Emotions are illogical, no?
(First actually finished story. It's probably really unpolished and rough around the edges, but I hope you enjoy!)
Most stories are about a hero representing good or light against the bad guy or the dark side. The hero will have a great adventure meeting friends, family, companions, lovers. Without any care in the world or responsibilities. Eventually the hero will meet up with the bad guy and defeat him. Then he will go home and they will live hapily ever after.

There he meets others each on their own path. The path may contain fun and laughter, it may contain knowledge and understanding, the path may contain darkness and evil. No one knows how their path will end only where their path begins.

(Note that this is a cyoa with reader interaction. There are two main paths, but at the end of every chapter after the first few will be a small choice that affects minute details. I expect to complete the story by June, and that includes both paths, so expect a release every few days or so. Also, since I'll be submitting this to my Institute in game format, I request anyone who reads to inform me of any loopholes or logic derps they find, and to vote on the choices. Most of the tags are placeholders, as they will be used much later in the story.)

Seven years ago a small cottage dedicated to raising children with the capability of using non-orthodox types of magic disappeared, along with its class of only twenty-five students, ages eight to thirteen. The day after two students appeared lying face down on the front lawn of where the school used to be.
One was dead, and the other unconscious. The unconscious student disappeared along with a mysterious group of people, and were never seen again… at least that's what the rumors say. Within a year after that, nineteen students were confirmed dead. All of perplexing circumstances.
All of them seemed to die of a heart attack. Needless to say they weren't missed much, because all of the children found dead were plebeians. Nothing much to miss, except for their peculiar talent in magic.
Twenty dead. One mysterious disappearance. Two found alive and secretly trained under a group of soldiers. Tow whose whereabouts were never uncovered.
Seven years later.
The tragedy of years ago has been tucked into the back of everyone's minds, well the minds of the few people who were privy to the information.
