I'm looking for either an ongoing or complete fantasy story with action and adventure, preferably with an assassin or some type of rogue. I'm a large fan of the Night Angel trilogy and Mistborn, so if there's anything that's out there, please point me in that direction!
Pauliuk Wrote: The story Requiem is one I would recommend then.Im real new to this website...i have no clue if this is how to reply to your post or not, but thanks for the recommend, it looks epic!
Deal Breaker - ongoing
Chosen of the Veiled God: Death March - complete
Legacy of Terra: Forgotten - Book 1 Forgotten complete (also available of amazon) book 2 is in the making :)
My story is heavy on the action and adventure with two books in a planned trilogy complete.
The MC isn't a rogue or assassin per say, but he is a pretty sneaky guy who will use stealth and subterfuge often.
First off, welcome on the Royal Road! Hope you like it here.
I would be glad if you'd take a look at my story, even though it's a little different than what you are after.
It's an urban fantasy, taking place in London. A legendary mercenary/thief/assassin breaks into the British Museum to steal something seemingly worthless, and the youngest generation of two sorcerer families is given the task of stopping him, despite the fact they are in a personal family war.
Check it out if you think, link is in my signature. And good luck with your story!
Pauliuk Wrote: I took this more of a chance to promote other people’s stories. Also I am just beginning “The Beast and The Swallow” which is good and “Angel’s Dirge” is also nice so far.
Let me follow in that spirit and recommend the excellent author that initially brought me to RR: Vihyungrang
He has several completed stories: New Journey of an Old Soul, Lament of the Fallen, Song of the Void, and the new book he is working on is Power Overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed Lament of the Fallen, but they are all good and Power Overwhelming is shaping up to be incredible as he gets further in.
Of course, for the sake of self-promotion I'll point out my book in my signature. It is new, but it is pure fantasy, and has none of the litrpg trappings.
Regardless, welcome to the site and may you have many reading enjoyments!

In a city of darkness and murder, the greatest danger is found in the mind.
Alany hasn’t tracked anyone since the war, but when his lover goes missing, old skills are all he can trust.
With no other leads, he is forced to contact a mysterious network of telepathic magi, and risk his sanity for hope.
When the mind is no longer sanctuary, and even memories can be bartered, is there still power in love?
It's nearing 400+ chapters, so I think this might fit the bill for a long read.
It's well worth a try. Don't judge this story by its genre tags or its summary. The world and character building is leagues above most of its peers here on Royal Road. Most notably the secondary characters feel like real people with their own goals and agendas. None of their lives revolve around the MC which is such a rare thing to see in fictional works. They all go off and do their own thing independent of what the MC has going on. There is no harem. There is no posse of followers. The MC isn't the chosen one or the smartest, strongest and most talented person in the story's universe. The world, although alive and vividly imagined, does not revolve around the protagonist.
