The System comes to Earth - and brings an apocalypse like no other. For this is not a System that breaks technology, and replaces it with magic: Nothing that friendly.
It is a Broken system, a fine example of how something intended for good can becoming a plague upon the universe.
Turning anyone into a monster.
Being lucky in many ways, Jonathan and his coworkers find themselves the last hope of humanity.. Oops? No pressure.
What would a Xianxia MC do?
Seriously, what would they do? Asking for a friend.
He was no stranger to strife and the difficulties of life. Living life as an orphan, while attending one of the world’s most affluent schools for the rich, tends to make his 17-year-old life pretty cumbersome. Still, the school gave him what he wanted- a higher education and if that meant he needed to be “the charity case”. Then so be it. Klaus Alexandros Roth, having just graduated top of his class, felt like everything was finally falling into place; He had exciting plans for the future and he was looking forward to this new chapter in his life, however, being abducted shortly after graduation was in no way part of these plans...

Forgive them, but dont forget to point them out.
You will notice large flashy warnings of sexual content and gore. Yes there will be those things, but no sexual abuse or any other overly nasty stuff.

If you could buy superpowers—but they might kill you, would you?
When Raz disregards his late father's advice and looks into getting a superpower of his own, he finds himself trapped in a chaotic underworld of clandestine labs, shadow organizations, and supervillains. Used as a human test subject, he must survive long enough to escape. His only advantage? A nearly useless power—a heads up display.
Contains: monsters, violence, death, dismemberment, gamelit, superpowers, superpower consequences, good guys, bad guys, good guys who might be bad guys, bad guys who think they are good guys, good guys that might go bad, bad guys that might turn good, guns for hire, competence, incompetence, continence, incontinence, conspiracies, and some of what I just said wasn't true.
This story is written in third person limited POV. That means you can expect to know the many of the thoughts and inner dialog of one character, and only see the actions of other characters. This POV does include scenes without the main character, and thus means the reader can and will know things the main character does not.
This novel is complete, and being released a chapter or two at a time.
A dungeon core awakens into its new life. With barely any time to understand its own existence, a group of goblins appears, seeking to settle in the dungeon. In the name of self preservation the dungeon core begins creating abominations that will terrify the world. By breaking all the conventional rules of creating a dungeon, this core develops into an unwitting monster, seeking to undo the status-quo of the world it finds itself in.
This story could be about the Tellask Empire, ruler of a thousand suns and faced with imminent peril at the hands of the Orakh hordes. It could be about Paltai Amberell, the scion of a noble elven House, fallen upon hard times and seeking to find the key that will restore his family's name and save the Empire itself. It could be the story of his voidship, The Viceroy's Pride, powered by magic and crewed by a team of crack marines as they search for adventure and the solution to the Empire's myriad problems.
Instead, this is the story of Daniel Thrush, human electrical engineer, befuddled researcher and survivor of the debacle that was first contact with a spacefaring civilization. Due to a combination of luck, magic, hard work, and more luck he is thrust into the center of events as Earth is shoved onto a much larger stage rife with semi-immortal elves and magical kingdoms that predate the Earthly invention of agriculture.
Earth is outnumbered, and we have precisely one wizard. Dan. He's not very good at it, but he's going to have to learn in a hurry or watch everything he knows get torn apart by massive spacefaring empires straight from the pages of a fantasy novel.
Some readers have noted that the MC tends to be weak willed and pushed around a bit. A significant portion of the story is his character growth into not being a pushover (i.e. him being passive is in the early chapters on purpose). I'm just including this caveat/warning to make sure that readers aren't surprised/upset and that they stick with it until he learns to stand up for himself.
His arc begins to crystallize around chapters 25-27. If that's too long to wait, I get it, I'm just trying to do my due diligence and warn you that the character development is ab it of a slow burn.
This is a combination of Fantasy and Science fiction and will have elements of both. There will be nods to isekai/litrpg/xianxia/wuxia, but ultimately my goal is to take elements from all of them and combine them into my own story. This does mean that I will be deliberately teasing some cliches before doing my own thing.
I have not completely made up my mind on relationships (I am not the greatest at writing them so I tend to shy away from them) but I won't be writing any explicit sex. If it happens, it will happen off screen. Trust me, you don't want to read any of my attempts on that front. It's for your own good.
Other than that, thank you for reading and I love comments. A lot of my goal in writing this is to try and get better at writing and one of the easiest ways to do that is to hear back from people outside of my immediate friends and family as to what works and what doesn't.
Being reincarnated into a cannibalistic, man-eating tribe of fox people wasn't exactly on his wishlist for Christmas, but hey, it could be worse, right?
Between trying to survive the nightmarish monsters that could eat him for breakfast, the freezing winters that made ice look hot, the money-crazy slavers, and his own 'unique' tribe, he felt as though he might have gone a bit mental. Just a bit though.
The fact that he was now a girl probably didn't help either...
After dying quietly in his sleep, Marcus awakens and finds out he has been selected to become A World Administrator. A being who stands amongst the gods and whose job is to raise worlds from nothing and help life flourish. However, not everything is as it seems. Some of the Administrators want to see everything torn asunder while others only exist to bring pain and misery. Will Marcus adapt to his new life in this cold universe, or will he fall prey to the villans living in the darkest corners of the universe?
Authors Note: Hey guys, this is my first real attempt at writing, especially for a genre like this. It will include many Lit Rpg elements, world-building, and a variety of other topics. With that being said, this will be a long series that I wish to update regularly. It will be a bit on the dark side, so fair warning. If you see anything you do not like, IE: Grammar, strange sentence structure, or the characters seem bland, leave a comment or shoot me a message so I can correct the issue.
Upload schedule: 1-3 times weekly, maybe more if I can get some chapters sandbagged.
The Great Collapse shattered the world, altering its terrain and destroying governments. At the same time, it brought magic to the world in a wave of chaos. Only the Gray Mage, who appeared just as suddenly as magic and disappeared just as fast, saved humanity from the destruction magic's arrival brought.
A century and a half later, the world is run by the Orders, the Guilds, and the Families, an uneasy peace between the three as the end of the Third Age of Magic draws near. Ryan Novar, heir of the most powerful Family, was born blind. During his Appraising, however, he learned that he possessed great magical potential, which would be wasted due to his blindness.
Determined to not waste his magical potential and to overcome his blindness through magic, Ryan set a goal for himself: become the second Gray Mage. While working towards this goal, Ryan discovers secrets about the Great Collapse, the Gray Mage, and the paradox that was his own birth.
Release Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays by 11:59 PM CST (+/- 1 day)
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. Currently posting chapters frequently to catch up to the main story!]
No one ever knows the whole story.
Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself.
In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation.
The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter.
Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here!

The River of Fate flows through all known worlds. When an old soldier from a future Earth dies, his soul is traveling to the underworld to be reborn when it is knocked off course by the Voice of the Heavens. He plunges into the River of Fate and is ripped apart and rebuilt by the energies there.
His fragmented memories merge with those of a young cultivator from a heavenly sect. Anger was his constant companion in one life and the memory of a family left behind haunts the other.
He is reincarnated in a world of cultivation, danger, and hope, where his initial plans will be complicated by the wars of those more powerful.
Walk a little with him as he chooses a name and treads an unknown path to immortality.
*In this story, you can expect Xianxia cultivation, a focus on jade and sunset magic, cool techniques and skills, lots of fighting, evil ghosts, and a theme of helping friends and harming enemies.
*Book I is complete, barring some minor edits, and fully released here on Royal Road.
Book II is under way now. The first chapter is out here.
Chapters 1-4 of Book II are available on Patreon for advanced reading right now at the $3 tier. The epub for Book 1 is there as well, if you want to read it that way. Total length is 202,000 words (~732 pages).
*This is not the end of Verse's adventures. Stick around!
*Verse is not intended to be all-powerful due to some secret method, by the way. He has advantages, but they're only intended to make him interesting and bring him on par with other top disciples. The rest is up to him.
*Three chapters a week guaranteed (Wed, Thurs, Sat unless earlier), but sometimes more. Each chapter is 3-4k words, generally, or about 10-15 pages.
An old archmage sees all his lifework destroyed in the flames of zealotry. His friends and fellows are killed, his home destroyed and he is consigned to eternal imprisonment.
But its not the end for Gorren An-Tudok. The old mage has a last trick in his sleeve, one that will see him start a journey into a new world of power and possibilities. The research for revenge and survival will see him ascend to heights unheard of and to reach for divinity itself.
From humble beginnings, through obstacles, victory and loss, friends and enemies and family. Facing himself, destiny and the world, moving through the mysteries of magic, will he manage to reach what he wish for?
The odyssey of the Black God begins.
Raine just wanted some money. All he needed was enough to get his business rolling. But when he agreed to take a much-needed job from his college friend Levin, he hadn’t expected to get stabbed, shot, and chased at midnight in L.A. with a drunk girl in the back seat of his car. And he hadn’t planned on joining a strange organization based in another world, thanks to which he flies off to a private island to suffer weeks of grueling training and endure intensive foreign language study the likes of which he hasn’t experienced since high school.
His friends sold the other world to him as a land of hope and second chances, a simple but beautiful place where he could put his many failings behind him and get a new start. Ignorant, trusting, and naive, he believed them. But they lied.
Please note that the story has a slow start (practically all of my readers say this).
No truck-kun, no death, no clear transition: one moment I was standing in my apartment eating a microwave dinner over the sink and the next I was floating in an endless space filled with small pastel lights.
On the one hand: WTF?!
On the other hand: I doubt my student loans can follow me here...

(This story will not be written in a third-person descriptor, it will be written using First Person Pronouns.) Sorry if this is not your cup of tea.
When referring to oneself in ancient China, people avoided first-person pronouns ("I", "me", "we", and "us"). Instead, a third-person descriptor was used, which varied according to the situation.

She died falling to her death trying to escape by climbing over the wall after her reincarnation.

What would you do if you got a second chance, a chance to redo choices in your past and try to come up with a better solution?
For Trystan, this isn't just a theoritical question, through a bit of luck, and assistance from a dying friend, Trystan has been thrust backward in time. Now he finds himself before the Tower's rise, before the System, before humanity was transported into the Tower for an intergalactic conquest they never agreed to, before Humanity's fall, and he has a chance to alter the future. To keep Humanity from being destroyed or enslaved.
The real question is can he do it? Can he find the strength inside of himself to save his family, friends and loved ones? Can he rise up and teach and lead other's to finding true strength, or will he be doomed to repeat the past, to see the fall of everything that he held dear.
The tear in reality led to a new world, one that promised fortune, prestige and a deeper understanding of the universe.
Those that entered found only death.
Four survivors are stranded in a strange and hostile world, at the mercy of forces they cannot understand. Their only path forward is to travel among the ashes of a broken and dying land searching for a way to survive, to endure - and to make their way back home.

On the one-year anniversary of Epilogue, Etzy's back <3
This story is a proto-cyberpunk thriller set in near-future Seattle. As with all my stories, the focus is on characters above everything. This is one of the more-action heavy stories I've written—but as always, expect a lot of dialogue, realistic characters, and complicated drama without easy answers. There's no gore and I don't describe violence in explicit detail, but my stories do tend toward the darker side of life, so please be aware as you dive in.
Chapters whenever I publish them, no specific schedule. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think :)

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure
I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been well prepared.
Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks)

There's monsters to kill, towns to build, mysteries to uncover, crafting to master, and fishing to enjoy.

Echoes of Rundan is a Royal Road and Patreon exclusive fantasy LitRPG that starts with Landfall. Fair warning: the beginning is a little slow.
Chapters are uploaded every other day!
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations.
Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it.
Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
Axel Nal is out of luck and out of time.
He has failed every single induction ceremony and it is his last chance to Exceed to a higher class. At his wit's end, he desperately tries one last time at Exceeding, expecting to encounter absolute failure once again.
...except something was different this time.
Had lady luck finally given him a boon?
Had he received a class the world had never seen before?
Melding gambling, adventure, and magic, the Exceed System invites you to join Axel and his companions on a crazy ride through the Five Kingdoms.
Munch was supposed to be the warm-up boss.
He’s the smallest and weakest of seven brother Minotaurs, the legendary Minotaurs of Seven Groves. He is willing to do anything to help his family, even die.
When he makes a careless mistake, and the Knights Courageous ultimately capture his brothers, Munch struggles to come to terms with himself.
With twin curses that prevent him from leveling up his magical or physical abilities, Munch is virtually useless in battle.
Even so, he resolves to do everything within his power to bring his brothers back.
In Munch’s epic quest, he discovers a hidden strength within himself. Something not seen since ancient times. Something not even the Knights Courageous could have anticipated.
Note: This is a pre-drafted novel of which I am working through the second write-through. I intend to publish every Tuesday and Friday, November 2019 through April 2020.
Update: Beginning in January, I will be splitting my chapters up into shorter subchapters. The overall schedule will not change. I will continue to post two full chapters each week. Each chapter will end on a Tuesday or a Friday.
That was the sound that ended it all…
After he closed his eyes and lost feeling in his body, Lev felt nothing... No pain, no irritation, no worries, no anger, no happiness, and no sorrow... He couldn't feel his body, nor could he perform complex thoughts. He was fading, becoming one with the void. All his hardships are fading, but so are all his dreams. All his enemies were being forgotten, but won't so his friends?
If being transmigrated to the body of a bogey isn't bad enough, then try freeing yourself from the shackles of slavery whilst climbing the tribe's social ladder. From weakest bogey to strongest monster.
After the world ended and reality broke, everyone had... different opinions about how it should all be put back together again.
Humanity's solution centered around trying to revive an entity known as the Overseer of All Things, an ancient machine god which was shattered into pieces during the apocalypse. In return for the human's devotion, it gifted them with the tools to fight the monsters which had come to dominate the broken fragments of the world - such as [Classes], [Skills], and most importantly, the ability to [Level Up].
Sláine E. Catháin honestly doesn't give a crap about any of that. A warrior rabbit-girl hailing from a different System, she's decided to come to the human's corner of reality because their methodology has lead to them becoming extremely powerful, and even if it's in the foreign land of Arpege, Sláine intends to die a legend. Naturally, she bites off a bit more than she can chew, and what started as a simple quest to beat up the biggest bad guys she can find is soon filled with drama, mysteries, friendship, love, occasional discussions of how best to hide a body and - ugh - stat optimization.
A dark comedy yuri LitRPG with an ultimately sweet and hopeful tone where the main couple are battle partners whose love language involves killing monsters for each other. Updates MWF!
One day in 2019, the United States of America finds itself transported to a new world.
What will happen if a modern superpower from Earth finds itself in a world with magic and technology ranging from the medieval era to World War 1? F-22 Raptors vs wyverns and biplanes. Arleigh Burke-class destroyers vs wooden ships, mage ships, and dreadnaughts. M4 carbines vs bow n’ arrows, staffs, and bolt-action rifles. Featuring aggressive expansionist empires and magical kingdoms, what will the United States do?
P.S. I will do weekly updates every Sunday of chapters with about 1000-2000 words each.
P.P.S. Cover art is not mine.
P.P.P.S. Maomi (A friend of mine and no her actual name is not Maomi) is my editor and future cover artist. Say thanks to her for being involved with this!
P.P.P.P.S At this point, there’s too much ps, but one last thing. This is my first novel and I’m pretty sure I’m not a good writer, so this is like a “practice” novel with one of my less good story ideas (Don’t worry I take this seriously and plan to finish it).
My name is Johnny Rico, and I was born to an island that has rarely seen good times.
Between the machinations of Hydra, the greed of Cobra, and the do well interventio of the Justice League, or the Avengers. Val Verde has suffered.
I have obtained the coveted title of the Supreme Leader. All of Val Verde is mine to command. Yet I have also inherited every problem that the previous Supreme Leader had neglected.
It is as they say, there is no foundation quite like rock bottom.
It was dark, pitch black. Where am I? Where was I last? I died. Am I still dead? A light so dim, yet so blindingly bright to me appeared in a vertical line. The line grew wider and wider, all until the stone slab above my coffin was completely removed. I removed it, I lifted it, without even willing it. And my body continued to move until it was outside of the crypt.
It was night, but there was a full moon. And a little girl in front of me. She clutched a black book to her chest as if it were the last thing she had left in this world. I've heard stories of this, I imagined the possibility, but I never thought it would happen to me.
Tears streaked down her cheeks. She choked the words out. "Please, save my papa!"
The world is dying. Heaven and Hell collapsed and seeped into it and humanity must try to survive in the new nightmarish wonderland, as God consumes them to gestate and be reborn. Countless heroes have been sent on the Pilgrimage, an ancient quest to try to steal into Eden and slay God, but all have failed.
The Scions have been locked up in the city all their lives. They’re used as unwilling soldiers, made to protect others from the creatures that breach the seals. Reviled by some, worshipped by others, they have no say over their own destiny.
Until the day Kayla, Darren, Vivien and Joshua finally meet and start planning their escape and their own journey to kill God and save themselves.
Updates every tuesday, thursday and saturday.
The first book in the series is finished and posted! Book 2 "At the Caverns of Silence" starting soon!

Charlie had never felt comfortable in their own skin. Enduring the taunts and teasing that echoed from their youth had become all too commonplace. Most adults don't think twice about staring at someone who looks different. They may not speak the insults, but they are felt just the same.
This book is a prequel to Adventurer, it is independent and stand alone, but it does contain spoilers that will give away world elements of that work.
Nextlife offered the ultimate solution to Charlie's problems. Not only were they able to participate in the development of whole new worlds, they could find the perfect one. A world where Charlie could become the ultimate expression of their desires, dreams, and aspirations. After all, a dungeon isn't confined by the constraints of human interpretation.
Join Charlie as they dive headfirst into the world of Elysium!

Authors Note: I understand that gender discussions are not for everyone. If gender fluid concerns are an issue for you please consider not reading this story as it may upset you. If you can withhold your judgement, it is not a heavy topic of the narrative, but it is the MC's motivation to become what they become. I hope that this note helps folks.
