome job considering his job literally asks him to kill the willing people entering his dungeon.
That's right. It's his job.
Far gone are the days where dungeons appear for no good reason, and here I introduce a story with a logical background for the appearance and tolerance of dungeons. Not everyone is perfectly happy with their appearances though, but surely calling them terrorists and hunting them down will put a rest to their disruptive acts. In this world dungeons are economical boons, helping not only the little people but those at the top. The only problem is that... Well, seems like being from Earth has its downsides.
Come and check out this story. Worst case scenario it just doesn't work for you and we go our seperate ways, right?
A somewhat new man in the writing scene
ASTREA is the place where New World, the Virtual Reality game, takes place.
It is a fantasy story on how a world perceived as a game created by the people, blends in together on another reality where supposedly everything is real. As our protagonist finds her time inside the game as important as outside, secrets of what she thinks are just a game begins to show.
There are two protagonists which means two points of views and conflict from each one. The plot moves slowly but smoothly as I try to build both worlds to make sense.
The merging of their stories will come later as they realize it while they resolve the problems on their side.
Volume 1 has just finished, so that's that. It would be nice if you give it a try...

Title: Rising Wind
Kal has trained to be a soldier his entire life. His days are simple, and his duties clear: enforce the rules, upkeep the peace, and most important — police the elementals. If they step out of line, the Governance system corrects it.
But when Kal encounters a young boy whom he suspects might be an illegal earthborn, he can’t bring himself to report him. Despite his training and the advice of friends, he decides to help him onto what he believes is the right path. This choice lands him in more trouble than he bargained for, and he soon discovers that the veneer the Governance is built upon an ugly and crumbling foundation.
Title: Panic Down the Ant Trail
When the demise of an important underground crime lord leaves a power vacuum in the Governance’s smuggling world, Nia is sent to smooth things over.
A task that should be trivial with her skill-set. All that stands in her way is an arrogant lieutenant with ambitions of power, a seductive mentalist business woman manipulating both sides, and an unpredictable fire born, fighting her way out of a set-up.
Politics and business clash while the clock is ticking on a brewing elemental rebellion.
Book 3 currently being posted.
Cover for book 1:
Sisters of Rail (Multi-Track Mages Down Under, Book 1)
A railpunk serial.
Join farmgirl Charity Wilison on a magic and steam powered adventure as she attempts to flee the demons of her past and present. Her life continually runs further off the rails, yet she can never really escape them.
It's a sort of scifi-fantasyesque coming of age adventure? It's in first person, has a young female protagonist, and there's definitely steam trains. Oh and the demons are literal. Though what they are is kinda a mystery...
43 chapters plus a few poetic interludes, almost at 140k words. Book 1 is nearing completion, so now's a great time to jump in!

It's got a hard magic system, lots of fight scenes, and strategic main characters.
All humans possess a Pith, the essence of a mind where consciousness, reason, and emotion reside. Those who study its power can control their surroundings, move from body to body, and alter the very fabric of another’s thoughts.
On the continents of the Eight Oceans, the magicians wielding this energy formed secret societies, ruling nations from the shadows. Ten years ago, the public exposed them, plunging the world into chaos.
In the industrial empire of the Principality, Anabelle Gage has dreamt about Paragon Academy for as long as she can remember. An exclusive magic school, that can hone her abilities and cure her terminal illness.
And then they reject her.
She has one shot at saving her life: Enter the city’s cutthroat underworld, and make enough money to buy a new body. By any means necessary.
Ana forms a band of desperate exiles: A banished noble with dimension-warping power, a mind-reading mercenary, and a twenty-year-old bombmaker in an eighty-year-old body.
Together, they will uncover the secrets of this world. The true face of Paragon Academy. The drowned ruins of an ancient utopia. And the ocean, slowly rising, swallowing the planet beneath the waves.
If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to check it out!
This fiction is titled 'Mistball Academy'. It's a low-fantasy, supernatural read (mostly about witches). Check it out if it appeals to you!
Autumn Town is packed with witches. But, not the type in storybooks. No warts or long pointed noses, no cackling laugh or claws for fingers. The sight of a candle burning above your newborn’s head is considered a blessing. A sign that your daughter will be something great. A chance for her to flourish at the most prestigious witch school. The Mistball Academy. No one suspects that a rebellion might be brewing right under those very grounds. No one suspects where the monsters come from.
In the center of it all, 14-year-old Lucinda Mist stands. She was born on the day of the blue moon, a day that happens once every ten thousand years. A prophecy had predicted that she would gain unimaginable powers. The burden that comes with the gift was left unspoken, for fear it may be true. On the first day of Mistball Academy, she meets Hexa Luckberry. A girl just like her. Two powerful girls, residing in the same place. Innocent. Weak. Unprotected. How could the monsters resist the chance for revenge? To take back what is rightfully theirs? Lucinda and her friends try to navigate their way through a maze of questions and possibilities as strange things start to happen. Glowing red eyes. Moving shadows. Scattered corpses. Clues head to dead ends and pursuing the one important lead they have might mean death.

What would happen if an AI was to gain sentience? How would it impact the world? What balance would be broken?
I try my best to answer these questions, in this story. It takes a deeper look at the inner workings of an artificial mind,
while not excluding the lives of those who helped the entity grow. The full story will span years into the future.
