Every day for six years straight, from the time he was twelve, Darius Omen hit an anvil ten thousand times a day without stopping. He did not know the reason why he had to, all he knew was that he must. Little did he know that hit by hit, strike by strike, his originally meek body was being refined into something that had never been seen before in the history of mankind.
In the war against spirits, mankind had little to be proud of. Yet one day a young man entered the battlefield. He dazzled millions and killed even more, all with merely a rusty old hammer than no one could hold or fathom.
Novel started by Patriarch Onion (Author of Solitary Sword Sovereign and Titan's Throne), later picked up by Jym Pineapple (As of chapter 5 onwards) and hosted on theonionjunktion on royal road with the commentary of the beautiful and handsome Cookie. Now edited by Entelechy. (He reedited stuff as well)

1. Many of the tags I clicked may not come into effect for some time, or ever, but are something I am considering heavily when it comes to adding to the story.
2. I wear many hats and do not always write frequently. I'm sure this will get regular updates during the new story high, but I do not know where it will go from there. This is my first time attempting to write xianxia and I am doing so to practice my writing craft and expand my skillset.

This is the story of Yun Kou, how she climbs her way up this cultivation world, filled with powerful clan's, Wild Spirits, Demons and Beasts and cultivation sects.
Many tropes of common cultivation novels are used.
But there won't be any cheats.

***A couple disclaimers***
Thus story features progressive RPG elements. This is my first story, and I'm wanting to start slow on the status screens and game rules. I just wanted to put this here to let everyone know what they were getting.
What good was victory when so much had been lost. A party of over a hundred, reduced to less than twenty, the last remaining members of the human race. There was a chance to go back, to start from the opening of Dos, but only one member of the party could go back.
And he was dead.
Dustin found himself waking up to a head filled with memories he did not remember, a life lived, and ended, without his consent.

Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was.
Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters both demons and spirits in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who just reincarnated after three millennia.
Essairyn is an abnormal human with elemental powers, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world of magic, danger, mystery, and intrigue.
But this not a game. That simple adventure is actually the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tear even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought she was. And not even the gods can change the destiny of the universes...
A single promise shook eternity’s existence.

The My World To Live (MWTL) series, the alternative short name is Canaan, is comprised of three books symbolically named My World, To Live, and My World To Live.
Two years prior, the entire story had been planned and detailed out from start to finish before actual writing. Thus, the story will never be dropped.
While the genre is largely Fantasy, the book is comprised of many other elements including a School Life (Magic Academy) story portion. MWTL has a lot of scattered symbolism and allusions, hence, the mystery aspect. The science fiction elements progressively become more pronounced, and the slow romance is a late bloomer. The female lead is strong and independent, and her backstory and identity unravel as drivers of the plot. Expect lots of action/fighting throughout and scattered philosophical and psychological themes arising. It's a human journey to find the essence of one's living and purpose. What kind of world do I wish to live for?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope to share the journey with you~!
Canaan's Original and New Covers: If you're curious about my art and the various covers I made for this series and other authors, I have a RR thread that makes free covers and shows art processes.
[Daily updates for the first two dozen chapters. Weekly updates after.]

With no way off the property, nor any way out of the alternate and back to their real dimension, Nathan and his classmates battle for survival in the hopes that eventually, they will be freed from the game.
Release Schedule: Mondays and Thursdays by 11:59 PM CST (+/- 1 day).
Thousands of people around the globe randomly find themselves "hosts" for alien technology that allows them to alter their minds and bodies in an instant through holographic menu systems. With the touch of a button, any of the hosts can become super strong, gain magical abilities, purchase a giant robot, or become a master in any of an almost infinite number of skills that range from advanced combat techniques to fidget-spinning. However, the hosts also become targets for nightmarish, shape-shifting creatures that have come to Earth following the newfound extraterrestrial tech. The menu systems can grant their hosts great power, but it may not be enough to survive the horde of murderous beings hunting them down.
The Dimension Wars almost broke the very fabric of reality, each dimension and race struggling for supremacy in the fight to obtain the resources located in the void between dimensions. Under threat of their home worlds disappearing into the void, the major races and dimensions gathered together to form a truce, stopping the endless conflict. After decades of meetings and deliberation The Tower was born. A colossal structure formed in the void, The Tower would act as a proving ground, a place where each race could send a champion to compete. The higher their champion climbed, the more resources their race had access to.
Waking up naked with his memories sealed, Tormacc must climb The Tower. During his climb a chance encounter lets him in on a secret that would cost him his life should its knowledge get out. Burdened by the knowledge now in his possesion, and the responsibility that brings, he has to rely on vague impressions of his people and a sense of honor to push himself forward. But without any actual memories of his home planet he has no idea what his life was like before entering The Tower, or what those memories would reveal to him once unsealed.
Meet Orihara Satoru, a 33 y.o. Game Designer who was about to confess his feelings to an overly cute co-worker. Yes, he ‘was’, because his life unexpectedly came to an end.
He woke up in a new world.
In the world, where 99.9% of the population are reincarnated people like he is, and technology co-exists with magic.
In the world, where every few days Beasts are summoned by a Wave to bring chaos and disaster.
"How will I fare in a world, where everyone is an Isekai protagonist? Also, my build is a random mess and why am I a girl now? Oh, well. Creative Thinking is Everything I Have."
Who might enjoy this story:
- readers who love references to popculture/games/anime (also after the first chapter they are not that abundant)
- fans of an isekai/transported to another world genre
- those who dislike OP protagonists and prefer MC to grow stronger bit by bit and rely heavily on his friends.
- people who enjoy black-and-white-and-grey stories, where life is not always bad, but not always good, too.
Warning: you may find a bit of profanity and nudity (or minor depiction of sex-related content) here. Also, a lot of anime/game/popculture references.
I'm trying to make this story a little more adult and mature than usually advised in this genre. A bit more of 'reality' and details, usually omitted.
Another cover art that better portray's the tone of the story, belongs to Valerie Garnace.
A god is bored. This is never a good thing, especially if you are chosen to relieve that boredom.
Two people that argue over a fan-fiction are selected to enter a world this god created and prove their arguments by living them!
One, a male that realizes that this brutal world is a chance to live out his desires, the other, a female that holds up Earth's values and morals, believing that just because the world changes, a person does not change their personality.
This story follows the male's point of view.
Obviously, this is a fan-fiction and credit goes to original authors. Also, thanks to Tales of Demons and Gods Wikia, I pillaged like a Viking.
When James woke up five years before, he did not expect to end up in this weird, new world. Here, he found a reality filled with queer rules and magic beyond his imagination. Despite all this, he clung to his peaceful roots that he had been brought up with. With his knowledge, he could have changed the world. However, he did not wish to become some reckless adventurer or fearsome ruler; instead, he only sought to protect his loved ones and live a happy life. Sometimes though, the call of adventure forces itself upon even those who desperately wish to refuse.
Warning: This story has multiple POVs. (But by chapter 15, it kind of narrows down onto James)
This work is (as of now) being co-written by Zalex and Entelechy where Zalex has previously written the story, and Entelechy edits/adds pieces.
Hovestile is a world of magic, dangerous monsters and conflict. Earth is a world of science, dominant humanity and endless strife.
Resources on Earth are scarce, and tensions escalate between nations. Mankind turned to the stars...and failed. Over time, they resorted to more grounded technology, and accessed the world of Hovestile. Hundreds were carefully chosen to enter this world with plans to prepare for colonization. But contact with the humans of Earth was immediately lost.
Over time, the people of Hovestile welcomed any assistance to defeat the monsters threatening their lands. Those from Earth were labeled as Outworld Adventurers, humans with the ability to increase their natural abilities through stats. Those born to Hovestile were referred to as Native Adventurers, original denizens with a natural competence for magic.
Alphonse Kneller is one Outworld Adventurer who dreams of making Hovestile his true home. But on his third dungeon foray, he is betrayed by his adventuring party and left for dead.
As he begins to abandon hope, two young catgirl demihumans appear before him named Kirie and Asa. Their mother, Rinka, offers Alphonse a precarious gift known as the Equivalence Contract. Using this gift, and with two catgirls as adventuring partners, Alphonse seeks to make further contracts and establish the guild known as GRIM.
A story delving into the dark sides of humans and monsters with plenty of light-hearted comedy to balance the scales. A building plot with complexity that delves deep into the world. Guilds, dungeons, conflict and adventure. A story I'm writing because I want to have some variety and fun.
Also, I like catgirls.
Currently planned for near-daily uploads on average the first month, trickling to weekly and then possibly some biweekly depending on word count (sorry, but will be working full-time).

Arslan, an eccentric transmutation alchemist, was quite well known throughout WinterWell for doing strange experiments. The Guild of Alchemists rejected his research results and his funding suspended. Now it's up to him to continue by any means necessary.
However, that may prove difficult, considering that a rogue alchemist organization has taken an interest in his work.
All chapters are being rewritten. Will start posting by 20/05/2019
Although most scenes will be expanded and written in a more descriptive manner and better visual quality, with or without added scenes. ( Going for the immersion... Hopefully.) No significant changes in the plot shall be made and only minor corrections if any at all.
(Also fix my grammar and wording too obviously. Oh, how I hate awkward conversations. )
Release of new chapters shall not be hindered either.
( For accuracy and your opinions on my style, I would reccomend holding off your review, but then again, it's your choice and It doesn't change the fact that it's still me who is writing this. I always manage to mess something up.
That takes skill, mind you. )
After about the tenth time she died, Rayola started to think, that maybe she didn't come out quite right, even by supernatural standards. Of course, the pale white skin and hair, plus the blazing orange eyes might have been a clue and it was getting harder and harder to blend in. To top it all off, she has no memory of who she is and there's an incredibly suspiscious, snarky voice in her head making quips about her life choices. Even worse was the inability to sleep.
At first, she thought that maybe she was just an overly messed up zombie or even a vampire! But she was proven wrong time and time agian... there were too many inconsistencies and it made her uneasy. The final straw was the issue with her own identity. At first she was okay with being her own brand-new person, but as more and more ghosts of her past started to slowly catch up, she had no choice but to set off on a journey...
A journey to discover who she once was, and to find out what had happened to her. It was for no noble cause but merely one for personal salvation. Yet, her actions left behind a legend in her wake.
Note; Still a work in progress so you may encounter some mistakes. Revisions and rewrites may occur before start of the next arc.
For me, writing is a passion I love as much as I love to draw. I love to create different things, and one of my goals was to finish an entire world building project. I started to write this book as a materialisation of that goal, and I shall continue to do so as well. I'm posting the artworks I make alongside this in the 'Artworks' page. It shall be regularly updated. I'm also trying to improve my writing along with it. After all, this is my first attempt at writing for the public to see.
Hope you enjoy!
Note: See change log for more info on specific details about release and chapter irregularities.
I always seem to make these too long when I ask for peoples opinions so I’m not gonna try an exciting description anymore but instead just give you an idea of what to expect.
First off, this is my 2nd attempt at a story but my foundation for this one is much better than the 1st already and I see this going much further and so far its coming together much faster and easier.
So please excuse me if things are not up to publishing standards. Also I tend to confuse your, you’re and so on so sorry to people that triggers ahead of time.
The First Magician follows the story of 15 year old Alex in a post apocalyptic rpg-ish world in the near future. Earth was transformed, monsters appeared and people began being able to use Ki but could not figure out how to use magic.
Alex ends up becoming the first human able to use magic through a series of events and sets in motion events that will change the very future of the human race. He will be somewhat OP simply because he is the only human (at least to start, who knows about later?) who is able to use mana.
Many classic RPG elements have been removed. I didn’t want the story to be like all of the other lit rpg stories on RRL but it also makes the writing easier for me hence the watering down of rpg elements.
UPDATES: I am doing this to relieve stress and for fun so I will release chapters when I can. So far though ive managed to keep up with 2 most days.
CONTENT WARNINGS: There will be some light language but it won't be insane. I might have some gore later on but am unsure and the same for the sexual content. Sexual content isn't super likely as I doubt I can write it well but I put the tag so people cant yell about it if I add some in the future but forgot to add the tag.
COVER ART: Yes it is from the anime Log Horizon. It is a good representation of what earth looks like despite it not being many years in the future.
After a series of unexpected and traumatic events, Matthew, a physicist from futuristic earth, found himself transmigrated into a new world. In this world, humans practice cultivation in order to gain power and survive against the beasts and demons that plague the lands. Now in the body of a youngster, Matthew uses his inquisitive mind to reconcile with this new reality soon discovering the potential his scientific knowledge holds.
Follow him on his journey to power and immortality, answering old and new questions about the nature of the universe while he strives for unrestrained freedom.
1: It is my first attempt at writing anything so any constructive advice is more than welcome. if your comment will be just to insult, don't do it, you will waste time typing and I will waste time reading it and not giving a damn about it.
2: To make it worse English is not my mother language. I'm still learning and through reading and talking is not a problem for me, writing is my weak spot. Though not the only one and not the most important, this is one of the reasons I decided to start writing this novel.
3: I do not own the artwork used as a cover, I found it on google, I liked it A LOT and decided to use it. At the time I tried to contact the creator but received no answer and if he wants me to remove it I will.
With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy it and sorry if you don't :P.
In game of thrones i felt that the Starks received way too much hardships and tragedy. i know that there were vital points of story, and there were times these hardships were building points for their characters, but i feel when every member of a family has been either killed, raped or crippled then they deserve a break.
In my story that break comes in the form of a powerful hunter/general from another world.
I have no intention of altering the story to save every stark, or have them win every time, and some of my favourite characters may even be victims of this plot change as well.
The main character, and there will be several new characters introduced to the storyline, will not just be some over powered guy who makes outrageous decisions that always work out (cough Plot armour) but will be someone that treats the world as a real world and has fears, doubts and is cautious in his decisions. He is susceptible to changing his mind and character traits depending on his experiences in this life.
The story will primarily follow the plot at the beginning with some minor changes, and as more things change they will increase till the entire story is changed at the end.
I am not copying the world of GoT exactly. cultures, politics and nobility may be changed or made up.
Michael Collins, a normal college student living alone, was forcefully stuffed into the body of a dying man by the name of Ruthar Ges Lunar Kinderal III. Ruthar was the son of a conniving noble that had devised a plan to prevent the destruction of the Kinderal Family by the hands of those that would drool over the wealth the family had acquired and hidden. Now, Ruthar, or is it Michael, must survive and navigate through an empire that chases them for their dragon's treasure while his father had moved on to the spirit realm.
With only his honor guard, led by two of the most fearsome men on the planet, he is on the run to find a home to call his own.
The realm is in shock. The princess has been kidnapped. The beautiful, kind, and extremely talented magician princess is gone. Woe to the wretched villains that took her away, screaming into the night. Their weight in gold to the one that rescues her. Ministrels sing with tears how the people miss their princess. The hope of the kingdom is gone.
But maybe, just maybe, that was not the entire truth.
What exactly happened to the princess?
This is a fantasy novel with a gender-bending body-swapping protagonist. There will be NSFW chapters because it is a gender bender. Those will be marked and I will make it so readers that don't want to read them can skip them. Some other chapters might have a little bit here and there but will be both light and brief.

Death is not the end. But actions do have consequences and based on how you lived your life, second chances are possible.
I'd been bullied, brutalized, and ostracized in this life, and the cumulative effect of other's action along with how I'd lived my life allowed me a second chance. I could choose how to reincarnate, who to be, and what Universal constants would impact my next life.
Who wouldn't try to game the system and take all the advantages possible?
Get a System. Become a Prince. And unleash Magic Powers as well as a cool sword!
This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than an essay for school projects so any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!

Megacles has a pretty good life. Also, she is horny, lonely, bored, anxious, and a bit of a drunk. She decides to fix all this with science. It works okay, until she accidentally builds a doomsday device. At least she’s not bored anymore.

Any money made by this book will be spent on drugs and super hot lasers.
Callum is alone in the States applying for a job as an engineer when the world changes forever. In an event called the Emergence he is changed into a creature of legend known throughout many ancient cultures, the trickster fox. Follow Kalia as she descends into villainhood, becoming the greatest thief in Penrith city, outwitting heroes and villains alike!
This story has both Cuteness and Heartache, so if that's not your thing, I'm sorry :). Also contains the temporary death of a side character, which is apparently something I need to warn people about.
(Originally wrote this story on a different site, but I'm trying out royal road.)
Also, I should tell you that this is only one story of an expanded universe that my friends and I are writing in. There is two other stories currently being written, including one that will play an important role later on. We'll see if they upload here too.
"A Tera is not just an evolved beast. Teras might have almost ended humanity's reign over this planet, but they were also the reason that we rose up from the ashes of the cataclysm and fought back against the hordes that sought to vanquish us. Whether you're someone who chooses to depend on your own power or one of those who trusts nothing but the overwhelming power of their weapons, you cannot deny this fact."
In the year 2020, a catastrophic event caused an upheaval of the earth's crust which resulted in the end of the industrial age.
A new age was born, where all the species on Earth, including humans, evolved in order to survive.
200 years later, an 18-year-old teenager who had survived for 8 years in a forest with the help of a trusty Siberian husky walked out to find that humanity had integrated itself with these wondrous, exotic yet deadly evolved beasts which came to be called as Teras.
Also, there seemed to exist a "Path to the Stars", where anyone could grow in power in any method of their choosing by defeating a list of increasingly stronger individuals in combat, who would each bestow them with the materials and knowledge needed to get to the next level.
With only a single clue in hand that might lead him to find just who he was, this man began his journey.

At thirty years old, Phil is an unemployed gamer who struggles to make ends meet. His only source of income is freelance writing (when he feels inspired enough to add another article to his less-than-popular blog). His wife has just walked out on him, leaving him without money, purpose, or food in the fridge.
On the day his wife dumps him, Phil receives a mysterious piece of wetware. A game interface seems to have been implanted in his brain which allows him to see the world through the eyes of an RPG player.
Now that Phil discovers his real-life stats, he can see they’re far below average. With 4 pt. Agility, 6 pt. Strength and 3 pt. Stamina, his most advanced life skill is predictably gaming.
Luckily, real-life stats can be leveled up just like virtual ones. But will it help Phil get his wife back? Can he stop being such a couch potato? Would the new game help him become fitter? Or more successful? Can his gaming skills finally come in handy in real life?

The MC is based on the monk class of many rpgs, but the story isn't Litrpg. Also he will gain non monk abilities after a while.
Fair warning I don't understand the rating system but I'll say M-rated just in case. This is my first story, I accept criticism but I would like the critic to explain the reasoning behind it. Also I'm still figuring how this site works and I have no schedule so updates may be sporadic, at least once a week.
Not a native speaker but in the practices, too lazy to actually get the diploma, I got an average of 9.7 out of 10 at the Cambridge C1 level, the CAE, second highest european level for foreign languages, so it should be no problem. This tale is an offshoot of my Misplaced Dungeon story. Rich Burton is Mary Silvestre’s agent on the heavily polluted world of Tarifax.
The self styled New Gods had been entrusted with five worlds by three of the more adventurous minded Greater Gods. There had originally been five worlds, maybe not the most verdant or prosperous of worlds, but they had been perfectly adequate. Now only three remained and all three were suffering under the mismanagement of the New Gods.
The Gods War, long prophesised had started on Parthia and the local single planet gods there had had some striking successes. Mary Silvestre one of the dungeons seeded by Azurea at the behest of the New Gods had Allied with Ocidon the local god of the seas and managed to ascend to demi-godhood.
Now she has managed to gain access to Tarifax and they are in the process of expanding their power over other worlds. And the Gods War has come to Tarifax with them.
Rich Burton, knight of the consort is Mary’s agent on Tarifax. She has given him a body both strong and hard to damage, skills equipment and money. Lots of money.
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat.
5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style.

“The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated.
“Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage.
“The first thirty…”
“Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her.
“Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly.
“Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.”
Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?”
“Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered.
“You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin.
“Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger.
McKenzie fell on her butt laughing.
“What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red.
“It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim.
Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…”
Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled.
Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room.
“I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly.
This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book.
A Map of the Region
Decades ago, Elcy was a battleship, until her recklessness on the front brought her to forced retirement in a human body. Now back in the fleet, as a common cadet, she must volunteer for a mission she knows nothing about, while fighting to unlock the hidden memories of her past.
A depressed college student struggling with identity problems transmigrates into the body of his avatar from a game Lemuria Online. After dealing with the initial confusion and problems that arise from that kind of situation, he warmly accepts his new predicament and soon becomes Marie Penn, both in body and mind.
Marie's cringe-worthy sense of humor and cheesy one-liners are her trademarks, at least she believes so. Having a hero complex, Marie showcases phenomenal stupidity and loses her endgame stats, going from hero to zero and being forced to struggle with traumatic memories of that event.
She won't stay down for long, however, and begins learning magic as well as slowly making friends, first in her life. Her mind and memories affected by the new world, she mentally reverts to her physical age of fifteen and even develops romantic feelings towards another student.
Marie will try to get her strength back, making many stupid decisions along the way.
No chapters on Sundays.
Thanks for reading!

Chapter release daily at 9:00 AM PST (GMT+7), possibly more if story gets good reception (ie. reviews, comments, follows, etc)
A pretty standard story about a man that gets transferred to a new world, and gains a system to help him survive.
This is pretty close to the first draft of this story, so there will be grammar mistakes until I get down to fixing them. Synopsis, genre and tags will also change as I get more writing done.
I will try to release two to three short chapters a week.
I don't own the cover image; it is just something I found online.
In the world of New Dawn, the citizens seem to be suffering a divine punishment of some sort.
The monsters that plague them are worse then devils, demons, or depraved criminals.
The devils have their own twisted morality, demons are not intrinsically bad—they're just above humans in the food chain—and depraved criminals can at least be killed.
The undying, capricious monsters kill anything and everything, devouring all in their sights like a swarm of locusts. What's more, the lords and kings who should be protecting them seem to be working with these monsters.
When all seems lost, it falls to a young boy to save his people from these monsters… from the players.
In the players' eyes, he is a hidden boss—possibly even the final boss!
In the developers' eyes… what the heck is this bug?!
