The only places I have posted the story and allow it to exist are on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub, and my Patreon.
So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything.
Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story.
Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon.
The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday.
Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.
To Play With Magic
The Rewrite is live! And almost completely caught up too!
Dragons, Catgirls, Guns, and Magic. Oh, and the ability to stop time. What more could a modern gal want?
Well... If my past would stay locked in a dark corner back on Earth, that'd be nice.
Right. There was that one other thing. The world is coming to an end. But that seems to happen every Tuesday these days.
*LitRPG-Isekai start with a return to Earth to stop the System apocalypse goal.
Updates Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Still a first draft, but with a bunch of edits from you guys thrown in. The rewrite is over at the link above. Thanks for the feedback that made it possible.
This story is only available on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub(under a different title) and my Patreon. If you find it anywhere else, please reach out to me. Thank you.

"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?)
How would you react if one day you found yourself in an environment running on tropes and clichés?
For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this rhetorical question became uncomfortably real on the day he woke up on a strangely pristine island country in the middle of the Atlantic. Without memories, surrounded by countless characterless placeholders, and with a classic harem protagonist and his various love interests for friends, he tries his best to fit in and figure out what's going on.
That would be difficult enough already, yet his investigation into the rules governing the world, sabotaging the harem tropes, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes, ends up drawing the attention of the world's nebulous narrative...
Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.
MARVEL: GAME MAKER SYSTEM
Alex was an ordinary person with the dream of one day being transmigrated to a magical world.
But what he didn't expect is that he would be transmigrated to a world much more than that, a world he knew very well, but instead of being given a system that would empower him, he was given a system that allowed him to make games, and the more people played, the more powers he would get.
Tony Stark: I hate this! I can do in real life everything this Watch Dogs guy does, but why can't I stop playing?
Hulk: HULK HATES DARK SOULS!!! HULK SMASH DARK SOUS ARRRHHHHGGG!!!
Nick Fury: If any agent can't complete the Hitman game by next week, that agent will be fired from the Shield!
A world of superheroes, but who controls everything is "only" a game developer.
Dungeon Core/Realm Heart
Dao Lord Brandr has cheated death many times over the millennia, enough to know that this time he should have died. There was just no surviving what had happened to him.
Fortunately or unfortunately, he did. Well... that depends on what you call surviving really. His body is gone and so is pretty much all of his mighty cultivation base. To add to this, he has suffered severe damage to his soul and as if that wasn't bad enough he's lost, far away from any world he knows and maybe even his universe.
Now, he's just learned from a being called a sprite that he's some sort of sentient mystic realm called a dungeon and that just for the crime of existing, there would be legions of enemies planning to pillage and destroy him.
It's okay though. Apparently, he can make legions of his own. Seeing what he has to work with, Brandr decides that perhaps, all is not lost after all...
Heather the Necromancer
Heather was a normal girl living in an abnormal world. When the visitors came, they struggled to understand humans and their ways. It was through video games they began to learn, and then they came up with a plan. They created a virtual world of magic and dragons where people could translate and become parts of the game. Through this world, they watched and learned, growing in their understanding of us.
She knew little about it, only what came across the occasional tweet or blog post. She knew that people went into the world known as New Eden because they volunteered. She also knew that rarely other people were forcefully drawn in; these were referred to as the chosen.
Heather didn’t pay much attention to it all. For most of the world, things went on like they always had. She had classes to attend and boys to tease, and her cell phone was her world. That was until she woke in a forest clearing and realized she had been chosen.
Draconic Karma Dungeon
A sapient Dungeon Core appears in a world where a System god created Dungeon Cores in order to try to rid the world of evil.
The Core decides to do this using the power of dragons and karma!
And to help nice people whenever possible while at it.
I normally plan on releasing chapters every Monday, but as my examen’s period has started, I can’t guarantee when the next chapter will come. Probably end-of-May or early-June.
Power Initialization [Power Crafting LitRPG]
Weekly release on Thursday.
It's only a month away from high school graduation and Elias Newton's eighteenth birthday. Yet, Eli's whole world is rocked to its foundation when everyone on the planet above the age of fifteen is granted one or more powers from the enigmatic System. Each power seems to be handpicked to fit their new wielders fondest memories... or their greatest fears.
Sounds great when your first power is Teleportation, but things take a drastic turn now that everyone has the power to do what they wish for better or worse.
*LitRPG system with powers, unique stats, power crafting, merging, evolution, and more.
The Law of Averages
What young boy doesn't crave adventure? What young man doesn't wish to be a superhero?
But time marches on, and life grows dull with responsibility. Is it any wonder that old dreams are forgotten?
Welcome to The Law of Averages: In which a man is dragged solidly out of his comfort zone. Be careful what you wish for, you never know when it will come true.
This story follows Daniel Newman as he adjusts to a strange new world. One where superpowers are for sale, where heroics are frowned upon, and where life is constantly defying Daniel's expectations. Dan always thought that he was destined to be normal, but one world's normal is another world's special.
The Law of Averages now has a Patreon page!
Average chapter length is 7.5k words.
Tim wakes up to find he is naked and alone in a fantasy world that has officially labeled him an Ogre in what he believes to be a cruel joke. Before he can get his bearings, Tim is enslaved and put to work killing other monsters for his new masters. Kindhearted and used to being pushed around, Tim must find his spine and turn the tables on a world that would see him dead or in chains.
Intended as a slow burn progression and character progression story, there will be no harems amongst the primary cast of characters. More Gamelit than Litrpg, the text boxes are more frequent in the beginning but taper off as the protagonist paraphrases more mundane information in the same way a normal human being would.
Quill & Still
Shem is a backwater, a place where ambition gives way to peace and the quiet life.
Sophie Nadash once yearned to understand life and chemistry. Now a disillusioned scientist of middle age, she yearns to set aside pipettes and polymerase forever.
A chance encounter with the Goddess Artemis sets her on the path to becoming an [Alchemist] in the Shemmai village of Kibosh. Freed from the hustle of Earth, she can relax, make friends, and rediscover her love for chemistry through its mystical precursor.

A Beginner's Guide to Napping, Sunbathing, and Slaughtering Your Prey
Fang is a simple cat.
Fang likes napping in the sun.
Fang does not like being called Chairman Meow.
Fang likes his belly being scratched for precisely 17.329 seconds.
Fang does not like being punted between dimensions.
Fang likes hunting and killing defenseless wildlife.
Fang does not like mysterious blue boxes that appear out of thin air.
Fang is having a Very Bad Day.
A few things to note:
Fang is a cat soul in a cat body, and that's not going to change any time soon. No cat girl evolution or possessed puppet or any of that.
The slice of life tag is there for a reason. There is no epic tale here, only a cat doing cat things in a (hopefully) interesting setting.
The game elements are pretty light, mostly there for flavor, so don't expect a huge amount of crunch.
Nature is cruel, and cats are crueler than most.
Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull.
Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time?
Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours.
Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow?
I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.'
I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
[Goal of 1 chapter per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies]

The Flying Emporium
After transmigrating and getting the whole deal of benefits: a class, a subclass, and even a System, Severin was ready to set out and conquer the world.
If only he wasn’t stranded in the middle of nowhere. And if only he was able to leave this small wooden hut.
“Well, if I can’t leave, then I’ll better make sure others come to me!”

Kira Hawthorne was just another teenage girl until the day a 'god' told the world their 'realm' was getting assimilated, since they lost some War no one on Earth even knew about.
A System is installed on the whim of a very old and capricious god. Kira immediately gets trapped in a pocket dimension, and emerges to find a once familiar world turned foreign... And very hostile.
The 1st floor of the World Spire has been humanity’s home for as long as anyone can remember. With cities and towns scattered across several million square miles, most residents live out their years within protective walls. Simultaneously guarded and oppressed by powerful cultivators—people who can utilize qi to perform superhuman feats—the average citizen learns early on to both respect and fear those that keep the deadly Spirit Beasts away.
When Samantha receives a quest notification to become a cultivator herself, she goes against her family’s wishes and leaves the relative safety of her town to complete it. She knows that becoming a cultivator will change her life, but she has no idea how much the journey will cost her.
* New chapters release Mondays at 8PM CST/ 9PM EST! *
The Hero Without a Past
When you wake up on the roof of a burning building, in a city under attack by aliens, you know it's going to be a bad day.
When you can't remember your name or your past, you know it's going to be a bad week.
When you start seeing messages that tell you to level up?
Time to settle down for the long haul.
A LitRPG about alien invaders, superhuman defenders, and one poor guy stuck in the middle with a serious case of memory loss.
Updates every 4-5 days.
Note for readers: while most chapters are in first person, a number of chapters with different third person POVs are titled 'Interlude'. These chapters also have an impact on the story, and the terminology is a personal choice.
Hey, what would you do after you got isekai-ed?
Look! A cockroach villain has appeared. Let's kill him before he messes things up. Too cruel? That kind of character is always introduced to be killed by the protagonist anyway so I'm doing the world a favor here. Less CO2 emission. It's time to "Go Green" guys, even in another world.
See over there, that's a trash young master type right there. What do I do? Endure the initial insults and provocation then dispose of him when no one sees of course. Why make things difficult?
Hmm, a pretty girl in peril. Potential love interest there… but no, I have enough problems as it is. At the very least, I won't help her just 'cause she's a female. Same goes for males. What? I support gender equality.
Hey, I know the clichés, what did you think I was going to do? Simply let it run its course? Well duh, I'll twist it to my benefit.
-This is a power fantasy story. Weak to strong, strong to stronger.

Master of the Loop
Life in a fantastical world didn’t add up to everything Sylas thought it would be. There were no pretty ladies goading him, there were no overpowered items and abilities tossed his way, and there was no calm and peace. Instead, he was tossed directly into a hellhole some few hours before it was to be invaded. That was it, he figured. His fantasy adventure in another world would be a short-lived one. He’d die and that would be it. Except...
You have died.
A ‘Save Point’ discovered.
You will be returned to the ‘Initial Save’ point.
The Last Ship in Suzhou
Ripped from the comfort of our world, David and Alice must face the demons of the past and enemies of their own making. The dictates of Fate and Karma push the universe to behave in a certain way and cultivation is an act of defiance. To defy the heavens is to change the world, and nothing ever changes. Except when it does.
Xianxia and isekai, done in a different way.
Everything has happened before and every instrument sounds the same.
Grudges held for generations, with no sure source of blame.
From this world seed would the skies cast a die.
But it doesn't change, it doesn't learn why.
Who would dare to challenge the lie?

Saga of the Soul Dungeon
When Caden dies in an accidental fall, he is merged with a dungeon core in another world. The problem with that? The dungeon core wasn't dead, and he has share mind-space with it.
And that doesn't take into account mastering his new abilities well enough to escape from the powerful wizard that is, understandably, leery about allowing a dungeon to escape.
Even after he manages to escape he needs to found and manage a dungeon.
Of course the location he chose might have a few issues of its own.
He is on the border of two human nations who are not particularly pleased to share.
A sentient plant race claims the dungeon as sacred ground.
And, amidst the chaos, teams of adventurers just want to make a living and figure out how to deal with the latest challenge.
Just so readers know, Caden is not a murder-hobo. He is a genuinely nice person trying to make the best of his situation. If you want a main character that revels in killing people, this is not the book for you.
This is a reworking, and continuation, of my original novel into first person. And it is going great! The writing is well past where my original novel got to.
This work will never be dropped. Hiatuses may happen due to life, but I will never abandon this fiction.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor].
Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony?
A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price.
This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick.
Published here, Scribble Hub and patreon. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed, with no pre-planning.)
An Unbound Soul
When Peter suffers a too-close encounter with a truck, he finds himself reborn in another world. At first glance it is a perfect fantasy land. There's magic to play with, elves singing in the forest and a hyperactive catgirl neighbour. There's even a System that lets him earn skills and level up. But it isn't long before he notices that the world is far too perfect. Just why is everyone so nice? Can Peter accept the alien morality of this world's self-proclaimed protector, or will he seek to overthrow her?
Set after the events of A Lonely Dungeon, a few hundred years after the rebirth of civilization, this is a story about an earthling falling into Erryn's new world and the subsequent struggles of himself and Erryn to understand each other. It's a slow paced slice of life, and while there are pieces of action, don't expect any immediate grand conflict between Erryn and Peter.
Published here, scribblehub, patreon and amazon. Two new chapters a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
A Record of Ash & Ruin: The Grieving Lands [LitRPG]
How much would you sacrifice to slay the gods?
Gesthe is a world where the whims of gods and magic hold sway. Cruel and capricious gods force mortal champions to fight and die in their eternal game.
Taken from his world and his memories stolen by the Divines, our hero takes up the name of the first and greatest of heroes, Gilgamesh. He is forced to adapt to the game-like world, assimilating skills and dark abilities that he can barely comprehend.
Will this be a hero’s journey, or a descent into madness in the pursuit of greater power?
*Updates every Friday
*Villain main lead. Do not expect an aspirational story.
*High fantasy grounded in gritty realism. Do not expect contrived conveniences you would normally associate with the genre.
A young man stumbles into a deep, lost cavern, he seeks power and prestige, the ability to become someone, anyone, worthy of praise.
When he finds an ancient crypt festooned in jewels and precious things he thinks himself the luckiest man alive.
And then the lich in that crypt wakes up and kills him.
That’s me. I’m the lich. Honestly, I just want to go back to sleep, and there’s no one, no ‘god emperor,’ sect, or uptight martial artist that’s going to stop me.

Battleforged: Book 1 - THE BILLION CREDIT HEIST - An Earth Apocalypse LitRPG Adventure
To do list for the post apocalypse:
1. Survive the orcs rampaging through your city.
2. Survive the pod trying to steal your mind.
3. Pull off the greatest heist of all time.
It still amazed Eric how much the world’s end mirrored the movie his obsessed mother had put into production… set to release just three days after the Apocalypse.
Only problem was, in the real world there were no chosen ones destined to fight the beast hordes now slaughtering countless millions in every major city on Earth.
But humanity wasn’t completely helpless.
You really could level up in this brave new world, and embrace magic, peril, and limitless power!
So long as you didn’t mind a 90% mortality rate in alien vegetative pods as happy to turn you into topsoil as give you any shot at mastering a System designed to benefit elite invaders. Not fragile humans just trying to survive.
But Eric was all about beating the odds…
Even if it killed him.
Author's Note - I plan in releasing 1 chapter a day for the first thirty days. I will then be posting at least 3 times a week. This story is for anyone who enjoys slow-rise-to-power story arcs!
Our hero will start out humbled and desperate, struggling just to survive. And slowly, with time, diligence, and training his butt off, he'll evolve into a powerhouse that will force even his enemies to treat him with respect.
And nothing beats the post-apocalyptic blues like stealing an absolute fortune in gold, right out from under the noses of everyone trying to kill you!
Enough gold to live like a king… or start a city of your own!
Schedule Update: I plan on releasing 3 chapters a week every Monday / Wednesday / Friday Please enjoy!
Deathworld Commando: Reborn
Deathworld Commando: Reborn Synopsis-
What happens when humanity's greatest weapon gets a second chance at life? Commander Kronos wasn't even considered to be a human but rather a weapon to be used for the greater good of his species. He was grown in a tube to be the perfect weapon, so he lacked many emotions/experiences most people take for granted. Upon experiencing some emotions for the first time he was quickly eliminated by humanity and was reborn into a world of swords and sorcery, getting a second lease on life.
Of course, he didn't see it that way at the start and thought he was being fooled. It took a near-death experience and a lot of growing up, but he finally decided to keep his promise to his former comrades and give his new life an honest try.
Embark on the story of the former Commander of Hades Squad as he settles into his new life as the Dark Elf Kaladin Shadowheart.
Kind Words From Some Of My Readers-
I absolutely love your writing style, as it makes the world feel so alive. Every action makes sense, and every time something happens to Kaladin, my heart races, whether it's him fighting to his hard time understanding feelings and such. To the thrill of him escaping, to his recapture back to his escape again. And that heart-pounding experience as he meets up with the adventures, to when they betray him. Your world feels so alive, I am in awe, and I cannot wait till this gets an anime. Thank you for all you do - sincerely a book fanatic. - Fallenking101 on Discord.
I just binged read from Prologue 1 in a period of 2 days. This right there has got to be one of the best stories I've read on HFY. Amazing writing with a captivating world and setting, relatable and "Human" characters, and a great conflict driving the story. I need to see how it ends, and I hope the end is far away. - Choice_Safe471 on Reddit.
I've done exactly what Choice_Safe did, binged it hard. I gotta say, bro, I was a sobbing mess last night reading volume 1. I let myself get immersed, and I was completely pummelled by that last chapter. You've got another big fan! - Ronin-Vs-World on Reddit.
I love your story a lot, and I love the effort you put into it to make each chapter long enough to take some time to think about what's going on. You've got an awesome twist on the normal idea of a reincarnation fantasy with the MC being a lot more serious than some other all-powerful godlike idiot of an MC. Yours has got to be one of the best I've read so far. - bengordo on Royal Road.
Found it on the rising stars. I truly enjoy the crisis the MC went through. The world of discovery and the stress keeps me reading till late in the night. Thanks for sharing your story. - Germain on Royal Road.
Lots of stories have a good premise and not a good execution. You have found a way to tell this story so well and the ideas behind it are so good. I can't get enough. Keep up the good work! - Anonymous Ko-Fi Donator

Things to Expect From My Story-
This is a reincarnation fantasy first and foremost. There are elements of soft-Sci-Fi but Sci-Fi is not the primary genre.
This is a progression story. It starts from before reincarnation, then to his eventual rebirth, and will hopefully follow his life as he continues to change and grow.
This story focuses on the rebirth of the MC and his new life in a new world. Although there is combat and adventure, this story is mainly about the MC's personal growth/withering as a person. It is about the connections he forms with the people in this new world, for better or worse.
This is not a power fantasy nor a military/mil-sim story. Although the MC was a powerful soldier in his previous life that is no longer the case considering the circumstances of his reincarnation. However, this does not mean the MC is weak nor has he forgotten about his past life. He will become stronger in a "realistic way" through time, training, and overcoming obstacles.
This is the story of a former soldier who was used as a tool by his species. He is attempting to live a new "normal" life on his terms. The MC openly rejects his previous life as he strives to be a better version of himself. However, the world has different plans.
Hello and welcome to my story, this is my first attempt at a fiction so feel free to leave suggestions/comments if you see anything. Thanks for clicking on my story and I hope you give it a try.

Kay didn't have the best life. Most of it was fairly standard, but his past was marred by a tragedy that changed his entire world. Years later he had managed to mostly rebuild his life, and had started making something of himself.
And then he woke up in a different world. A world of fantasy and [Classes], a world much more dangerous than the one he'd been born in.
The new world he's been dumped into doesn't hold anyone's hand. Even with the bonuses that being an Outworlder brings won't keep him perfectly safe. One mistake could kill him in an instant.
But maybe, with a little bit of help, he could start over once more, and start to make something of himself again. And maybe, just maybe, that something he makes himself into could be amazing. And bloody.
As I'm leaning right now there probably will be sexual content later on, but I might change my mind later. There definitely will be death, gore, violence, and blood. Lots and lots of blood.
I changed my mind. No adult stuff in this story.
A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right?
(This story is also posted on Royalroad. If you see this story anywhere besides Royalroad, Scribblehub, or Patreon it has been stolen).
What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by.

I'm Not The Hero
Orrin is NOT the hero of the story. That would be his best friend, Daniel. Somehow they stumbled into this new world with magic. While Daniel is the Hero, Orrin gained a new class Utility Warder. Who brought them here? Why does Orrin seem to have powers even the Hero doesn't? And where can Orrin find a good cup of coffee?

A supersoldier from future earth, after a mission gone wrong, is betrayed and hunted by the people he once fought for. However, through a freak twist of events involving a stolen classified portal and some odd serums, he ends up getting dragged along by a psychopathic criminal through this portal, never to be seen again.
Until he woke up to the sound of... crying?
A super-soldier is reincarnated as a child in another world, one full of new people, places, and opportunities. This time, he's dead set on living it in a brighter, happier way, thinking he's finally gotten a life away and safe from the Earth and its dark, manipulative hands. Cutting Edge - A Progression LitRPG
In a world where one's worth is determined by their inborn trait, the few that are born without are ostracised at the best of times, and killed in the worse.
Kent was ready to follow in his parent's footsteps and become a farmer to nourish the world and his peers with the nature-aligned trait he was bound to develop. Until the due date came and went.
Leaving Kent to be one of the few that are deemed to be the enemy of Issar.
With the lack of a trait one is said to be unable to level, gain skills, or progress in any meaningful way.
Now, at the advent of an Invasion, to right an ancient wrong, how can he guarantee his survival?
Can he claim his own place in the world?
And how would you act when the system desperately wants you to be edgy?
USUALLY UPDATES SUNDAYS
Note: The skill stuff and proper LitRPG elements will begin in the mid-ten chapters. And they will be crunchy.
Note: This is not going to be a farming story. Mostly Murderhobo
WARNING: THIS STORY HAS A SLOW START. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
We all grew up hearing stories about heroes and villains, but what would we do if we were to be part of one?
One night, a bioweapon escaped from its laboratory in Zalcien, only to die in a dark alley.
One night, a young man lent a helping hand, only to die alone in the dark.
One night, a deity of death saw two lost souls and offered one a second chance in the other's body.
Now a strange creature made of darkness, James has to deal with his new form in a strange new world where superpowers, heroes and villains are commonplace, far away from his home. Watch as he learns how to use his powers, as he meets allies and enemies and how, when facing the paths of heroism and villainy, he chooses a third way somewhere in between.
Follow the story of James, a lost Earthling soul, as he becomes Silhouette, the mysterious power in the shadows.

Greetings fellow humans. This is my first story on Royal Road and my first long-term project written in English, so I do hope you will have some mercy in your heart when reading.
So, as you may have understood, this is a story with super-heroes - which is quite ironic for my first story considering all of the other ones planned are fantasy - and as such will take place in a modern-like setting.
Despite dark themes and gory scenes making their way into the story, it is still a super-hero world with the logic that matches, so expect characters to survive nuclear explosions without a scratch and yet to get defeated by a rubber ducky - as well as similar dark humor, thus the comedy part.
In Clawed Grasp
For so long he had waited.
Five years in the prime of his life, wasted. And now finally, after so long, he was returning to society, ready to resume his life. And this time he wouldn't make the same mistakes. This time, he would do it right.
Yet just as he was about to gain his freedom...everything changed. He found himself in a new world without explanation, a world of magic and possibilities beyond his wildest dreams.
His second chance is different from what Cayden had expected, but he's determined to make the most of it.
Generic reborn in a fantasy world litRPG. My plan with this story is to be a little more standard webnovel: longer story with consistent upload schedule.
Bob was a good guy. He had done everything you were supposed to do. He exercised, he kept to a healthy diet, he'd studied hard, gotten excellent grades, and was working towards his masters. Somehow, things just weren't working out for him like he'd been told they would. He was stuck in a thankless position, constantly passed over, and it seemed that the only being on earth that cared about him was his cat.
Then things got worse.
Never back a man into a corner unless you want to find out just how hard he can fight.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days.
Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer.
Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard.
Release: Three chapters/week, 1.8k-2.3k words per chapter.
Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road
Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable.
The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.

Hannah has a routine. Wake up, take a shower, go to school, go to work, come home, and pass out. It's a perfectly normal routine for a perfectly normal girl who does not have to remember how her limbs work every morning because of haunting nightmares of being a very different creature in a very different world. But that's all she thinks they are—nightmares—until one night they're all too lucid, and her body on Earth starts to change. Slowly, Hannah's humanity starts to slip away... but surely she can continue just sticking to routine, right? It'll be fine. It has to be.

Fated To Fall: A Transmigrator LitRPG Tale
She had welcomed Death with open arms, and was more than happy to spend her afterlife floating in the void. Until a Goddess decides she has better plans for her and offers her a choice any fantasy loving geek would die for. However after accepting the offer she learned the hard way that one should always read the fine print, especially when dealing with a God.
Now her new life has begun, only she's been dropped into the world of her favorite game. Except, instead of becoming a side character or even one of the heroes of the game she's inhabiting the body of the game's final boss, 8 years before she became the villainess. Now she has to navigate a hostile home where her own father sees her as nothing more than a pawn on a chessboard, and her stepmother wants her dead to free up succession for her son. She has to try to navigate the confusing relationship between herself and her stepbrother, who could be her greatest ally or her most dangerous foe. The original Liliana Rosengarde fell from grace and burned the queendom on her quest for revenge. Can she prevent that fate from happening and save the queendom, and her own life?
And maybe, she's not the only one who needs to be saved.
She'll need to gather allies, both human and beast, if she has any hope of subverting the destiny that was already written for her.

Book 1 goes live on Amazon and Audible on May 16th, 2023. Chapters for Book 2 are continuing to post here.
Thanks for all your support Royal Road.
Dragon Sorcerer on Amazon
Is it snark if you're a dragon?
Nico, a young dragon of barely fifty, is rudely chased from his home by a group of murderous adventurers. Of his entire clutch, only he and one sister remained, but now he is alone.
Isolated and hungry, Nico’s magic awakens, bonding him with Cami, a brave, young woman.
In order to hide from the adventurers’ pursuit, Nico takes on human form. However, once they discover that both he and Cami have magical ability they are required by law to attend the Imperial Academy.
Of course, he has to hide his true nature, which isn't always easy, given a dragon sized ego.
A publication date has been decided on for Amazon. The story will publish on May 16th on Amazon with KU and Audible at the same time.
That means that the content of the first book will be pulled 3-4 days before that. Material for book 2 will continue to be here.
This is a litrpg story complete with levels, classes, stats, gear, spells and skills, and some limited quests. The stats mean something for the development of the character but full stat sheets are only repeated in their own chapters after there have been changes. You could enjoy the story without the stats but I believe they add to it.
There is some romance which will be handled slowly. This occurs between multiple characters but is NOT harem in any way, nor will it be poly. There will simply be more than one couple in the story, each working through romances in their own way.
I included the gore tag because there is some significant violence but I don't believe it is particularly bloody. The story is told from the first person perspective of Nico, but there are
a number of interludes which tell the story from Cami's perspective but in 3rd person. She could be considered the second main character.
My goal is to post several chapters in rapid succession and then a chapter every day M-F.
The chapters will vary in length between 1800-4000 words as the story dictates. Most will be between 2000-2500 words. The prologue is shorter.

This is an simple story written by a amateur but I do enjoy the stories I write at least. If you like stories like reincarnation of the strongest sword god or the lords empire then this is for you. If you are expecting blood pumping fights and hilarious light hearted dialogue then this is for you. But if you are expecting game of thrones level world building or character dev then this is not for you. Its light, simple and fun. I have a lot of errors to edit out, especially towards the middle chapters so bear with me there
Comments and criticism are always welcome!!
What do you call a mage incapable of casting spells? In this story, we usually call him Terry.
When the boy is accepted into Arcana Academy, his talent in the pillars of mana foundation awes everyone. All the bigger is the eventual disappointment when Terry turns out to be an utter failure at spellwork.
Diagnosis? Major aspect impairment. No cure. Ever.
Faced with expulsion, Terry is blessed with the unexpected kindness of others. Terry loses his spot in the Academy but in exchange, he finds a home with a family.
Terry starts to train as a pure mana cultivator but never stops looking for his own path as a mage – day after day, season after season, always searching for compatible spellwork…
Until finally, Terry’s perseverance earns him a single spell – the only spell he will ever be able to cast.
Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week.
Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words.
Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc.
Advance Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons.
What to Expect:
Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements.
A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition.
A main character that is a part of a larger cast.
A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon.
A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character.
What Not to Expect:
Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more.
Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role.

Warning 1: Be prepared for the MC to spend an entire book's worth of words and time as an infant but hopefully you will enjoy it nevertheless.
Warning 2: Grandfather is legally abusive to MC for a couple of chapters but he is removed from that situation around chapter 30. To be edited out some time in the future.
