New content weekly! (Sundays in the U.S.)
The harbour Luc has been dropped into is not a normal one. It looks like a medieval town, it's full of strange people and some of them are waving magic around.
Luc will need to rely on new friends and his own determination to learn how to harness the magic of the Aether. He has to find his way back home.
This is my first story in English. Please tell me if I've used a word incorrectly.
It's a slow-paced, slice of life isekai focused on Luc's goal of going home, his learning of the magic and gathering the resources he needs to grow.
The chapters after the first one will be about 2-3k words long. I'll try to post at least once a week.
Hope you enjoy!

Everyone wants to be a hero. That’s certainly what it felt like, anyway. Young men and women poured out into the wilds in waves, risking their lives to beat back the enemy. Little boys and girls went to sleep at night to stories of legendary heroes, of shining pillars of strength and power. But of course, in every story of heroes, there must exist the villains. And, unfortunately for Dharen, this night his own villains had arrived.
Alone and forgotten, Dharen must forge a new path amidst his former enemies. He must become stronger. But first, he must discover who he once was.
Upload Schedule: One upload per day Mon-Fri.
Walter Alvis, all around video game addict, finds himself magically summoned into a fantasy world. To his dismay he discovers that, unlike in his run-away imagination, he is completely helpless as a, "Level: Zero." Now he has to find a way to get along with the knight and Paladin-select, Elin Folcey, while at the same time desperately surviving by his wits.
Sophia is summoned to another world as a Hero. She and the others fail. Humanity falls before the monstrous horde. She awakens in her seventeen-year-old body, given a second chance by an unlikely ally.
This time she will not become a mere White Wizard and Sage, but ascend to the heights of Grand Archon. Sophia will show her fellow Heroes the path to victory and burn the army of her enemies to ash.
The demon lords will tremble as they face a foe as terrible and powerful as they are.
Earths Engineers are a double-edged sword. They can fix or improve anything, but no sane Xeno Engineer will touch it if it carries the Human Altered warning..
A series of interconnected tales from our distant future. It's not a novel, most of the chapters are stand-alone.
Also thanks for the awards.
Each human contains a spark of divinity. Only a few learn to access it, but for those few a reward awaits them in the afterlife.
Meet Karlus, a 26-year old construction manager who managed to access his spark. Join him on a journey of discovery as he explores a new world and new powers and meets new friends and ancient heroes to help him along on his journey.
A western-style Xianxia with a few other tropes.
*Note: I started this on a whim and updates will be sporadic and slow. I'm mainly posting here to allow my friends easier access for proofreading, but if anybody else wants to read and comment then I'd welcome your criticism as well.
No romance. Language. Drug Use (kinda). Gore.
God has become tired of watching over our world. He has become tired of our meaningless conflicts and our penchant for self-destruction. We are a cursed race, destined for annihilation by our own hands. However, he cannot leave us without a designated successor and no other celestial being wishes to take his place. So, he is left with little option but to create his own successor.
Enter Anna Miller. Stay at home geek, occasional cosplayer, and comic enthusiast. She, out of everyone else in the world, is selected by God to take his place as the new shepherd of humanity.
She is given two rules.
1. Don't let the humans die.
2. Don't take over the world.
That's it. That's all. God then fucks off to have a vacation and she's left with the world to do with as she pleases. So, what does a stay at home geek, occasional cosplayer, and comic enthusiast do with her newly bestowed godlike powers?
"Well Superpowers, of course!"
God, please come back and help us all.

Author's Note: This story is an experiment for me because it's the first story I will be writing with no backlog whatsoever. Because of that, reader comments are highly encouraged if you would like to influence the direction of the story. There will be 3-4 updates per week, but there could be more depending on my schedule.
A desolate city, a frozen ruin, a relic of the past, were all appropriate descriptions of the place Liam found himself. Where was he? How did he get here? And why was he here? If he wanted answers, his only option was to survive. But how? With no distinct skills, the only thing that set him apart was his bitter past, which had shaped him into the cold, pessimistic and distrustful person he was.
‘So,’ Liam thought, ‘it isn’t any different.’
Starting with nothing wasn’t new for him, and as before, he would forge ahead into this unfamiliar land of abnormalities, monsters, and magic.
Release Schedule: New chapters every Monday/Wednesday/Friday.... Interlude chapters are released on off days as extra chapters (i.e. Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sun).
A general note: This is my first time writing anything (outside of academic papers). So, there are many things I’m learning and working on improving as the progresses.

Being a fresh college graduate, Sean moves to Raston City in hopes of landing it big. But it's been half a year and the only job he's been able to land is being a barista at a coffee shop downtown. The job keeps him alive, but it doesn't cut it. He needs more. Otherwise, he’ll have to move back home.
Then a big shot from the company that created the hit VRMMORPG, Inside Online, contacts him and offers him a golden opportunity.
Could this change his life? Or did he take the devil’s deal?

In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural.
Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers.
There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate.
Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting)
This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters.
The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions.
No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.
Few other things:
Non-native novice writer - some iffy wording and grammar issues may/will appear.
New chapters are released twice per week - on Monday and Thursday, each ~2500 words.

Everyone knows the Isekai genre. Everyone knows the tropes, the plots, the hooks. But, not everyone likes it. This is the story of Ikari Yasashi, someone who hates that genre. He ended up in a new world, and he's not particularily happy about it.
When Gavin finds that a catgirl from another world mysteriously appears in his pantry, he decides, against all logic, to let her live in his room. But it’s not easy to keep a curious, free-spirited catgirl a secret. She doesn’t know anything about Earth culture, she’s constantly bored, and she has a strange and frustrating disregard for clothing. It’ll be hard enough for Gavin to keep his parents from finding out. And it’ll only get more complicated once a shadowy organization bent on killing any otherworlders enters the scene…
Content: An ecchi reverse-isekai romance/adventure involving a catgirl. Strong sexual themes, but no explicit descriptions of sexual acts (i.e. not erotica). Strong language in some sections. A few sentences of mild gore. A focus on strong plot and characters in an attempt to raise the bar for the ecchi romance genre.
Book is already fully written at 120k words. The entire release schedule, start to finish, can be seen here. Updates average 2.1k words. Because it's already fully written, there is no chance this fiction will ever go on hiatus or be abandoned, so read with confidence!
Heads Up: This book is not intended to be permanently free! It is being posted in its entirety as a beta on Royal Road in preparation for its Amazon release on May 16th. It will be taken down from Royal Road on June 20th. While it is running, I will be collecting feedback from the comments section and incorporating it into the final Amazon version. The Royal Road community is excellent, so I’m grateful to have you all on board as beta readers!
We have a Discord server! Check the author’s notes sections for more info.
As you read, please put any feedback you have comments!
James died from touching something he, in hindsight, should definitely not have. As luck would have it, he was reborn into a world with magic, levels, skills, and stats. Just like an RPG! The most curious thing about this new world was that magic had only existed for thirty years. What kind of life will James lead in a world filled with monsters, dungeons, and magic?
Usually will update Wednesday and Saturday, but there's always the chance I haven't gotten around to writing in a while so there may be a break. Additionally, I intend to edit heavily between arcs.
In which an introverted healer learns to deal with the greatest horrors of his life - socializing, dungeons, and psychopathic NPCs.
Games have been his escape from reality for as long as he could remember. So when Eliona's Gate is released - an online game that's the very first of its kind - Seth Verigin doesn't hesitate to jump aboard.
Thus, Severance the healer is born. All he wants is to solo-quest his way across the land, to be able to enjoy the beauty of the world around him without the stress of other players to bring him down.
Unfortunately for him, there's a few problems with that plan. Not only did he choose a class that's in high demand, but some players just won't take no for an answer. And the game NPCs? They definitely have a mind and an agenda of their own.
There's something a little off about Eliona's Gate, and he's going to have to decide if facing his personal fears are worth it to see what secrets the game is holding.
This is the first draft, completed at 200k words. Book 1 of a series. Also posted on Wattpad.

Breck Jones was living in an overpopulated grim future before an accident at work killed him. Before he died, he received odd messages awarding him skills and abilities. Little did he know that he was about to be reborn as a dungeon core!
Follow the journey of a very damaged individual, after waking up from a coma that lasted several years, only to see that the world had drastically changed. The story is centered on the main character, Noguchi Takeo, and his psychological progression.
- LitRPG: Although the tag is there, the novel won't be filled with stats and numbers, it'll be toned down. The System is more flavor and a writing tool, than the main point of the story. The first chapter also function as its introduction, so it plays a larger role there than it will during the following chapters.
- Sexual Content: In the future, there will only be a couple of sex scenes described in detail throughout the novel, but they'll also be related to the MC's development. You have been warned.
- Thank you for reading it.
PS: The earlier chapters are a bit rough, specially chapter 1, but I intend to improve them as soon as my brain allows me to.

[DOES contain: WLW/lesbian romance, political drama, sexual content, diverse cast, enemies to lovers. DOES NOT contain: sexual abuse/assault etc, graphic depictions of gore, homophobia, or sexism.]

Welcome dear friends, to the Virtual Reality Full Immersion System called Bookworld Online!
Your name is David Drake and you are a 10 year old slave to the Marsh Hag. You were bought from your parents when you were only a small child at three years old. You don't really remember your old family at all. That's a good thing, since you would hate them on sight for selling you to her. All you've know for your whole life is pain. You are usually quickly healed and receive a lot of training and experience as her unofficial apprentice.
It's unofficial because she would never pay to have you registered as an actual apprentice. To everyone else, you are just the boy she took pity on and brought into her home. What they don't know is that you are much more than that. So much more.
You are her food. She uses you as her own personal buffet and she indulges herself quite often. You even have the permanent scars to prove it. You have learned many things from her, mostly without her knowing, since you have been helping more and more with her spell work the last few years and her potion making. The only parts you can't do are the magic condensing rituals that her potions require and the mana infusions that a lot of her other creations need.
Do you wish to initiate the Main Storyline with these parameters?
Please Note: I publish daily.

It's a story about a demon that owns a dungeon.
The dungeon has a core. The demon is a low-ranking member of an army.
Expect a fun story, way too long chapters, and a mildly emotional demon.
Thralls are a slave soldier race in an Earthlike universe, where biological magic takes the place of technology. Centuries ago, desperate humans volunteered themselves to be transformed as soldiers for the Poison War. Today their descendants are still soldiers and laborers. In contract law they are 'corporate wards'; slaves owned largely by arms dealers.
Dally Harper starts this story as a champion thrall fighter. He is one of the 'lucky' ones. It's all downhill from there.
The Loyal Ones is a worldbuilding project with art, lore and writing. You can see more here.
One day, Adam B. Windsley was in this world, and then, he wasn't. Suddenly trasported into a strange world called Lutum, Adam finds himself in the body of a small, unassuming slug, and during the course of 600 years, he evolved beyond the scope of humans, becoming one of the Five Evil Gods, worshipped by his followers and treated as a God would. But he isn't happy. And after some time reaquainting himself with humans, he finds himself enjoying their company. But, in a sudden twist of events, he finds himself back in his own world.
But he is still a giant tentacle-covered monstoristy.
And where did these magical girls come from?...
In short, this is a story focusing on a somewhat edgy reincarnated-as-a-monster kind of guy who returned back to his world on the day of his transferral, only for strange, unusual things to happen. Monsters from his past world start popping up out of the blue, and ordinary people are suddenly learning of sorcery.
In terms of structure, it will mostly be about what happens to Adam after coming back, but depending on general opinion, there may or may not be more "Before" chapters focusing on his life back in Lutum. Well, there probably will be, but who knows???
The chapters will be between 2000 and god-only-knows-how-many words, and will be released every three days at 3 pm, CST. I don't actually live in America so if chapter release is off by an hour or so, it's probably either because I messed up with the time, or because I was unable to finnish a chapter on time-,
The artwork on the cover belongs to yours truly, I drew it myself and I'm darn tootin' proud of it, and Omni is my dear co-writer who got me this far. Couldn't do it without him!
With that said, I do hope you enjoy, as I did put way too much effort into it...
Following what many people described as the 'Whispering of the Sirens', the entire world shifted ever so slightly. A dozen or so individuals through the world awakened unimaginable powers, beginning what would later be known as the 'Metahuman Revolution'.
Lilith, a woman who'd always thought of herself as a normal, down-to-earth kind of person, suddenly found herself caught up in all of the drama and changes. With the military wishing to pick her up and force her into becoming a supersoldier, the media obsessing over her, and the scientists salivating to get their hands on her, she really could use any help she could get.
Thankfully, while the world still didn't make much sense, at least she gained some sweet powers that could help her survive, if nothing else.
Taylor has the power to copy powers. Only her powers always take the form of a new sibling, a little sister as it were. Will Taylor and her army of little sisters be able to take on the world, or will they drown in a sea of cuddles and headpats?

Some time ago, a planes-traveling archmage made up a video game to train some people on the planet Earth for the catastrophe he knew was coming.
That game was the Power of Ten.
This is not that story. This is the story of what happens when certain divine powers take advantage of the fact that there is now a system out there that can imprint ass-kicking gamer characters onto souls for use on places other than the planet Earth...
Sama Rantha is one of those characters, and is going to find out that being a Hagchild is much, much less fun then setting it to your Race at level One on a gamescreen, and having to survive after your Hag Curse fails to murder you at birth...
Join Sama Rantha on her Road to Ten, and letting her Hagmother know exactly what she thinks of her...
In the second half of the story, : The Warp, the final frontier; in the grim darkness of a galaxy far far away, there came a hagchild...QX!
Sama gets a little out of her comfort zone, but oh, the bad guys are not going to like it anyways...
Discord link: https://discord.gg/gJ6fRs9 is always up if I'm online.
The story updates daily. Each chapter is ~ 4 pages in Word, or 2,000 words.
The first section is almost pure LitRPG, with gamer terms heavy as Sama madly exploits the rules as fast as possible to stay alive, minmaxing her heart out to get one up on the system trying to kill her.
This tapers off, but never really goes away, as what is called game terminology really does explain the magic of the world she is in. From there, it's simple powergaming to get strong and fight against the stuff trying to tear the world apart around her.
The second half of the novel sends Sama into the Far Future in a universe she'd rather not be in... but the heart of a powergamer just never says no...
There are a lot of stories about people reborn into a fantasy world but most such individuals seem to be young, inexperienced and forced to start from the bottom up. But who attempts to summon a nobody, expending vast magical power to do so?
What if there is an effort to summon a champion of the celestial host and strip them of their free will, binding them by their True Names only to be foiled as they vacate themselves to follow possession by another? What if the one summoned from something approximating our own world is a veteran in her thirties who now finds herself in a form alien, powerful, but far from invulnerable?
It involves a whole lot of fire.
Chester is called in to work early when tragedy strikes and a bored Freya, Goddess of Love and War, takes an interest in him. Propelling him into an awkward adventure as a woman in a magical world.
(That's my valiant effort at a vague description, I suggest you read a few of the reviews; they do a better job than I of telling you what you're getting into. I feel at this point if I rewrite my synopsis I'll just be stealing their thoughts but I do hope you give it a shot regardless of the Gender Bender tag. Cheers: Raelik.)
For those of you that don't read the story tags, this story is a Gender Bender. I am writing it to develop my ability to write from a female perspective; with the forgiveness of a character that was once male. If the themes generally involved in Bender's are not your thing, please kindly refrain from reading this story and ruining it, and my drive to write it in the first place, for others. I do however try to keep my stories realistic, so alot of the themes are significantly muted so far.
Aaron is a boy who lives a happy childhood in a happy, rich family. Things take a turn for the worst as their family slowly start to crumble apart. In the worst of it all, Aaron's mom murders Aaron for insurance money, and Aaron is reborn in another world.
I am floating lazily through an empty void.
Where am I? What's happening? Who am I?
Flashes of memories come to me. I begin to remember everything that has happened.
I died, haven't I?
Aaron is a fourteen year old boy reborn as a Shade Beast. He explores the cavernous area he's been dropped in while getting stronger and struggling with the trauma from his past.
This story won't involve any harems.
In the world of Mantaras there have been countless Gods and Goddesses, and now a newly born system has arisen. Watch how Jack (the System) learns how to be a omnipotent system. Several different users, he will become close to and friends with.
(For the first arc, Jack will be more in the background, but after that he will be more active)
Paul Lycos, the last human, starts his journey after a forty thousand year nap.
Earth was overtaken by Singularities, artificially intelligent machines, that eliminated humanity because they could no longer advance.
Paul was frozen in time during the genocide and was kept as a specimen. Awoken because a new age ushered in changes that the Singularities could not think themselves out of.
Paul ultimately seeks revenge for the atrocities committed against humankind.
On a planet far away from Earth, an ancient tree lives inside a beautiful forest. When the tree realises that it's life is coming to an end, it creates a seed without a soul. The seed begins a long journey, being passed from person to person, until it finally collides with the soul of a girl from Earth and sprouts. With her human knowledge, the girl tries to survive in this world... as a tree.
Note: This is my first time writing a novel, so my writing style might be a little rough around the edges sometimes, especially in the first ten or so chapters. I'll probably rewrite them at some point... later. Also, the MC will be introduced in chapter 13. Chapter releases once every six days.
The Aether Shift. An event that changed the world forever. Unleashing untold powers onto the minds and bodies of humans on Earth. Some were chosen, against their will, to become something new, a Dungeon core. Azaria, finally allowed leave the house on her own for the first, ends up in as one of these beings, however, the situation gets turned sideways and she's left alone. Join her on her journey.
P.S> I do not own the cover and will take it down if so requested to do so.
My name is John, and I used to be a tester of the VR-RPG fantasy game. One day I got fired because robots and AIs had replaced even my job. So I went to the pub and got wasted.
When I had my tenth drink, my hallucination materialized as a young punk; told me I live in a simulation and sent me twenty years back.
Did he say simulation, or it was just past? Whatever. The goal? Get money and fix the future, maybe. How can a normal tester get rich, you ask? By exploiting THE game! But why the hell is my character locked as a girl priest? Will I change in the reality too?
My name is Charlie, and I am The Exploiter.
This week: 2 chapters (20-21) tu-?? (sorry I am sick, no idea when the chap will be :( ) (17:00 UTC)
Next week: 3 chapters per week tu-th-sa ... Sometimes maybe a bonus chapter, but I need to catch breath :)
He saw the title and read it outloud “The First King”? Then he turned it around to read the summary. The text made his heart beat faster. This sounded so interesting!
The summary told of a world where the strong survive and powerful thrive, filled with pillage, murder, drama, castles and dinosaurs. How fricking cool is that!? This makes one's blood boil with ambition and excitement! And it’s all in a medieval setting.
But the books ending was rotten... William took his anger out on the book but was paid back tenfold. When he realized it, it was too late: "What!? I'm reborn as a girl in this crazy world!? Book! You really want to see me suffer don't you!?".
Warning: Contains mentions of rape, family abuse and cruel scenes...
There'll be uploads 3 times a week. Monday, wednessday and friday.
"It was just supposed to be another day. Just another ordinary, mundane, monotonous, bullshit day at school. Fuck, I still hate remembering it."
Joshua Cole was just meandering through life. Never really had any determination to do better, and even his crush was just a friend until just five minutes ago... although, her affection is the last thing on his mind after he slips into another dimension.
Faced between selling himself to the state in order to earn a life of luxury, or try to make it on his own with a small startup fund, how will our hero (villain, murderer, savior; your pick, really), survive in a familiar yet foreign land?
There is a copious amount of profanity. A Cyberpunk story with blood, gore, violence, mind breaking, and sex. Kinky, kinky sex. You have been warned.
In which a girl’s only memories are about how to escalate until everyone respects you, Queen Salem tries to deal with being a single mom, and all of Remnant develops an acute case of acarophobia.
A Worm/RWBY crossover
When they took my life, I thought I didnt have anything left to lose.
I was a fool.
The Ouroboros Project offered salvation from a dying world and I leapt at the chance to escape my ghosts. I entered a virtual world of myth and magic, which felt just as real as the one I’d left.
But swinging a sword and casting spells wasn't enough to stop innate human greed. Shady deals with corrupt nobles, slavery, and even murder. All of it swept aside in the pursuit of wealth and power.
Blood is the coin of the realm, and business is good.
I tried to focus on building a life for myself in this new world, but everything changed when my guild was attacked by an unknown force and a mysterious girl fell into my lap.
Eris is an enigma to me with her obsidian eyes and strange magic, but she isn't my only problem.
Someone has their sights set on my family, and they have plenty of gold and blood to throw at us—more than enough to bury us alive.
They brought war to my home; it's only fair I return the favor.
‘A ship is a female after all!’ The man, now known as Abyssal thought to herself.
This is the story of a man who woke up one day and realised that he became a ship. A broken ship that's stranded in space with a skeleton as a captain, but nevertheless a ship!
Now, S.A.S Abyssal (Self Aware Ship Abyssal) roamed space freely, wanting to find her purpose in this endless void. Along the way, she upgraded herself, found other Living Cores such as herself, got herself a maid, got into a dogfight, went space mining, upgraded herself further, steered through a minefield, encountered a supernova and even found genetically engineered catgirls!
Also, it turned out that there was some sort of crazed bounty hunter out for her blood! But wait there was more! She also somehow got herself involved in an intergalactic space war!
‘Wait wait wait! What the hell is this?! What am I supposed to do now!?’
Disclaimer: This is a casual release so expect the quality to be slightly less and chapter-length to be shorter than my other series(on Scribblehub).
I will try to release 2 chapters a week for this story(Wed and Sun), but no promises as I am concentrating fully on my other stories.
Also, I do not have a degree in literature nor a PHD in space-related stuff, so do forgive me if I make a few mistakes here and there!
So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything.
Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story.
Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon.
The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday.
Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.
He woke up in the bowels of his crashed ship. His arms were gone, as were most of his memories. Stumbling out of the cockpit, the skull-faced man could scarcely anticipate just how mythical a living human was in these parts - let alone one with a custom body such as his.
The gods are real and incorporated. Providence is a profitable global monopoly.
But its chief executive is a corrupt authoritarian, the combined might of the divine powers is ignoring humanity’s problems, and Helpdesk service is, frankly, terrible. In this corporate fantasy, it’s up to history’s most maligned immortals to step up and sort things out.
IMPORTANT UPDATE - 16 MARCH 2020
If you've been with me for a while, you may notice some familiar content coming out over the next month. On the suggestion of several smart people, I'm splitting my long chapters (which earlier ranged from 6,500-10,000 words) into more digestable chunks.
Why is this happening?
In a word, promotion. There's an established strategy for success on Royal Road, and, not knowing any better, I did it wrong on the first try. It happens. We learn, we adjust, we improve.
How will this impact existing readers?
Over the next month, the old lengthy chapters will be deleted and replaced with shorter ones. The content will be the same - there will just be more chapters. We're still looking at around 2,500 words per chapter on average. Nothing too crazy.
Will you be waiting longer for new content?
No, not at all! I've been steadily writing at the same pace as always, and the next chapter is still due to come out mid-April. In fact, I should have two or three brand new chapters ready by then at the new length. One is already scheduled in. ;) Expect the change to mean I can release new content more frequently.
Times are tough out there. Take care and keep yourself and those around you safe. - Csuite
The era of prosperity and peace came to an end suddenly, but that era also gave the humans a chance for them to develop as species by leaps and bounds at the cost of many sacrifices.
Suddenly, all living beings on Earth got electrocuted when a massive electromagnetic wave crossed the planet, initializing the great filter system. Those who were physically weak passed out and those who were even weaker died at that very same moment. However, that was just the beginning. Even the dead would contribute in order to make the human race stronger, but the contribution would come with a price...
The dead returned to torment the living, even dead animals... portals across the whole planet appeared connecting Earth to unbelievable worlds and bringing their bloodthirsty inhabitants to test the human race survival instincts. While everything was being destroyed at an astounding pace, Cole had one thing in mind, go back home and reunite with his sister, the only family he still had. However, the journey back home won't be easy. Along the way, he will see what the human race can do to survive and what humans are capable of when they were put against the wall...

"Ah, how I wish I could be summoned to another world."
I’d always thought of such a naive wish of escapism would never be granted. However, shit happened and I was somehow summoned.
However, in some strange twist of fate, I was no longer needed and disposed of, but that’s okay because I didn’t want to be a summoned hero to begin with. My new beginning may have been abruptly cut short, but even so, that is fine. There is a path I’m much more interested in.
Cough cough cough.
Though, my sinister laugh may still need some practice.
