The Gate Books appeared out of nowhere one day, simple leather bound books of six different colors. They changed the way people lived their lives.
The books formed gates into different dimension and worlds where magic filled the fabric of reality. These places the books would take people to were like fantasyland game worlds full of monsters and even treasures. Dungeon diving became big, guilds were formed, friends formed parties with friends, adventures were undertaken. It really was like a real life game.
Hector Espinas was one of the lucky few to actually discover and claim a Gate Book, a book that was one of a kind. He hid it for fear that others might try and take it. He did not intend to keep the book locked away forever, but he had no knowledge of what his special book could do or where it would lead and so he started training his mind and body.
Once ready he would step into his first adventure.
When he finally wakes up and musters the sentimental courage to leave his fantasy world behind, he realizes all too late that the 'log out' button has vanished, leaving no clues on how to exit the game. In a state of panic and confusion, the last person left in Solstice suddenly finds himself in an alien world, 400 years later.
You can expect at least 3-4 chapters a week.
I have been inspired by many many stories, novels, fictions of many types to write this. It is some thing I had to work up a lot of courage to do. This is my first time writing anything longer than a 1000 words which is a big step for me. There won't be a release schedule as I have time some days to work on this and other days not so much.
Other than that, thank you.
I had initially written 4 volumes with more than 350k words (and a million words deleted in rejected chapters) over the last two years. For some reason or another, the formatting broke in the story and the spacing became randomized.
I decided instead of trying to fix every single line in the 350k word story, I will just read it, retrace the plot, and rewrite the damn thing.
Thank you for following Nevermore until I decided to nuke it and start over.
I still have all my references saved and plot notes written down so don't worry, I will follow the original plot.
Miche, a boy with few screws loose in his head, decided that it is his duty to help Luna with her quest.
Luna, a woman whose age does not match her appearance, is searching for her missing family.
Despite Miche's psychopathic tendencies, he diligently protects Luna as they travel across the continent together.
That is, until Luna makes a crucial mistake: She heals a complete stranger.
This seemingly innocent act plunges the entire world into chaos. The maelstrom of violence and senseless bloodshed, which began with a single healing spell as a catalyst, has no sign of ending any time soon...
WARNING: Contains violence. This fiction is, in essence, grimdark. There may be scenes objectionable to readers and viewer discretion is advised.
Chapters with insensitive content will have warning at the top so Proceed at your own discretion.

Welcome to Portland a generic town in a world where some have superpowers. Three big baddies have split the town between uptown, midtown, and downtown. So, what are the local heroes doing? They're doing their best keeping the city in as much order as they can. So, what happens when some new powered entitites show up? Are they new heros, villains, or neither? Follow their story.
Disclaimer: This is my first attempt and there will be grammar errors, plot holes, and stuff. Go easy on me, but do point stuff out so I can make it better.
Betrayed by fate, hated by his family and isolated from his surroundings, our hero ventures. He lost everything he can remember and can't remember. Whenever he was seen he was doing a sin, why has fate been so cruel?
What is it that resides in his heart? Is it the cursed power of protection that deprived him of his only ray of hope in this dark world or the power that lay out the golden road to find all his answers?
What is he? A ghost, a thief, a murderer, a stranger, a warrior, a soldier, a protector, or perhaps all of that?
This is the daily diary of I Lupus Rex. I would love to tell you more but that would just spoil things. You will just have to give me a chance and I will do my best to intrigue you.
I can’t touch anyone.
I was born with a curse. Hearts tell me everything about a person’s emotional state. Physical touch amplifies those emotions.
I only ever wanted to be normal, but I’m not. I hurt the people I love. Now I’m paying for it.
A power-hungry slaver learned about my ability and took me to his fortress in a vast desert. I won’t give him what he wants, but I’m trapped. I can’t escape on my own.
All I want to do is reach the place I can atone for my sins: the Cloud, the city in the sky. Then, as if to answer my pleas, a desert dweller infiltrates my prison and gives me the chance to escape.
It is my first fiction so criticism would be both painful and appreciated. Thank you
What would you say if I told you that I can make us live forever? Never aging, never dying. Always young and youthful. What would you say if I asked you to come with me on an adventure? A life of running, thieving, scheming, and falling in love? Would you say yes? Would you come with me? Are you intrigued yet? Have I sparked your curiosity? Have I filled your head with dreams and wonderment? If yes, then lets go! Off to tour the world in search of immortality and power, off to find love and heartbreak. We are off to find adventure!
A short story comprised of a single, long, run-on sentence
Something finds itself in the body of a young human boy around the age of 15 inside a hollowed out dead tree in the middle of a clearing.
Writing cause I'm bored and a spark of whimsy hit me with an idea. Expect nothing.
She the number one killer in the world was poisoned by her own family to get the money from her bounty she vowed in her next life to trust no one.
A Deep Dive to the Lost Server is illegal but possibly the world's most lucrative job. In the not-so-distant future, the very first AI has gone rogue, dumping the specs for Deep Dive technology onto the internet and creating the first neural immersive virtual world. This Lost Server is the repository for millions of dollars the AI has siphoned from corporate and government electronic transactions. In the United States, Deep Diving is illegal but attractive to the desperate, greedy, and the romantic.
A group of friends, familiar with Deep Dives, decide to challenge a dungeon. In the treasure room rests more than 2 million dollars. Between them and that treasure are monsters who could potentially render them brain-dead in real life. This is the story of the party's leader, Helba, and her experience of this Dive.
Before all races were born there existed one supreme and primordial deity: GAIA.
As the primordial deity, GAIA wielded Immense power capable of shattering planets and extinguishing suns with a single thought.
But sadly GAIA was the only Living being that existed in the universe and thus suffered from immense loneliness, when she could no longer bear it she chose to separate and divide herself into countless pieces, and from these pieces, the races were born, Dragons, Phoenixes, Humans, Dwarfs, Elves and countless other races.
That's the story that everyone that possesses intelligence in the Universe knows, but only a few knew is that before GAIA was completely extinguished she gathered the last of her powers and transformed herself into a single drop of blood.
What kind of power that single drop of blood holds? Nobody knows for sure but what they are sure of is that single drop of blood is perhaps the most precious treasure of the Universe, as it was the last thing the only primordial being left behind before her complete destruction.
Ataren is a confused boy overwhelmed by the state of his ill mother and the bluntness of his grandmother, who looks after them both. His frustration is reminiscent of the wider population. A world where man lacks what was once his. The Embodiments abandoned the human race over a millennia ago, and for the thousand years that followed, man was reduced to less than the rubble upon which they built their cities.
Thoughts and emotions stripped, all are confined to the whims of their woes, and the sorrows of loss. But when the mysterious and long lost Embodiment Of Good seeks out Ataren - something thought never to happen again - everything changes.
Ataren’s eyes burst into a reality more lucid and real than he thought possible. Good returns to his life, and to the lives of those whose path he crosses. Entire view point shifted, the light of the good shines through him and in him, as he realises what he must do.
With the companionship of the Embodiment Of Good, he departs for the Ancient Lands; home to the Embodiments. He must find the other Embodiments and bring them back to the people. He aims to return the seven Embodiments Of Power:
Wind, Water, Fire, Light, Stone, Earth and Darkness. Hoping to display them to the world and restore wonder and curiosity to their lives, he sets out to find them.
But he does not understand that these Embodiments left mankind for a reason. They are more than content with things remaining the way they are. Convincing them to return, will not be as easy as it seems.
WIP! Still being fleshed out!
Vesa and Draia cohabitate in their dilapidated apartment, facing cold winters and colder summers together. Both human and android feel like outsiders to the technologically advancing world, not wanting to assimilate anymore than they already have. Survival alongside every other human trying to avoid the arctic weather becomes a matter of life or death as their government's leader suddenly exiles humans from robotic society. Vesa and Draia are forced to contend with all walks of life and eventually, each other.
Trying to flex my writing muscles again so any feedback is welcomed! This is more to get my mind working and establish the world mentally.
An average classroom of freshmen highschoolers ready to deal with there new day to day life with high school, but wait why are they all in another world? AND HOW DO THEY NOT THINK FIGHTING A GENERIC DEAMON LORD WITH OVERLY COMPLICATED SPELLS ISNT CRINGY!
